Daw thank you! We really loved Argentina and cannot wait to return. What a lovely country. People at home always ask us what our favorite country is and Argentina is always one of our top ones 🥰
Mate is a traditional drink from Argentina, we drink yerba produced in our country and we have a thousand varieties of brands, there are also herbs that have a fine grind and with fewer sticks, others with a coarse grind and with more sticks, there are herbs, thousands of varieties but the most expensive and tastiest ones are sold in dietetics not in supermarkets, but countries like Paraguay, southern Brazil and northern Argentina (Corrientes and Misiones) produce their own yerba, in Uruguay they also consume yerba but it is from Brazil since they do not They have land and climate suitable for cultivation. Algajor is a sweet from Argentina and if I remember correctly, a Frenchman created it in a sweet shop in Buenos Aires. We have a thousand varieties and each province has its own style. Dulce de leche is consumed from the north to the south of our country and I believe that in other countries too but not as much as here and with different names
Thank you so much!! 🤗🥰 Mate was very bitter for us but we’ve heard by adding sugar it can get better. Can’t wait to come back and eat more Argentinian food!!
I always like to watch videos of travelers visiting my country, and that they enjoy it as much as we do. There are so many cities and landscapes left to visit! I hope you return soon. Enjoy!
Tango is a dance that only originated in the poor Buenos Aires neighborhoods of Buenos Aires Argentina such as Caminito, San Telmo, and was danced among men. The first tango was sung by an Afro-Argentinean, but its greatest exponent was the Frenchman Carlos Gardel, but he loved it so much. our beautiful Buenos Aires and he has dedicated many tangos to the city, his origin was never well known but many claim that he was French and he also made a false identification so as not to go to war for France, he called himself "El morocho del abasto" " or the "zorzal criollo", morocho is a poreño term from Buenos Aires that is why a tango says "city of porteña that saw me born" is a saying because he felt porteño. im really glad you went down to Ushuaia and Estancia Harberton, i was there last April and im reading Thomas Bridges book now, amazing place in my lovely country. Actually im going to the US next December so recommendations are welcomed! im going to washington, ny and orlando.. but im staying 20 days more and not sure if to do east or west coast.
Maybe I’ll check that book out!! And that’s amazing. Ushuaia was fantastic. The U.S. is awesome! Are you going to Washington state or the capital? Highly recommend visiting some natural wonders like the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, or Yellowstone! Have a safe trip! 🥰
For some reason this year there was a bad outbreak of mosquitoes. Everyone got teed off at the city government for not fumigating preventively. I've lived her over 24 years and I have never had mosquitoes infestation like this year.
They had bad luck with the mosquitoes, which was unusual for us as well, there had never been so many, what is happening is very strange. There are usually mosquitoes in summer, but never even remotely so many. You can walk around in the summer without being bothered, but this time it was an invasion.
