Hello BABUSHKAS! Thanks so much for watching 🔺🙏 these are TOO fun to make and draw, hope you enjoyed the Huntress’ story :) NEW VID on Sunday - 10 GROSS BOW Mutations! Have an awesome day everyone, all the feedback has been amazing :) thank you!
The thing that F*cks me up about the Huntress is her laugh she does when she sings her lullaby. It sounds like someone imitating a noise to make you think you’re okay, see, someone’s laughing, having a good time. Never mind that hatchet speeding towards your skull...
One more interesting fact for those who are interested in the russian part of her lore: Huntress is humming a motive of a russian lullaby called «Bayu bayushki bayu», wich tells small children and babies that they should sleep far from the edge of the bed, otherwise the wolfs will bite them by the side and drag them to the forest "under the raspberry bush"... Stealing and capturing children is what Anna exactly do, even she's not a wolf though (but she has those cosmetics with a wolf mask in game). :)
Bubba was abused as a child and is mentally disabled, he kills because he thinks anyone who isn't his family is out to hurt him and the people he loves :(
This is one tragic/horrifying story I've ever heard, Anna was not a monster until her mother died and turned into one, reminds me of the story of Lisa Trevor from Resident Evil, great and twisted story Nacho 👍
The German soldier in that cutscene was WW1 German soldier because he’s wearing a Pickelhaube helmet so she was around during the First World War (1914-1918)
Well I think she's normally barefoot the bandages are probably for her archs. Her archs probably don't touch the ground much so they wouldn't be as strong as the rest of her feet. She's probably used to it and doesn't need shoes now, well she probably never needed shoes much
@@Lost_AtSea_ That explained why Anna’s feet are rough and worn out most of the time. Inside muds there would be something sharp like a broken tree branch that can stab her feet. Realistically speaking swamps are to be avoided at all costs. Not even beasts would go there for too long due to the existence of swamp gas. Anna likely does not have shoes so she has to go through the forest in barefoot.
Ik but when he was talking about when she was a littlw girl he said 1920-1930 I was just saying that her mother died in front of her in 1890-1910 since she was a adult during ww1 1914-1918
The song she’s humming is called Bayushki Bayu and the lyrics that seem to enforce her character go “ Sleep my darling tiny one Tucked within your bed so tight Else the old grey wolf will come And grab you by your side He'll snatch you up between his teeth If on the bed's edge you sleep And drag you to the forest deep Beneath the quaking tree”

I love the drawings you include, they add so much to the videos, and honestly when you think about it, the huntress has such a tragic childhood. Keep up the vids though man, I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s been loving them!

Oh Ana 💔 I started playing her recently but I could never understand just how sad her lullaby was when I played against her. I always got this sense of loss, grief and pain.
Her description of 'ripping into a man's neck with 1 hand' sounds unbelievably brutal. I would like to imagine she just punched the guy so hard her fist clenched into the man's spinal cord, so she bent his head back with the other hand & severed the head like she was tearing a stalk of celery in half. Russian Bear Woman, waifu AAA material. Anna, Zarya from Overwatch, & Balalaika of Black Lagoon are all favorites of mine. I've been aware of DbD since its Beta. I recently found your channel 2 weeks ago, & the 'Kill Count' of each Villain. The Huntress, the Trapper, & The Plague (Priestess of Athens?) all stood out to me as 'Strangely compelling backstories'. She began as a hardcore little girl, in a woods so cold that each SINGLE STEP is a monumental effort in the Deep cold, a survivalist from infancy. Her mother died killing the Elk that nearly killed Anna. She threw herself infront of the Demon Elk's horns. She lived alone, killing wild animals until one day she encounters a battlefield & tracks Russian soldiers to their camps. She observes 'human interaction' from the worst of humanity. (Debatable. Patriots, not Mercenary Bandits. The Line becomes blurred in War) She uses the Mask to feel closer to her Dead Mother. She encaptures 'Bubushkas' in order to feel something other then her bloodlust, maybe a 'Channel' back into her past-life before she was Alone & consumed by the need to Kill. Unfortunately, seeing 'their family's murderer singing to them while they are being neglected & chained by the neck' is enough to give most of them a Fatal Panic attack, suffocating all but the most defiant. They all eventually die from heartbreak & exposure, which flings Anna's Psyche from Mother Wolf to Lone Wolf, 500% Bloodlust to 1000% Bloodlust setting. She kills to avenge her father, she kills to remember the day before she was alone & her mother died defending her. She abducts to feel remorse (maybe, hard to tell) & while she 'might' think she's rescuing these girls from either neglectful or worthless families, she is absolutely DEEPLY scarring & destroying their lives, like hers was through Fate.
My mum would always sing that song to me as a child. The song translates about not sleeping to close to the edge of the bed or the wolf will grab you and eat you up.
