Classic Dave Bits where messing up and joking about the quality of the show was the best part of his routine.

Like Dave, I think we all feel the need for an adjusment from time to time.
I like how the percentages steadily rise from zero and don't total 100 until the end rather than fluctuate up and down. I don't know why I even noticed it.

I miss Dave. Late night tv is horrible now.
I don't think I ever saw a Viewer Mail segment with e-mail before. I must've stopped watching the show before that started. The show was always fine, but there just seemed to be a greater sense of spontaneity to it in the 1980s and early 1990s. Seems like the last time it really felt spontaneous was when Dave used to direct Rupert Jee to harass people remotely.
