You just happened to go at a year when the mosquitoes were WAY more than ever. I lived there for 3 years, and never got bit once from mosquitoes, nor were they even a problem at all. Buenos Aires usually doesn't have that many at all. Dengue is also a very new thing, it came down from Brazil. But since that year the Mosquito situation was out of control, there were some Dengue cases, but usually it's up North, and in VERY poor and unclean areas.

No, there are not more people of Italian than Spaniard descent in the country, although the joke was that half of the last names in the phone book in Bs. As. were Italian. Argentina was one of the ten wealthiest nations in the world until WWII. During the same era that we in the U.S. received millions of immigrants from Europe, so did Argentina. Every six years they doubled their population. Southern Italians were the #1 group, followed from people from Galicia (Spain), Russia, Poland, Ireland, Wales (the Welsh mostly went to Patagonia), and during the Russian pogroms in the late 19th century, Jewish people. Buenos Aires is called the Paris of the South, because in the Gilded Age era, they hired architects and landscapers to redesign the city. So it's not coincidental that the older buildings resemble the ones in Paris.
Hey guys, I would recommend you do more research and get better informed about the city you're visiting before posting something. You missed so much valuable information about the the culture, food, places, history, etc.
In Argentina there's also the other large "European" metropolis of the continent (along with Buenos Aires and Montevideo), it's the second most important city in the country: Rosario: ua-cam.com/video/BifGHJCfv2w/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/wrhiuytbXyQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/zsE6JBjn4ME/v-deo.html and although Argentina is very varied, most of the country continues having an "European" appearance, although different from Buenos Aires and Rosario, they r "alpine" cities (Swiaa/Austrian styles) in the south of the country, such as San Martin de los Andes (in my opinion : the most beautiful in Patagonia) ua-cam.com/video/yG5mT7TX9Gw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/mxiRNOW5mUs/v-deo.html

Be very careful with mosquitoes, about 15 years ago a mosquito from tropical areas began to appear that is a carrier of denque, this mosquito is adapting more and more to colder climates and 20% can survive the winter in central Argentina to appear again in spring when temperatures exceed 15 degrees.
What you caught witness of with the "Patricios" was a guards change, just like the unknown soldier's tomb with the Marines, but here is on the resting place of one of our leaders who helped free the country from the Spanish Crown in the 1800's. José de San Martín (1778-1850).
Very nice video guys... obviously there are many places left for you to visit and explore. Buenos Aires as a capital has countless historical, cultural and iconic sites to show the world. And yes, regarding the exchange rate or prices in dollars versus our national peso, it is very convenient for foreigners and expensive for our currency, but well that is a political as well as economic issue. I liked the way you describe each step you take through the city. Greetings!!
Hi guys, amazing video! Be careful with the mosquitoes; most of them carry DENGUE. Don't let them bite or sting you. Speaking of pizza, you have to try Güerrín's pizza or another classic pizzeria on Corrientes Avenue. Enjoy!
Bienvenidos a mi país.
As an argentinian, this was very amusing to watch. Also watch out for dengue and you gotta try our icecream and dulce de leche. also street food is great if you got the right places :DDDDD
11:34 I noticed you used the official conversion of USD in ARS, but because of taxes the real value is different. 5870 pesos would be less than 6 dollars actually. As for that alfajor (mini-cake), it's definitely not 15 pesos, i wish it was tho :')
I hope U had enjoy Argentina so much as I enjoyed your video. A few things: 1. The argentinian president don't lives in La Casa Rosada, he only works there. The president residence is La Quinta de Olivos. 2. Mafalda hates the soup, thats why she said that. 3. El Ateneo was originally a theatre, the Grand Splendid. When it closed it was reoppened as a bookstore. Sorry for my english, I know it is not so good.
some context on the world is a soup shirt, mafalda in the comics dislikes soups a lot, the author comes from a generation of people that always had soup before the main meal and most kids dislike soup also the pink house is where the president works, he does not live there, the presidential residence is the quinta de Olivos
Ah... y tenemos OFF también...
Amazing video!!! Just one correction: The presidente does NOT live in Casa Rosada. They live in "La Quinta de Olivos", another place. La Casa Rosada is just their working place.
The tango draws inspiration from both African and European cultures. Tango was influenced by Cuba’s habanera dance, Argentinia’s milonga and the traditional candombe dances of Argentina’s African population.
That’s so interesting! Thank you so much for sharing. We love learning about the tango and enjoyed being in Buenos Aires and just seeing it around! So cool 🥰
Hey Guys. I always like tourist doing reviews about my beloved city of Buenos Aires, Let me do some corrections to your video. The Pink House is not where the president lives but where he works. This summer was the first time that I could see so much mosquitos here. It was a huge surprising thing for us too. Hope it was just for the last summer. Mafalda is SUPER POPULAR in many other countries including Canada, France, Brazil, Spain, England, Sweden and the whole latin america. Hope you have more content on the city.

Buenos Aires is called the Paris of the South, because in the Gilded Age era, they hired architects and landscapers to redesign the city. So it's not coincidental that the older buildings resemble the ones in Paris.
Oh really?! Maybe the source we found is wrong then. Super cool how many immigrants are in Argentina!
Have Rapanui Icea cream!!! Best ice cream in the world for me!!!!!!! Go to Recoleta.
We will try it next time! 🥰 we’ve heard great things about Rapa Nui ice cream

Argentinians are really nice and sweet! And Argentina itself is a beautiful country.
Greetings from La Pampa, Argentina
They are very very nice and sweet! We love Argentinian people 🤗🥰
Hey guys, I would recommend you do more research and get better informed about the city you're visiting before posting something. You missed so much valuable information about the the culture, food, places, history, etc.
Thank you! We will definitely try to be better in the future 🥰
In Argentina there's also the other large "European" metropolis of the continent (along with Buenos Aires and Montevideo), it's the second most important city in the country: Rosario:

ua-cam.com/video/wrhiuytbXyQ/v-deo.html

and although Argentina is very varied, most of the country continues having an "European" appearance, although different from Buenos Aires and Rosario, they r "alpine" cities (Swiaa/Austrian styles) in the south of the country, such as San Martin de los Andes (in my opinion : the most beautiful in Patagonia)

We’ll have to visit rosario 👍🥰
0:21 you mentioned TANGO and you showed a couple dancing FLAMENCO, a Spanish traditional dance. Is it THAT DIFFICULT to Google "tango dancers"??? 🤦
Yes, that was not tango. That was a couple dancing flamenco. 🙄
Our mistake!! We are sorry. We did look up tango but it had a flamenco tag so when we searched it the other came up… and as we are gringos we do not know the difference haha. Will fix it next time!
Great video! Hope that you're enjoying Argentina! We wait for you in Argentina Polo Day, a MUST-DO if you come to Buenos Aires! 🙌❤

We will be careful thank you!! 🥰
Scary! We will be careful thank you so much 🥰❤️
The pink house is not where the president of Argentina lives. He lives in la quinta de Olivos.
Yes! Thank you! We fixed this in the full Argentina documentary 🥰
Bienvenidos a Argentina! 🇦🇷
I lived there for years, the mosquitoes weren´t so bad back then.
That’s what we’ve heard. They are worse this year for some reason. Hope you are good 🥰
I'm with Reyka not eating and walking on the street.
Haha but it’s so hard to wait… lol 😂
Super interesting! Yeah we correct that in the full documentary coming out 🥰
What you caught witness of with the "Patricios" was a guards change, just like the unknown soldier's tomb with the Marines, but here is on the resting place of one of our leaders who helped free the country from the Spanish Crown in the 1800's. José de San Martín (1778-1850).
Super cool! We were curious about that
They aren't Patricios. They are Granaderos of San Martín's Regiment.
The Patricios were from Cornelio Saavedra's Regiment.

Greetings!!
Thank you so much!! 🥰 really appreciate you!! Can’t wait to come back to buenos aires

Hi guys, amazing video! Be careful with the mosquitoes; most of them carry DENGUE. Don't let them bite or sting you. Speaking of pizza, you have to try Güerrín's pizza or another classic pizzeria on Corrientes Avenue. Enjoy!
most of them DONT carry dengue, no need to exaggerate there bro
Thank you for the recommendation! And yeah luckily made it out with contracting dengue, surprising for how many mosquitos bit us hahahah
the mosquito situation is not a commund thing, usually is not that bad.
That’s good to hear? Well hopefully it returns to normal soon. Such a nuisance. We still LOVE Argentina though 🥰😜
Bienvenidos!!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
Gracias🥰🥰🥰🥰
Casa Rosada is the place where the president work, and Quinta de Olivos is the president's house.
Thank you!!
Has ido a todos?
so unlucky for you to come here just as the mosquitoes invasión. Normally we have mosquitoes, but not that much.
Yeah unlucky but not enough to change our opinion on the country. Argentina is amazing 🥰
Bienvenidos a mi país.
We will try guerrin and will use insect repellent for sure! 🥰
@@WyattandReyka yes or yes, jajajaj🤣😂

Super interesting to learn more about the history of Buenos Aires design. Thank you 🥰😘
As an argentinian, this was very amusing to watch.

Oops!! An honest mistake our friend. Thanks for watching and helping us fix that 🥰
@@WyattandReyka np, I hope you enjoyed Buenos Aires City 😉
We looooved Buenos Aires!! So much fun
I hope U had enjoy Argentina so much as I enjoyed your video.
A few things:
Your English is great!! Thank you so much for watching and sharing some corrections! 🥰
some context on the world is a soup shirt, mafalda in the comics dislikes soups a lot, the author comes from a generation of people that always had soup before the main meal and most kids dislike soup
also the pink house is where the president works, he does not live there, the presidential residence is the quinta de Olivos
Ahhhh okay, hahahaha. That made literally no sense to us, thanks for the help there

The tango draws inspiration from both African and European cultures. Tango was influenced by Cuba’s habanera dance, Argentinia’s milonga and the traditional candombe dances of Argentina’s African population.

Hey Guys. I always like tourist doing reviews about my beloved city of Buenos Aires,
Let me do some corrections to your video.
