Out of all the acts in this level, I found act 2 to be the hardest. It’s basically a harder and longer version of act 1, with more bottomless pits, quick reactions, and careful platforming. Some of the best music in the game though
Cream was my favorite character to play these games with as a kid...In addition to being super strong (Flying + Chao charging at ennemies = OP)...she's an absolute cutie. xD
Seeing you leave that chao behind in the first act made me cringe.....I used to hunt those little things non stop. So many hours I put into this game just trying to find all the Chao without internet x_x
I remember this stage giving me a bit of a rough time actually. Especially with boulders falling on outta nowhere and the part where the platform could crush you. Now if i go and play it on a emulator i can blame it on touch screens
This zone reminds me of Egg Utopia from Sonic Advance 2. Indoors:lights in where windows are needed,moving ceiling conveyer belts. Outdoors:Earth is at the very bottom of the screen,moving stars are almost all over the screen.
Talking serious now, this is easily one of the BEST final levels in any Sonic game (and, maybe, in history)! Not because of it's level design (tbh, it sucks), but because of the unique atmosphere this stage has: In the game history, the world was split in seven pieces, and Angel Island became the Dr. Robotnik's main base. His main base is not a flying fortress in space anymore, but is the home of one of the protagonists, Knuckles. Angel Island is now in chaos, and it's fate is in the hands of Sonic and his friends.
I remember getting stuck on Act 2 more than Act 3. I probably tried playing with Sonic as the lead, which must be really hard. I did not understand characters like Cream and Amy until I already beat the Chaos Altar boss.
Hands down act one chaos angel's music is the bass because it shows the Dyer's the dire situation it makes you wanna rush and hurry up because you know or feel like you're under a time limit that you got to stop eggman from stop eggman from destroying the world this song screams like this is going to be the end of the world but you have a slight chance of saving it but you gotta hurry up kind of feel to it. Also techno bass act two's music music is great it gives off the vibe of yeah technology is awsome but something sinister is happening
It's always fun to see which routes people take. There are so many, hehe. It looks like we used the same ROM. I had to toggle a few sprite layers to get rid of those spikes on the boss result screen.
Act 3 almost made me rage quit. Standing on a moving platform feels out of place compared to the other levels, the fact that you could fall down the pit when you got hit by anyrhing makes it even worse. This level felt bland because you cant explore the levels other than waiting on the platform. The second section where you have to avoid getting crushed isnt good either
