@@tariq6319 they produced half of Yeezus. A handful of tracks for lil uzi, shy girl, Nikki Minaj and FKA Twigs. They are on my list because, more than any other producer, whenever I see a track produced by them on an artist project, I know it’s going to be experimental and new.
I agree with the Dj Muggs comment. The album he did with Roc Marciano is so slept on. Btw I’m here from watching the Marciology review. I like what you do here.
AVAA and I mean that, I found this channel through the recent beef as so many probably did but wow this is amazing. Thank you so much for these videos, it’s so refreshing to see someone talk about this artform that I love in this way.
AVAA: Great vid and pics! One quibble about Alchemist's ceiling. I'm not sure anyone on this list has made a better beat than Johnny P's Caddy in the past few years (or at the very least it's a high ceiling to match). That is a true classic beat IMO, hits so hard on so many registers.
AVAA. James Blake deserves a mention, I know he's been around for over a decade but I still get more excited to hear his production than anyone else other than maybe Peggy. He had some credits on Erick the Architect's album that just came out, it seems to be getting surprisingly little critical attention but Parkour and 2-3 Zone are easily my favourite produced tracks so far this year. And War Ready by Vince Staples was produced by Blake and is a contender for best production of the 2010s for me
AVAA but Right now? Right now Right now? Only counting people currently dropping Alchemist, Hit Boy, Conductor, Kaytranada, Pharrell. But if Flying Lotus or Knxwledge drop they back on the list. Not to mention the fact that the production on my upcoming album is completely unique to my own sound and absolutely slaps with many intricate interesting melodies abd textures, it will be one of the best produced albums of '24.
AVAA prof, I'm not surprised at your choices. They're all great, and were definitely expected. I wonder if you will review Erick the Architect? He just released a fantastic album that I would love to hear your thoughts on
AVAA. First time watcher. Cool list. You should check out the albums Roc Marci produced since 2020. I'm sure he would have made this list if you did. Delgado with Flee Lord is his magnum opus production wise.
AVAA. I love your baseball talk, I love he fact that you can literally get paid for a game where you stand around and do nothing. Also, the greatest producer tag is WhoTheHellIsCarlo, which is just hank hill saying "WHO THE HELL IS CARLO?"
AVAA- love from North wales, glad to see you still going since watching first 3 years ago roughly, do you plan on reviewing on Moor Mothers New album? she’s incredible and had infact done a collab album with billy woods in the past :)
AVAA! I had no clue Skye was gonna drop all this fantasy baseball knowledge on us & I’m so here for it. I’d play in a Prof Skye fantasy baseball league 👀 😅haha
avaa 1.Peggy 2.ELUCID 3.Kenny Segal 4.Blockhead 5.Slauson Malone - I would love to include William Hutson and Jonathan Snipesfrom from clipping. I cannot wait for their next work but it has been a while since they've put music out. Also I cannot understand the love for Alchemist, I hate his beats with a passion, I find them so boring that I feel he ruins albums/artists for me.
AVAA! re pi'erre bourne, he just has criminally bad taste when it comes to the rappers he chooses to work with. i also suspect that his very hi-fi styling is such a clash with what carti wanted for wlr that it went against one of his core principles, which is that all his work is consummately, conventionally professional in terms of mixing/mastering. also totally agreed on muggs being the most underrated producer going; everyone seems to have forgotten his work with cypress hill and some of the b-sides he's done with armand hammer are absolutely amazing! my top 5 off the top of my head, in no particular order (coward's caveat lol): 5. preservation (best crate-digger in the game) 4. yeat (astonishing showcase as both rapper and producer) 3. alc (come on lol) 2. lucian (a great chaos was too good to ignore) 1. kenny segal (if he can make doves, then i can only imagine his ceiling to use ur terminology lol)
Had to come back to this comment and let you guys know that Pharrell produced sweet honey bucking from Beyoncé Cowboy Carter, and the production of bucking part is literally my fav of the entire album. I stand by my list
now that i finished the video i have to add that i think your love of Kanye clouds your judgement, imo Peggy doesn’t belong anywhere higher than 5 on a list like this.
Wendigo and filthy are the best of the future, and Peggy ofc. No offense to legends like metro and alc but their era was in the 2010’s. It’s time to move on to newer sounds. Also whoever dj Smokey buys his beats from 💀
very medieval peasant look you got going on there, or maybe a knight in his garderobe clothing...

For me:
5. Metro
4. Kenny Segal
3. Alc
2. Conductor
1. JPEG
AVAA ❤
Fire ahh list. Kenny Segal deserves to be listed on GOAT lists with JPEG and Alc and Conductor imo
AVAA - Honorable mention to my guy Parker Corey(Injury Reserve). He's never on these lists, but he puts in work.
...Tracy Morgan not Chris Tucker
I really enjoyed your content lately cause of the dedication and research you put into these videos. Shoutouts from Germany, AVAA.
AVAA! My top five are: Alc, Conductor, Whitearmor, Nick Craven and Arca
Is Arca a rap producer?
@@tariq6319 she raps over her beats sometimes so i count it

Avaa, keep up the great work slime! That’s a term of endearment where I’m from slatt
I know tyler the creator hasn't been very active recently but definitely deserves a spot. Great list nevertheless.

Have you listened to the Gray Matter x Domo Genesis album Prof? All the beats on that album are excellent, very reminiscent of Madlib.
