Great channel! I watch all of your vids and Im right behind you on an engine. You have me on the fence about raising the cab to swap out the engine... didnt want to tie up my lift but all that access is making me rethink it. Thanks for all you do making these videos!
Why do you have the lift then??? Just a question...lol I used to tell my son all the time to USE the tools he has at hand. Quality of repair is better imo. However, the Super Duty is great at allowing us to access the engine by digging in through the cooling pack. Let alone if the hvac box is removed. We have done most all bucket trucks and ambulances that way off the bat. Thank you for the kind words
Once again showing your quality and attention to details - I replaced those rubber/steel/plastic heater core lines on my pickup when I did the oil cooler just like you showed here. So much worth changing while a person is there with these pickups. Like those quick connect lines- if one failed on the side of the road you would be hating life trying to change that on the hot engine right behind the turbo 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤬
It actually is quite amazing the amount of oem parts we just acquired from the dealer. Lots of them back in stock and ready for sale. Them suckers just haven't been put ON sale yet!!! lol
Awesome job! If I break an electrical connector lock I just use a screw down where the broken lock is. I know.. (learned this in the army, field repair) but it holds up.... :)
You have got to explain a lil more on this. It sounds like you run a regular screw at the connection,, putting permanent holes in both connectors?? Thus, making a basic "mounting hole" for that connection?? Side of the highway or in a jamb,, that would fix the issue for sure!!! At that point,, who gives a crap about the hole,, at least its together huh??? I like it as a get out of jail free card in a pickle!!!
I am in Northern Iowa and I took my block heaters out of the 3 6.0's that we have. I think they cause water restrictions in the passenger head causing heat cracks in number 3 or 5 injector bores.
Julie on 🔥🔥 with the new replacement O-rings for the dipstick and even being able to find them when needed!!! 💪👌. Super refreshing to see that new ground cable at least be the quality that it should be, if not very expensive. Better than an expensive piece of crap 😄
Are you talking about the compucheck fitting?? I think that's the name of it. Holy crap you just broke the window!!!! Excellent idea!!!! We could bar the engine by hand and pressure all the freakin oil in!!!
I honestly think we are about to get a break on pricing. As long as we let them sit on some inventory for a couple months. They have all these new harnesses that are fresh off back order. Which means they have invested in making these parts (all the while they want their big investment back FAST). I wish we could get them to sit on inventory for a min and lose the inflation wave!!!!
@@AnthonyYoungblood Every new harness is worth its weight in gold as long as there's a guy around who knows to replace each harness pin with the correct one from the existing unit. Not sure who that guy is but I'll find him somewhere!
I love your attention to detail but I'm really surprised after all of these years that you still put the factory fuel system back on even though everyone knows the dead head style is junk.
I don’t agree,, If a guy needs a truck,, to pull his stacker trailer or whatever he needs,, I have seen a factory system be the backup. In all this time I haven’t seen a trend in #7&8 injectors being bad. Thank you for the kind words,, I just had to chime in on this topic. I am only a fan of things that fit. I have nothing against the more fuel,, more flow,, I just hate the cobble heck the heck outta crap that’s needed to have it!!! lol
Ok ok,, I bet there’s some nice setups out there that do fit huh?? I’ve done only a couple so I’m a lil biased against it. Prob the wrong ones tho huh??
I get it and I agree with your experience as the factory stuff works so why mess with its ideology. But in my personal opinion I've been running the Driven Diesel fuel bowl delete for over 10 years on a truck I studded myself and have never had a issue with that or the FASS and the sump in the tank. Just my opinion and experience but I still love everything you and your wife do you really put your heart and souls into it and I respect the shit out of that I put that into my own work.

Amazing build Anthony/Julie ,looking forward to the next build 🎉🎉🎉
These trucks are taking more and more effort it seems to get to that "completed" stage. Do they ever really get there tho??? lol
@@AnthonyYoungbloodI'm lucky my 6.4 is still running well. Being stock and all

I guess you could do it both ways. I just get it jammed by putting the screw along the clip track, easier access.
That fresh engine in chassis looks like a mechanical work of art
Thank you so much!!!! Run this thing to pri pulling the stacker and yank it out and put it on display?? Is it that good??
@@AnthonyYoungblood you got to admit it does look purdy 🤑

Sometimes she likes to flex huh 💪💪💪
I like that rack you use for the harnesses to hang
Home goods salvage yard baby!!!! lol
After 22 years of 6.0s why are we using the oil system quick fill fitting to charge oil system for after repairs?
Are you talking about the compucheck fitting?? I think that's the name of it. Holy crap you just broke the window!!!! Excellent idea!!!! We could bar the engine by hand and pressure all the freakin oil in!!!
Drill the hole, and weld a nut flush with the frame??
It would have to be in that spot tho. Right??? So the hole is already drilled. Welding THAT nut on is a great idea,, right where she sits!!
I actually am buying every part I can find so when my truck has issues in 15 years it can be fixed😂

I meant to ask in the last video, but forgot… What are you using for the EGR coolant pipe? There’s usually a J tube.
It’d be better to link a video. We have our own we install.

Hey Anthony I want to introduce you to hot glue I have been using a hot glue gun for years for plugs where the clip is broke and they never come off.
I wouldn't mind that,, cheap fast and good!!!! Got a link??? lol
I'll take one of those if you can get your greasy mitts on another one!
I’m sure that can be done!!!! I don’t know whether to be happy or not cause it costs so much!!!
