Best V7 video I’ve seen. Everyone else seem afraid to push this bike. Sounds great, thanks for the vid!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful sound and lovely bike. A big salute from southern Alabama. I watch every video I can on Moto Guzzis. Yours is one of the best.
Thanks 👍
What a ride! What a sound! Thanks for sharing, mate!
My pleasure. The Reefton spur is always exciting. Love the sound of the Moto Guzzi's mechanical music.
Very cool - sounds great too! Reminds me of hitting the Mt Lindesay Twisties on Wifey's CB500F with an arrow pipe :)
Cheers Captain, love the sound of the V twin.
Such an awesome bike!! I've been doing a lot of "lasts" before lockdown too. Pretty crazy times hey.
Crazy times indeed. Had the best riding season this year ever and dont want it to stop. Didnt do any big adventures like you but three or four day trips a week. At least you have some land around you to stretch your legs. Cheers JoeJoe.
Oh wow, what an exhaust note!
Got to love it when the Guzzi sings.
Ah man, wish they kept the dual gauge cluster on the V7 III. Looks so good.
Love the dual gauge cluster myself. Love having a tach.
@@BikesDrones Truth!
They did, you just have to get the Special or Milano.
Sorry to hear about the rider who crashed. Glad you could get out for a ride before shutdown. Stay safe...practice social distancing......it works.
Hope the rider recovers quickly. Not a good time go to hospital. It was a great way to end the best riding season of my life. Sad to see it end. In lockdown with a wife and two daughters, might not get as much social distancing as I want, may have to spend more time in the garage :>) Cheers brother.
That was a heck of a nice ride 👍
The reefton spur is our version of The tail of the dragon. Probably with just as many crashes as some riders get a bit overexcited and cars cut corners. Thanks Viper6.
Your motorcycle Sounds Amazing 💯
Thanks RRR the sound is intoxicating in real life.
I start my Reefton ride in Somerville, then out through Pakenham to Belgrave. The road between Belgrave and Launching Place where you hit Warburton highway is absolute magic if you haven't tried it! Shame you got U turned, hopefully the injured rider is all good now.
Cheers Rob. Ride these roads a lot. Love to make a loop out of Gembrook - Launching place. Sometimes up and down Mt Donna Buang then Reefton Spur and the Black Spur then home. These roads are my play ground. Used to ride up to three times a week in these areas before we were put under house arrest by the plague that is Dictator Not my Fault Dan.
I love your Avatar. My last bike before the Moto Guzzi was an XB12Ss. Buells are so much fun once you open them up :>)
Lovely road! Good luck down there and keep those arses clean! 😉 👍 🏍
Cheers Martybartfast, will do.
Glorious
Thanks Dave. That V twin sound was eargasmic. Always made me smile.
Love that road. My last ride before lock down was Lerderderg State Park
Lucky man, looks like great riding. I was watching your video on the dirt trails off the spur the other day. Always wanted to get my DRZ up there. No need to be locked down Aaron.

A lot of those tracks off the spur have been blocked off now. I had a ball riding them.
Your bike sounds awesome😎🤘
Thanks Brett. Love the sound myself. Enjoyed your 300 sub video. Couldn't leave a comment, you must have made it "suitable for kids" and they automatically disable comments.
@@BikesDrones oh really didnt know that

Just bought a 2013 V7 and it sounds just like this. It’s my first bike ever
It a mechanical symphony. Congratulations. The 2013 is a great model, no electronics except ignition so that adds to its reliability.
Hi I Just found your video, great job! May I ask you what kind of windshield was that... Have you got a link for it? Tnks in adv
DART flyscreen. MOTO GUZZI V7 (MK I & II) ‘MARLIN’
Very cool videos of your lovely v7. could you tell me which mirrors these are? Thanks, Stefan
HALCYON 830 Bar End round
Such a great road that one. I've only ever ridden it once.
Shame you were turned around. Hope the rider wasn't too bad. :-(
The guy controling the traffic said he was OK but we saw another ambulance and some paramedics heading up there soon after. I was hoping to ride there with you myself on one of your Melbourne visits. Maybe next time :>)
@@BikesDrones I keep saying to myself that the next trip I'll stay in Melbourne for longer so I can catch up with people, but each time ends up being a mad rush and I don't even feel like I've spent enough time with my family. Next time!
Fantastic Machine and Incredible sound! Any chance you can link the exhaust? i have a v7 ii , looking to get a louder, deeper exhaust sound.
It was a shorty reverse cone muffler I packed with fiber glass. They are available many different places and are very cheap. Looks like this cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0253/7093/products/rev_cone_short_blk_01.jpg?v=1432105316
I'm thinking about getting a similar slip on exhaust for my V7ii. Did you need to remap/retune your ECU when switching from the stock pipes?
No I didn't need to adjust the ecu. The V7 ran perfect. It was a model before yours not sure if yours run leaner.
Great sound - ever get any undue attention from the coppers?
What exhaust was it?
It was a generic reverse cone exhaust. I had packed it with some fibre glass to tone it down :>) I have had one biker cop look but nothing more than that. It is certainly not a stealth system but sounds so good with the stereoscopic effect from two separate pipes.
@@BikesDrones Nice, probably a bit to loud for me but at least you can hear it, I love the basey thump from that V twin
Oh it looks like these ones from Tasmania ua-cam.com/video/_3TuboRyuGg/v-deo.html
@@kell7195 Those ones are much better quality and have a heat shield to protect against melting your boots on them.
@@BikesDrones Lol yeah I see that shield, im guessing you have a melted boot?
I like the motor sound😂
Thanks mate, it is music to my ears,
Hey mate what year is your v7 ? 👍✌👏😇;-)
2013 Loved that bike.
Sweet ride what tires are you using?
I used CONTINENTAL® CONTI ROAD ATTACK 3 very happy with them. They are radial tires and that makes a huge difference.
@@BikesDrones thank you. I will be looking into them. Went to bike shop to ask them what tires they recommended & he didn’t know.
@@eboz3213 If your coming off the pirelli sport demons to the Contis you will be amazed at the grip and the confidence you get with them. Enjoy your ride.
@@BikesDrones they are the Dunlap street smarts. (Came with bike new) I don’t like them at all.just watched a 2021 best tires of 2021 & that tire makes the best sport touring tire for 2021 list.
guzzi note is up there
eargasmic for me
For a moment there I got a little bit home sick, just a little bit... rsm8...
Its not all bad in Victoria, It has its nice days every now and again :>)
Very nice video! Love to see the V7 racing through the corners! I'm thinking of getting one myself, how do you feel about the "modest" amount of power? Haven't driven one myself yet, but on paper they don't seem too powerful, but I've seen enough videos to realise that it definitely isn't slow..! ;)
The power is an issue. They have lots of torque and you can hussle them along. It can be a bit frustrating passing if your used to a bigger engine. Having said that they have all the power you need for everyday use and a great ownership experience. Best to test ride one first, to see if its the bike for you. I loved mine and miss it now, I bought a bike with 3 times the power :>)
@@BikesDrones Thanks for your reply, I'll definitely go and try one soon! I'm used to a 2017 Z650 which I used to get my license, so it will be very different! :-) I do love the looks of the V7, they are gorgeous!
@@RiskyRI agree, such a beautiful machine with a load of charm and character.
Is that stock exhaust?
No I have added some generic shorty reverse cone mufflers. Sounds great in real life.
Bummer about the crash. sure looked like a great road for your last ride before restrictions.
Think it was a serious crash, ended up two ambulances and and some medics being sent. The reefton spur is a fantastic ride but a potentially dangerous one with loads of blind corners and cliffs on one side. Might squeeze in a few bush rides on the DRZ, away from everybody. Thanks Tex.
@@BikesDrones I've been thinking of a drz ride too , not sure if we have restriction or not yet......should pay more attention i guess
just looked seems i'm under restrictions already hahaha
@@JustTex You will just have to ride through the forest on the way to the shops ;>)
