Just came across your videos & I am so grateful and impressed. I finally addressed my prolapse because I was afraid. But you have encouraged me & reduced my fear. You are clear, positive, knowledgeable, and your presentation & demonstrations are clear. Thank you, thank you!
This was very helpful. I especially appreciated you saying that "avoid" does not necessarily mean "you can never do this again". I was not enjoying going to the gym any more out of worry I would inadvertently do harm. Thank you. I am 62, BMI is 23.5, in excellent health but have a sedentary job. I wish I had known about POP 25 years ago when I first noticed my tampons falling out when I had a BM. Yet POP was never mentioned in annual Gyn exams. I had no urinary incontinence so it was not a problem until tissues were actually visible at the mouth of the vagina. I am now 11 weeks post-op from hysterectomy, bladder sling, cystocele, rectocele and apical vaginal vault repair using the DaVinci robotic procedure. Textbook recovery, no problems with incontinence or inability to completely empty bladder. About 9 months ago I started a more regular exercise program including HIIT, strength training and yoga. Since my surgery I find the Adaptive Motion Trainer and Stair Climber actually preferable to the treadmill or explosive moves I was doing for HIIT. My question is primarily regarding resistance training, specifically kettlebells - Romanian and kickstand deadlifts and single and double arm swings mostly. Is it safe to continue with light weight so long as form is correct, lower abdominals and glutes engaged? I feel comfortable with 15 lb., 3 sets of 25 reps. on the swings, 3/12 on the lifts. I would like to progress to more reps and heavier weights but do not want to re-injure.
Congrats on the successful recovery! That's wonderful! Your question about kettlebells is a controversial one; some women's fitness experts say "never" and others say "okay" as long as you're engaging the core correctly (as you described) and breathing steadily (focus on exhale with exertion). I'm such a proponent of body awareness that my answer tends toward the "okay" side with the caveat that you really *really* need to tune into your body and STOP if you notice that the exercise feels "off" for you. Start with less than you think you should or CAN do, work up to longer intervals of training, and again... REALLY tune in. You are the person who knows your body best, and as long as you're exercising smartly and with awareness, there's a lot you can do even with prolapse and/or post-surgery! Good luck!

Thank you, Bri, for this and your other videos. My question is: I was fitted with a pessary and have started jogging again just a little bit. It feels great to be able to do it again, but I would not like to make my prolapse progress any further. (it's now stage 2-3.) What would you recommend?
Annie, I hate to put you off but HOLD THIS QUESTION... I have an interview coming up in May or early June with Julie Wiebe, PT, who is an expert on this subject! We're going to be talking specifically about prolapse and running. In the meantime (i.e. while you're waiting for this much-anticipated interview!) I would encourage you to use your pessary when running, run for short bouts (walking between bouts), and focus on great posture (no forward head) and steady breathing while you're running. Don't be scared of it... Just listen to your body and really feel into whether or not it's working for you AT THIS TIME. I hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing this valuable and outstanding information Dr. Bri. You shed a light on this topic because I love crossfit, burpees, etc., but needed to stop because my pelvic floor was tight and hurting. Also I had overactive bladder since I was 16 (32 right now) and now I'm experiencing some kind of prolapse after 1 childbirth 6 years ago. I think my body is telling me to slow down before developing more prolapse and being stressful.
Great videos Bri! They have meant so much to me, you have no idea! I love how positive you are about how we can be in control of getting our lives back after prolapse and it is not a life sentence (which is how I originally felt... loss for hope, and I'm not even necessarily a severe case.. I've just been truely misinformed about what I can do for my own healing). Anyway! ive seen a bunch of videos and wanted to know if long distance walking can help improve prolapse or if it is something that does not make much of a difference or aggregates it since you are on your feet for an extended period of time. Every time I go for a walk I feel stronger and healthier but then I have days when I'm on my feet and i feel strained at the end of the day. I would really like to start walking a few miles a day but I'm not sure if it will be as helpful as your exercise videos (Which I would do in combination with walking anyway!) I am aware of posture and have been incorporating it into my walks. Just wanted to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
Lisa, thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad my videos have been helping you. Walking is a FANTASTIC exercise; really, it's what humans were designed to do, so I say GO FOR IT. It's a great strengthener for all of the muscles of the hips and core (including the pelvic floor) and I love that you mentioned being aware of your posture while walking. I would simply encourage you to do your longer walks in the morning, when you're able. That way you're not waiting until the end of the day when your pelvic floor is already strained and/or fatigued. I hope that helps! I'm a daily walker, myself... And in fact I'm going to head out right now!
Hi Kyla, the cross trainer should be fine just be sure that you don't hold your breath while exercising... Ever! squats should be fine but for now, while waiting for your diagnosis, consider skipping the weights (if you typically do weighted squats) and just do "air squats." Be sure to EXHALE on the way UP and you should be fine. Last thing: always listen to your body and stop if anything feels like it's making your symptoms worse.
I have a pelvic floor prolapse. I am absolutely miserable because of it. I have a lot of pain and pressure. I know I need to start doing some type of exercises to make my pelvic floor stronger. but I'm hearing that if you don't do them correctly you can make it worse so now I'm afraid to do anyting. Please help me with a video for beginner to to strengthen her pelvic floor. Thank you so much
Can prolapse be reversed ? Assuming that it is not too advanced. I heard you talk about not progressing but, I have also heard some doctors say that it can be placed back in proper position without surgery. Is this possible? Thanks for posting such great videos!
Yes! It is possible with proper exercise and lifestyle management! I'm going to be posting a series of videos called "Lift" starting Sept 25 that are all about prolapse management. Hopefully it will be helpful for you!
Hi Dr. Brie, I recently found out I have 2-3 stages of prolapse and have been following your videos and exercises which have been tremendous help! Thank you SOOO much ! I have question about how much pop exercise do I need each day ? And would you be so kind to tell me how should I do it please? Thank you for your help and caring ! Ju O
Hi Ju! I'm so glad my videos have been helpful! I think this blog post will give you some answers, and I definitely recommend signing up for my "Lift" series (which you can do via the instructions in the post): femfusionfitness.com/lift-pelvic-organ-support/
Dr. Bri.. Do you have any special foods or drinks that you can suggest. I drink Water with Lots of Lemons in my bottle. I eat plenty of nuts. Are those helpful for preventing proplapse?
Use kegel balls twice a day for ten to fifteen minutes to re-educate pelvic floor and fix minor prolapse in a few days. I don’t know if it works for more advanced prolapse. Electronic kegel balls exist for about 100$ on Amazon.
Hi. I don't have prolapse that I know of but am wandering if jumping on a trampoline could cause it. I do have a tilted pelvis, fibromyalgia and am 70 years old. Thanks.!
Trampoline jumping is lower-impact than jumping on hard ground, so that's a plus! It really depends on the strength/integrity of your connective tissues and also on your breathing patterns. Never hold your breath!
Hy Brie, thank you for your videos. I have a question- do you run again? I was runing before pregnency, but I laber 1 month ago and got uterus prolaps😔 am I going to run ever again?
Hi Dr. Bri! Thank You so much for this video - your videos always mean so much to me. My question is - I think I understood you to say the bicycle is not good for prolapse? Is that right? And would that include the stationary bicycle and how about a Low Seated position with your legs extended to the pedals and you are pushing the pedals and it also has arms that you push. I’m not sure the name of the machine but it is like a seated elliptical machine. Thanks so Much!!
Thanks for your kind comment, Vicky. Both types of exercise bikes are fine, as long as you can maintain proper posture (don't slouch/slump) and steady breathing (don't hold your breath). Also, make sure that it feels good in YOUR body. Everyone is different! This video explains more: ua-cam.com/video/QEgCDa_nuzo/v-deo.html
Do you have a video or images of a pelvic floor/prolapse friendly exercise routine. I am not new to workouts but have to change my program due to prolapsed bladder lift. I have been cleared to exercise but need a program that I can follow a couple of times a week at the gym. Thank you.
Dear Bri, I very much like your videos and they are really hepfull for me. I just realized, couple of days ago, that I have prolapse, and wil search medical help as well, since I don't know how severe it is. I am a runner for couple of years and am wondering should I stop with running. I run usually between 5 and 8 km, three times a week. Walking might be better idea for prolapse, what do you think?
Hi Suzanna! Walking is a wonderful exercise for people with prolapse; great for total body conditioning as well as pelvic floor health. Please stay tuned to my UA-cam channel, as I'll be airing an interview at the end of May with a renowned physical therapist (Julie Wiebe, PT) and we're going to be discussing this exact topic: prolapse and RUNNING! It'll be perfect for you. Stay tuned...
i am a male of 41 years old, i have issues with urination and defecation, my doc told me it is chronic non bacterial prostatitis and bladder neck obstruction , should this routine help or should i resort to the surgery option? i have been dealing with this since june 2017 and my life is like hell will this end over a time or the bladder neck obstruction adds more troubles to my pelvic muscles? thanks in advance
This is a question that only your healthcare provider, since he or she is seeing you one-on-one. That being said, while you're working with your healthcare provider, you will likely benefit from the videos in my pelvic pain/tension playlist. You can view it here: ua-cam.com/play/PLDputRBPsHFQJ6PhSXjW54Oi-QoNCqsGL.html Good luck!
It should be fine as long as you exhale with exertion (i.e. exhale as you go up the steps) and keep your posture tall (try not to slouch or lean forward). All my best!
What about a recumbent bike? Mine is indoor so no bumps. I have to exercise 3-4 hours per week for my fibromyalgia and cholesterol levels. Now I find out that I have a prolapsed uterus. My doctor says I’m at stage 2.
The only difficulty with recumbent bikes is that it can be easy to slouch. As long as you can keep your spine straight (and keep breathing), then give it a try and see how it feels for your body!
Hi Dr. Brian, yr videos r great. I love to do yoga but after delivery of my 2nd child now I'm having diastasis recti, she is 6 months old, pls suggest what exercises r safe for DR & how can I close that abdominal gap..
Hi Sweta, I recommend going to this link: bit.ly/FemPlaylists and viewing all of my playlists. You might enjoy my "Ab Camp" playlist (start at the very beginning and work your way through the end!)
Just be sure to keep breathing (don't hold your breath) and be sure to keep good posture (no slouching while biking)... Other than those general guidelines, it's going to be totally individual -- monitor your condition and see how you feel!
Hi Ashmeta Magar! You might enjoy my free "Lift" series. You can learn more about it and sign up here: femfusionfitness.com/lift-pelvic-organ-support/ After signing up, you'll receive 1 email per week for 5 weeks. Each weekly email will link you to the instructional video for that week, and a handout with a summary of the exercises and lifestyle tips (so that you don't have to re-watch the video every day).
Hi, I have a question. I have a uterine prolapse stage 2-3. Is it ok to do the hip abductor machine at the gym and also leg curls if I do low weights? Also, what about stationary bikes? Thank you!
It all depends on how it feels in your body! These moves are possible when you BREATHE appropriately (in order to manage your intra-abdominal pressure) and engage your core muscles correctly. This video has some good suggestions: ua-cam.com/video/QEgCDa_nuzo/v-deo.html and I also talk about this information in my Lift program: femfusionfitness.com/lift
Hi there, have just discovered your channel, thank you so much! Recently diagnosed with a prolapse following birth. You mention jogging up hill and walking down hill - so is jogging lightly associated with NOT worsening/causing prolapse progression (generally)? Thank you so much
Hi Dr Bri. Thanks for the video. Its very informative. Can you please tell me if it is safe to use elliptical machine for exercise if one is having prolapse or it should be avoided.
Great question! The elliptical should be fine as long as you keep your breathing steady (don't hold your breath), as long as you don't lean forward too much, and as long as you really focus on the hip extension (the push BACK of your legs) when moving them around. Take care!
Thanks Dr. Bri. Elliptical is similar to cycling and in your video you mentioned that cycling should be avoided. So I was little worried. Please guide me.
In the video what I was referring to is oblique ("bicycle") crunches... Not the use of an actual bike. Biking is usually okay, as long as you're not slouching/slumping in the seat (this is particularly important to keep in mind if you're using a recumbent bike).
Thanks a lot Dr. Bri for all the replies you have given. It has helped me in clearing lot of questions I had regarding prolapse. I am suffering from 2nd degree prolapse and was really worried about it. I was also worried about the exercises which could deteriorate the condition and you have helped me in getting out of the dilemma. One last question. Should skipping and squatting exercises be avoided.
Squatting can be done safely (which I'll demonstrate in Week 3 of the "Lift" series here on my channel), but skipping may need to be avoided --- at least initially, while you're working on strengthening your pelvic floor and core muscles and improving body awareness --- since it's fairly high impact. However, everyone is different and skipping might be okay for you! I'm so glad my videos and answers have been helpful for you. :)
Can you have a hypertonic floor with a prolapse ? Thats the boat I am in and it's frustrating . I go to pelvic floor therapy but she advises me to not do kegals until my muscle spasms are resolved . 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Hey! That's a great question. I'm not personally a horseback rider and so I can't give you a solid answer. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that serious riding would involve some impact (and high impact activities generally need to be avoided or modified with prolapse); however, riding is also a great activator of the adductor (inner thigh) and hip muscles, and so in that way it could be a great total pelvic-girdle strengthener. I would just caution you to breathe correctly (exhaling with exertion; never holding your breath). Again since I'm not a rider I can't explain how best to breathe for your pelvic floor health. I hope that helps!
If you're doing them correctly --- i.e. heart lifted, spine long, un-tucking your bum (not rounding your spine or tucking under), sitting back, and exhaling on the way up... then they're generally safe! Even for prolapse. I would avoid weighted squats, at least initially, and ALWAYS listen to your body. Stop if anything feels like it's not right for your particular core/pelvic floor needs.
I recommend consulting with a women's health physical therapist in your area for an evaluation of your degree of prolapse and an individualized treatment plan. All my best to you!
I am a long time yoga teacher and now have a 73 year old very active woman student who has prolapse. What yoga postures do you suggest to avoid and include in her private sessions with me? She cannot put her head down in any inversions due to an inner ear malfunction. So I am limited in what I can teach her. She is in excellent health and BMI. She will probably need surgery in the next 6 months.
Can she have her hips elevated on the lowest height of a yoga block for supported bridge? Or is that still too high? That's a nice resting pose. If/when you forward bend, then have her exhale and lift her pelvic floor and gently draw in her abs while folding. Your role may largely be helping her learn to identify her pelvic floor and core muscles and how to effectively activate and relax them. I encourage you to watch this video/interview about yoga and prolapse: ua-cam.com/video/VCN1jvF-Bk8/v-deo.html
I had 3 miscarrisges last yr 2018, February, August. And September 30, then at the end of October I felt like there's a heavy metal that might fall in my vagina, so I went to my OB for acheck up. She exqmined me thru a transvaginal ultrasound on my back and said that my uterus is low. She gave me a suppository for vaginal tightening for 7 days but instead of feeling better the heaviness feeling worsen that I can't even walk it and even when I lay down I feel like my hips downward is going to separate from my upper body. It's like I'm in a labor, so painful. Then I went for a 2nd opinion and she examined me thru transvaginal ultrasound on my back with my hips on 2 pillows. She said that I just had an infection because of my discharge, and that uterus are really low so it's normal. She gave me an antibiotic for 7 days which made me dizzy and I even had a fever at the time I'm taking it so I went for a follow up check up immediately but she said I'm fine as well as the infction without any test. Til now I feel pain everyday in my reproductive area and hips. As well as legs and feet cramps 24/7. I don't know how to get rid of the pain. I'm laying down with 2 pillows on my butt daily as well awms put my feet up on the wall. And also other exercises wherein the pelvc area is higher than my upper body. I JUST WANT TO KNOW SINCE THERE IS NO CLEAR DIAGNOSTIC FROM MY OB's, DO I HAVE A PROLAPSE WITH THESE SYMPTOMS?
I will try your exercises dis summer. I hope I'll be healed. I'm a teacher so when school starts again or by as early as next month May. I'll be forced to stand up and sit only for 12 to 20hrs, depends on the take hone work that I need to finish.
I'm sorry, but I am unable to provide you any type of diagnostic information. I wish you all the best as I can tell that you're going through a lot, both physically and emotionally right now. I recommend checking out my pelvic pain/tension videos here: bit.ly/FemPlaylists
@@vibrantpelvichealth Thank u very much Dr. Bri, you already helped and enlightened me. Before, I'm afraid to walk, move and do some household chores because it's really heavy and painful, but now I feel less pain and heaviness, as well as less worried in moving, hence, I move more and almost resume in doing d household chores except lifting and d laundry. I also stop when feeling d heaviness on my pelvic area then lay on my back with 2 pillows and it really helps. 😊 BTW, You're fulfilling d mission God assigned to u so I know HE is with you always. 😇 I'm praying that He'll give you more strength & wisdom in order for you to help others more. So I want to get well for them. So again, thank u so much Dr. Bri.You're heaven sent.😊😘
Hi, is it OK to do aqua aerobics because you are upright throughout? Please can you do a video for rectocele, if you already haven't done one. Thank you so much.
Hi there! Water aerobics is great due to the buoyancy of the exercise (it's non-impact). Go for it! Thanks for the video suggestion. All my best to you!
Laurie West I believe that recumbent biking is not good, but I love regular biking and often lean a bit forward. It’s amazing how with prolapse we have to totally rethink our way of exercising! Wishing you hope on this journey!
Side planks? It depends on how you do them. It is important to maintain good posture. A pelvic floor PT can help you check your alignment during the move, and potentially suggest some modifications --if needed.
Steady breathing is key!!! Don't hold your breath. If you find yourself really exerting to go up a step, be sure to exhale as you're elevating yourself up.
Hi Dr I have three fibroid two inside utrous 2.5cm and one is outer wall of fibroid before its 4.7 now after yoga these inside fibroid were reduce but outer wall is increase my age is 47 but I don't want to remove my utrous and avoid oppression and I have endromiosis ,pelvic pain also.plz advice me help me.
Hi. I had my pelvic repair surgery for prolapse on 22nd of July 2018. Now I want to know the dos and don't after this surgery. When can I start being normal. When can I start exercising? Can I do aerobics? It has things like jumping, crunches, squat, plank, touching ur toes while standing, kickboxing etc.what about gym machines like treadmill, cycle When can I start sex life. I'm really scared about it How much weight can I lift in doing housework
I wish you a smooth recovery, Ashoo Khan! You'll have to speak directly with your surgeon about his or her protocol for the type of surgery you just underwent. Good luck!
1. I have written down notes but hear the word "bike" I am wondering if you mean the bikes like at the gym. Should I avoid doing the bike? 2. Also because I had a hip replacement I have been doing push up, pull back and sideways pushes against a weight machine. It has really helped with my leg strength but will it have strained my prolapse even if I exhale as push?
Hi Robin, as I mention in the video (or perhaps I mentioned it in this one: ua-cam.com/video/yHePbvXB3u8/v-deo.html) exercise bikes are usually fine as long as you're aware of your posture and not slouching in the seat. Re: the leg exercises you described, it sounds fine as long as you're -- again -- maintaining proper posture (i.e. not slouching) and exhaling with exertion. Always listen to your body, and seek assistance from a trainer who understands pelvic floor concerns if you aren't sure!
This video is the final video in my yoga for beginner's series, and it describes the breathing patterns that may help protect your pelvic floor. Check it out, I think it might help you: ua-cam.com/video/p5wzf_aWebA/v-deo.html
I'm so sorry to hear that! Sometimes it takes a few trials (i.e. trying different types) to get the right fit. I have a video about pessaries here: ua-cam.com/video/ifcMe5LjiPk/v-deo.html
Yes! But it's always important --- prolapse or not --- to check in with your body and see how you're feeling, how your body is responding (etc.) and adjust from there.

Thank you so much. Big help!
I Subscribed already.
Hi i have a suspected prolapse got an appointment at my drs soon. I was just wondering are squats ok and using the cross trainer. Thanks 😊😊
Could you please tell us if there is a difference between pelvic floor dysfunction and prolapse? Thanks 😊
Can i do some exercises for having this prolapse? Thank you very much!
Thank you so much
I am beyond grateful for your youtubechannel and your excellent book!!!
Thank you so much for telling me that, Debb! xoxox!
Brilliant and most helpful.
Hello Dr can you please advice me can you use a leg master if you have prolapse? Your tips are invaluable.. thanks
Thank you ,I am delighted to have find you .
Is it reversible ?
Is running or jogging good for prolapse?
How to lift heavyweights i.e squats and deadlifts with this condition?

Hi Ju! I'm so glad my videos have been helpful! I think this blog post will give you some answers, and I definitely recommend signing up for my "Lift" series (which you can do via the instructions in the post): femfusionfitness.com/lift-pelvic-organ-support/
Great advice! Thank you very much for your help
Dr.

She is great. I ripped my lower abdomen. This helped.
Are laying down abdominal vacuums safe to do?
Hy Brie, thank you for your videos. I have a question- do you run again?
I was runing before pregnency, but I laber 1 month ago and got uterus prolaps😔 am I going to run ever again?
Really helpful.. Thank you very much.. Well explained.. God bless you more..
Thank YOU!
I have a rectocele and i was wondering if water aerobics are okay. There are some jumping jacks and a couple other jumping exercises.
Please listen to your body and talk to your local pelvic floor PT for individualized guidance. ~Vibrant Support
Hi Dr.
I use all these principles and protocols with my elderly folks. Well done, young lady.
Wonderful! Glad you're on board. Thanks for your support!
Do you have a video or images of a pelvic floor/prolapse friendly exercise routine. I am not new to workouts but have to change my program due to prolapsed bladder lift. I have been cleared to exercise but need a program that I can follow a couple of times a week at the gym. Thank you.
Carolyn. I am dealing with a stage 2-3 prolapse. Going to have surgery. Are you back to a normal lifestyle ?
Stay tuned...
i am a male of 41 years old, i have issues with urination and defecation, my doc told me it is chronic non bacterial prostatitis and bladder neck obstruction , should this routine help or should i resort to the surgery option? i have been dealing with this since june 2017 and my life is like hell
will this end over a time or the bladder neck obstruction adds more troubles to my pelvic muscles? thanks in advance
Hi....I'm a new subscriber. Will going up and down stairs make my prolapse worse or is it ok to do this? Thank you for all your help!!
It should be fine as long as you exhale with exertion (i.e. exhale as you go up the steps) and keep your posture tall (try not to slouch or lean forward). All my best!
@@vibrantpelvichealth Thank you so much!!
I have a total gym. Is it safe to use with a prolapse?
I would recommend working one-on-one with a pelvic floor PT for indvidualized guidance on breathing, posture, etc ~Leila
Can we do these exercises for retroverted uterus plz reply
What about a recumbent bike? Mine is indoor so no bumps. I have to exercise 3-4 hours per week for my fibromyalgia and cholesterol levels. Now I find out that I have a prolapsed uterus. My doctor says I’m at stage 2.
The only difficulty with recumbent bikes is that it can be easy to slouch. As long as you can keep your spine straight (and keep breathing), then give it a try and see how it feels for your body!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I have a physical job and your tips also apply to my work habits. ....soooo helpful :)
You're so welcome -- thanks for taking the time to watch and learn. It's great when a viewer can carry over the advice into ALL areas of life + work!

can this exercise be done during periods
Very good video. What about stationary bycicle? That's so far the only th ink can do. Thank you.
*The only thing I can do*
Just be sure to keep breathing (don't hold your breath) and be sure to keep good posture (no slouching while biking)... Other than those general guidelines, it's going to be totally individual -- monitor your condition and see how you feel!
I am 20 and i think i have prolapse.. does it effect in my relationship? Does exercise help in prolapse?? Or we have to see a doctor?
Hi Ashmeta Magar! You might enjoy my free "Lift" series. You can learn more about it and sign up here: femfusionfitness.com/lift-pelvic-organ-support/ After signing up, you'll receive 1 email per week for 5 weeks. Each weekly email will link you to the instructional video for that week, and a handout with a summary of the exercises and lifestyle tips (so that you don't have to re-watch the video every day).
Ashmeta Magar yes it does it effect me tremendously
Yes, see a doctor. If you have it or not...proper physical therapy is useful.
🙏this is amazing love you, you make everything possible ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much
Just diagnosed. How are you now??
Mam is it safe mor men with rectal Prolapse to do push ups?
Is it possible to recover from level3-4 bladder prolapse?
Every BODY is different. Some people have managed reducing symptom bother as well as the grade of their prolapse. ~ Leila
Very helpful, thanks.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Can you have a hypertonic floor with a prolapse ? Thats the boat I am in and it's frustrating . I go to pelvic floor therapy but she advises me to not do kegals until my muscle spasms are resolved . 🥺🥺🥺🥺

hi, what about horseback riding?? good or bad?? serious riding, not just walking ..
Thank you so much for this!!!
very well explained. thank you.
Really needing to rebound for lymphatic drainage. Would you recommend rebounding on mini trampoline during pelvic prolapse?
I’m guessing her advice at 5minutes plus, where you’re engaging the relevant muscles as you rebound might be useful x
Thank you for your help!!❤
Thank you-Just what I needed!😊
I'm so glad!
Are doing stairs at a brisk (walking pace) safe for prolapse?
Are squats typically safe? I have heard mixed things about squatting with a 0 grade prolapse.
Hi Bri, what is your advice on leg lowers and reverse crunches?
Do You have any videos or info wrt swimming and aqua fit for pelvic prolapse?
I don't, I'm sorry about that!
What about wearing a waist trainer is that harmful or helpful?
If it pinches around your middle, then it could be harmful. I suggest watching this video: ua-cam.com/video/OkMihuQlMZ4/v-deo.html
Please address, if you can, prolapse and aerial arts, specifically pole fitness and silks
I'll add that to my list of questions!
Thank You💖

Can we walk for this position
Is bicycling ok? My bike is a more upright bike so I'm not leaning over much.
Laurie West I believe that recumbent biking is not good, but I love regular biking and often lean a bit forward. It’s amazing how with prolapse we have to totally rethink our way of exercising! Wishing you hope on this journey!
Thanks, just subscribed!
Awesome! See you again soon :)
What about side olanks
Side planks? It depends on how you do them. It is important to maintain good posture. A pelvic floor PT can help you check your alignment during the move, and potentially suggest some modifications --if needed.

Hi. I had my pelvic repair surgery for prolapse on 22nd of July 2018. Now I want to know the dos and don't after this surgery. When can I start being normal. When can I start exercising? Can I do aerobics? It has things like jumping, crunches, squat, plank, touching ur toes while standing, kickboxing etc.what about gym machines like treadmill, cycle
When can I start sex life. I'm really scared about it
How much weight can I lift in doing housework
I wish you a smooth recovery, Ashoo Khan! You'll have to speak directly with your surgeon about his or her protocol for the type of surgery you just underwent. Good luck!
You should talk to your surgeon.
How was the recovery from the surgery and how you feel now ,I am also planning to have my surgery soon so any information will be helpful
Good job.

Hi Dr. Bri
Is it ok to do these exercises if you don't have a prolapse?
Yes! But it's always important --- prolapse or not --- to check in with your body and see how you're feeling, how your body is responding (etc.) and adjust from there.
