  • I hadn’t planned any parts yet cause we didn’t know the outcome of the welding of the tone ring. So that decision costed us a day. But in turn we only get what we need. We did not make a trip to the shop so we just bought the parts.
What are your thoughts on revisiting everything here??? Giving a 150 mile check-up?? It is already on the stand...

Hey Anthony. I trust your judgement on this one. The only flaw was the tone ring. How the tooth got damaged? We don't know. I do know you and Julie was not going to leave Ron out to dry! In my eyes. Both you and Julie have demonstrated great business practices and professionalism! The term above and beyond fits here! Finish her up and send it! Hoping to get mine done also.

Pull the oil filter and see if there's any metal in it.

For the Injector Connector O ring..... slide them all on a 13/16 chrome deep socket, push the socket on top of the connector, briskly slide the O ring down and it's on... done.

In my opinion and because it would be my reputation. I would be dissembling and going through it again. It will pay dividends because of the care you have taken and people notice things like that. It sucks yes , but i wouldn’t be up all night tossing and turning about it 😎

Anthony, what are you doing all the work? You went through putting that nice looking engine together. If you start you seeing anything, you should be taken apart while you got it out.Follow your first mind and follow someone. That has been through that before. If you take it loose now, you would have total piece of mine.Think about it. You showing me enough things where aint no d*** way?I will put that back together like that. You're going to have a come back.

I agree, you were really careful while fixing that tone ring. I would reassemble it and go myself. Best of luck. I understand your decision absolutely. It's just so much work to tear down all those seals, clean everything, etc etc.

Catch 22 situation. If you don't pull it apart, deep in your gut you will always question it. If you do pull it apart and find nothing, you will feel you wasted the time and money. Given the situation, and that you lost the motor in that other customer's rig, I might just err on the side of safety and pull it apart. Sucks, but if everything looks great then you KNOW everything is fine.
