remember playing this on my blue gameboy advance as a kid, good times. this game and sonic battle do the series justice with storytelling. they dont make storys like these anymore 😴💙.
Let's be Honest, this is one of the Best "Bad Endings" ever, no consequence at all, in Sonic 3 and Knuckles if you fail to catch all the emerslds, Eggman Flies with the Master Emerald, Angel Islands falls, and he will probally use it for more evil porpouses, Sonic failed. In this game, horever, Eggman is defeat and fails in his plans, they are chilling and was a sucessful mission.
It is definitely not the best. It is one of those endings where you might not notice you missed something (like Kirby 64). But the hint to this being a bit sad is Sonic Battle, which has one of the darkest endings of any game.
Also to be fair there was official promotional artwork with Knuckles gliding with Cream on his back. I think you can view it in the galleries on Sonic Mega Collection Plus.
So apparently can the Master Emerald fix a split aparte world in minutes if not seconds. So why wasn't knuckles the first one of sonic's list of needs to see in sonic unleashed there could have shorten the game by a lot.
