    I also protect the shocks on my KTM. On the Touratech site you can find " Shock socks". They cost almost nothing but keep your shocks absolute clean and dust and water can't go in through the seals. There are also Shocksocks for the front steering. They have a smaller diameter. Also companies like Acerbis do sell them i think. They are doing a hell of a nob for keeping the shocks clean and prolonge their life.

    Now I have finally ordered a Wolf Warior 11+. It is delivered from E-Wheels in Norway. (I live in Northern Norway) So then I have it in about a week. I will do as many recommend and fasten all screws with Loctite. The movie that Ginger On Wheels made about this is just so informative.

    Great video my brother! My Wolf Warrior arrives in June. Just a few weeks away. How am I ever supposed to keep her off the 100 miles of trails down the street from my house and CLEAN like yours is before I do exactly what you did. Waterproof my baby? Guess I better buy my supplies now and keep her big, nobby , phat wheels on the pavement until she is ready like yours is now. I live in New Jersey & yes I have 100 miles of trails to ride on. So, my point is people: NJ isn’t all the North Jersey industrial wasteland y’all think it is.

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  4 роки тому +1

      Ya I would get some supplies now. Spend the first few hours you get it doing the waterproofing while it charges to full. Takes 10 hours to charge once you get it, assuming you have the 1 stock charger. I'm so jealous of your trails. Mine are getting boring.

      I did a lot of work out in NJ a decade ago. While Newark is a Shole, most of the state is absolutely beuatiful. Green grassy areas, trees, and a beautiful coast (was it the gold coast? I can't remember). NJ is definitely nicer than many think.

    I noticed in your video that your kickstand does not touch the rear swingarm when it’s up my kickstand rides right on the swingarm I was wondering if you made any adjustments to the kickstand to keep it away from the swingarm

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  5 років тому +1

      No I didn't make any adjustments. The kickstand on my scooter though barely allows the scooter to tilt to the side when the stand is down so the scooter would be very easy to tip over. I've been very aware of that. I was considering making an adjustment to move the kickstand so it provides more support when it's down, but that'll be another project. Does your kickstand leaves marks on your scooter?

    • @darrinanderson953
      @darrinanderson953 5 років тому +1

      Ginger On Wheels yes it leaves marks on the swingarm a little bit I wrapped some electrical tape around it to stop it from banging on it but the angle is good the scooter does not want to tip over. Thanks

      Yeah, the link no longer exists and I don't remember what size they were. it's suspension cover that was meant for a motorcycle that I ended up just cutting to size and then zip tying around the front forks.

    • @FUNKYLOCK
      @FUNKYLOCK 5 років тому +2

      Well I got a puncher on the back wheel if its a tubeless tyre then I might can fix without taking the wheel off with a tubeless repair kit. But I would love to know how to change the tyre and disconnect it from body of the scooter .

    • @GingerOnWheels

    Nice , I just bought one but what about the motor ? Very important

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  4 роки тому +3

      The motors are sealed and water resistant. Plus the centrifical force of the tire spinning keeps the water off of them for the most part. Splashing is fine. But dont ever submerge them. they get so hot that you can't really put silicone sealant on them without it melting.

    • @GingerOnWheels

      I actually just cut them down the back and slipped them over the fork then used black zipties to secure them in place. You CAN remove the tire and black fork/suspension ends by twisting them off, but it's a mega PITA

    Btw how do you wash your escooter when it gets all muddy?

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  4 роки тому +3

      I've never washed it with a hose like I would a car, though I might someday. I just wait until it dries then give it another ride when it's dry outside. All the big debris falls off. Then you can just wipe the dust layer off with wet paper towel.

    • @metaljew4456
      @metaljew4456 4 роки тому +1

      paska68 ; OR go to any Walmart or automobile store and buy a bottle of Waterless Car Wash. That and a bunch of Microfiber towels will work like magic to clean up ANY MESS. Then just wash your microfiber towels in the wash (by themselves) NOT with your clothes and you are ready for the next mess!

    Hey Ginger on wheels, im getting my wolf warrior 11 next week and was wondering if i really need to waterproof it like this. I dont know too much about scooters as it is my first and i am not planning to ride in trails yet. it is purely to get me from home to campus. my question is that if it is raining outside, is it very bad for me to ride it or will it be fine if i avoid puddles. will droplets of rain ruin the scooter either? Thanks so much!

    Mr Ginger I noticed this morning when taking the King out for a ride after the rain yesterday. There was a little bit of water coming from under the deck. Also the King was having issues with the rear wheel turning. However after pushing it a little all is fine. My question, is it really bad to get water inside the deck? Is see people ride in rain and through puddles and it seems ok. What’s your thoughts

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  3 роки тому +1

      Absolutely under no circumstance should water enter the deck. You need to open it and make sure its completely dry then do your best to seal all holes with silicone. You risk shorting out your controllers and/ or starting a fire with your battery if water shorts either of those connections.

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  4 роки тому +1

      No, no, no. The 60-second Loctite is a super glue. The silicone sealant comes in a big long to about a foot long and requires a caulking gun to use properly. Rtv sealant works as well.

    You do not want to threadlock into plastic pieces, because if you do, you will run the risk of breaking/stripping out the threads of the plastic. You want to loctite metal screws that go into metal panels. Too late to mention it now since you did it all ready a couple months ago.

    • @GingerOnWheels

      Ive taken the screws out a couple of times since then with no trouble. Just make sure you don't use a red loctite which is meant to be permanent. Blue loctite is removable
