That old John Deere AO is like hen's teeth, especially if it has that serial plaque. To the right person, that tractor in that condition is worth a bit of money.

Funny, was watching your video and saw the old John Deere A tractor. Currently I’m working on a John Deere A tractor which hasn’t ran for many years. They had one 6 volt battery and one 12 volt battery in series. Installed new batteries, 6 volt this time in series, cleaned the carb drained the fuel tank and cleaned the sediment bowl now ready to start it. These old tractors are so simple compared to all the current stuff. Enjoy your videos, cheers my friend.
Now that the brakes on the trailer work you can put the auto slack adjusters back on

A good way to break free a tractor engine is to put it in gear and rock the rear wheels back and forth with the spark plugs removed

I know the Peterbuilt is a great truck and brand new and everyhting and I know you're keeping blue colar and restoring it but I feel like fixing blue collar up completely and using it as the work truck would be great but
I’ve got a guy just down the road from me that has a bunch of old tractors like that for sale. I bet you could get a few of those running 🤷♂️
Hello Bruce. I'm glad that things are going in the right direction with the ordeal you've had with your trailer. But you mentioned that the company is going to make good on the tires that were chewed up when trailer wasn't working right, which was Good of the company, without a doubt. But you mentioned an in the future thing that you've been promised ie brake repair pieces for the trailer if needed in the next couple years. That's a contract. If I were in your situation, I'd Email the specific person who told you that and when they eventually reply in kind saying something like, Yes Mr. Wilson, should you need to replace the trailer brakes, we will provide you the OEM or quality brake shoes, drums etc, etc...
I'd print copies of this exchange and hard copy file them away in addition to online storage.
1-3 years from now is a while from now and in case The Company develops amnesia between now and then, you will have memorialized that aspect of this incident.
It's not like replacing the brakes, your nickel, would shutter you company. But you've already been thru alot owing to this trailer not having been what they said it was or what you've needed it to have been. They've told you that they're good for the parts Future and I hope that you'll hold them accountable when, not If, but when that time comes.
Start paying less for these old tractors, 1k was crazy for that condition

Growing up in Indiana There was Case, IH, and John Deere. Occasionally a Ford or a New Holland. Never heard of Mahindra until your videos haha.
They are India But the smaller ones were a take off of a 414 IH
Same in Ontario Canada, dont see many of them, a coworker had one for his hobby farm. Bought brand new, he had it 3 years, it had been split 5 times for transmission/ pto problems at only 250 hours. Just a huge hunk of garbage needless to say he got rid of it and bough something else, and really put a bad taste in people in this areas mouth about those tractors.
Sad thing is it won't drag cuz you got manual slacks. Sadly manual slacks suck. That's why we went to auto adjusters. Bet if you put autos back on they will drag cuz something else is wrong. They be launching the parts cannon without actually knowing what's wrong
