Hello lovely sir I am YASAS BANDARA,i am from SRI LANKA ,i would like to work in your company.if you can give me a work permit or work contract ,i am ready to pay all the expenses, can you help me?thank you.
Just a little safety tip from a real life farmer don’t ever get in a combine harvester and start pressing buttons and flicking switches even if the machine has been sitting and not going for years and then try starting it because if someone happens to be standing in the grain bin of the harvester and you’ve flicked switches on and off and the augers start up it can cause serious injury or death
That's a 1460 international axial flow combine. They are very well made . I have one with low hours on our farm we use it. I also just bought a white 8900 with the 6 cylinder turbo diesel. The 1460 Has a turbo 6 cylinder diesel to. Shame to see that sitting and rotting away.
The rack is stuck in the injection pump. More than likely one or more plungers are stuck holding the rack. That's why it was running so rough. I would break all the lines loose and spin it over. Find one not pumping and take the delivery holder off , take valve out and free up the plunger. maybe just tap it down with a small punch.
My uncle owned an old Alice-Chalmers combine with a wheat/barley header on it. The strange thing about that old one is that it didn't have a windrower attached. So he first had to run a swather down the fields. The engine on that beast was mounted horizontally. I never drove it. I know it was gasoline powered. I assume it was hydraulic powered to the wheels. The combine was mechanical.
My family grew apples and pole beans in the summer. In western nc orchards were in different areas because of mountains. We still had trees on hills nothing was flat. When you sparyed you went from bottom to top and refill only half way to finish top . Our bean fields were miles apart because of little amounts of flat land in different places. Hauled tractors equipment everywhere, because we did all that farming with 4600 fords and 3000 fords small international cultivator. I've never seen a combine in person or the huge tractors used on flat land. Our tractor dealerships look like lawn tractor shops, compared to what you're probably used to seeing.
Hey Bruce if your boy there ever needs some side work he could try his luck on the wrestling scene as *The Cameraman Randy Ravage* and his special finishing move could be "The Flying Gimbal Drop" off the top rope. Just an idea.😁
Nice "tractor" lmao. But great video :) Love these will it start videos because I find them so satisfying and cool and it also inspires me to look around the farm for another project :D
Just cause the diesel goes full throttle don’t mean runaway right? I though a runaway diesel was when it runs even when the fuel have bin cut of. It run of its own oil.
Not nesceessarily, you can have a situation where the governor and/or the injection pump get stuck in the maximum fuelling position and the engine will keep revving & revving until mechanical disaster occurs, runaway generally means loss of engine speed control.
This is a shot in the dark But !!!! I have a LG 470 diesel Tractor. Started bush hogging a field and the tractor went bang ( not loud ) and put up a puff of smoke. I shut it down right away. Just got back to it today and it will not turn over but sounds like it wants too. checked oil and oil was within the good range. Planning on fresh battery as it has been sitting for 2 months now. Any idea or pointers or thoughts would be helpful. Thanks
That IH axial flow is about 1 years newer than my 6600 JD combine. IH was pretty far advanced for it's time but more electronics means more problems . Such as more wires for the 🐀 rats and mice to chew in half. That gets expensive 😳 in a hurry! Anyway, nice 👌 going with the diesel ⛽️ bath. Been there before!
It would have been easier to start if that had used the electric fuel that is on the left side of the machine. But since the governor was stuck it is good they got it shutdown. That looks like an 80 to 83 model 1440 or 1460.
Ryan “what’s that?”, Bruce “it’s a cigarette lighter”!🤣🤣🤣 that was priceless!!! Ryan, you need to do some mechanical, diesel, engine, automotive as a whole, homework on your off time!!🤣🤣 you are young you will learn!!😂
Those augers being on means that your separator is in gear. You are sitting on the separator drive. if the correct belts were still in place you would be pulled in
That was just the unloading auger. It's controlled by a mechanical lever to the left of the driver's seat. There were no belts on the separator drive pully.
Speaking of running off belts.. good friend of mine made the mistake of not shutting down while performing maintenance work and got caught up in the belts. Put him in a wheelchair due to broken back. These things are nothing to mess with.
A combine is used solely to harvest grain such as wheat barley corn and more a tractor is used in combination with attachments like seeders planters plows and cultivators

Yep he's sitting right on those pulleys. I was like ehhh not a good idea. always keep clear of parts that could start moving.
Seeing fuel spray all over Bruce was priceless! My kind of Bruce will it start video👍

Wasps, diesel bath, and a runaway diesel!!! Doesn’t get any better. Great video!
I am not sure if anyone else has had diesel in their eyes before, but
it burns like hell!!
I saw someone on another channel getting diesel in his eye...
He was NOT happy!
Yes. Yes it does. And it tastes horrible too lmao. Last time I got diesel in my mouth, I could taste nothing but diesel for a week.
I've had diesel in my eyes and mouth... Change a fuel filter on a gas burner and get it in your ear, then come back and complain 🤣
@@DeepSouthBayouDiesel 🤣 oh shit I bet that burned!!!

I was the guy that gave u a thumbs up at the end of the track this evening Bruce
Gotta love these old internationals . . .
The glasses save him
Dang i jumped when that fuel blowed out haha
That combine would make a great demo derby combine. I miss carrol co MD not having them after doing them for 5yrs or so.
Yes sir
I miss them too
Better to restore history than demolish it
17:17 the good part starts

"Spinny windys, turney tables, creepy crawlies." Bruce is definitely a dad. Hahaha
You ever see the combine demo derby’s? They’re on UA-cam. Hell of a watch
Fairfield county Ohio has them at the county fair every year
I miss one of the local Co used to have one, but haven't had one in several years
ran a few of them, they are great machines
Good evening y'all
That combine hosed you good

Also Bruce engaged the machine when he was messing with the switches
I spent alot of the harvest sitting on the buddy box with my grandfather he had an IH 1440 combine

Keep it up!!!
Enjoyed the video Bruce, that has to be a scary thing to witness, an engine runaway.
Thank god for the glasses so glad you wernt injured
Nice 👍
Heck yeah Bruce!! We have 2 old ih 1460 combines. And used one of them until 2 years ago Damn good machines and a ton of them still in the fields
I had one with a brand new motor only it hated it
After he flicked all of the switches in the cab on, when he got the motor to run it engaged the augers
We still run a 1660 it’s a good lil rig but she’s nothing flash

Best will it start in a while
You had it set to half throttle. That was about right.
The new combines have hydrostatic transmissions
That starting fluid will wake your liver up.
And also blow an engine up lol
Paint it black, put a #3 on it and other Earnhardt tributes so you can convince Clerus to host a combine demo derby
