The Warning's concert at Liceo was a landmark in their career. To demonstrate their instrumental abilities to Berklee for admission, each girl chose a song showcasing a particular instrument. Ale chose Hysteria, Pau played Everlong & Dany went for Crazy Train. Rest of the concert was their originals & Sweet Child of Mine demonstrating their performance as a band. Berklee gave age waivers to Ale (10) & Pau (13) for a course meant for 14+ students. This concert also shows the importance of a team behind a band. Here Dany's guitar teacher, Ale's bass teacher & overall mentor of the girls, mom & dad were all present providing support as well as recording details that were integrated with the final video.
Muse had told the girls in Mexico that they have watched all their covers. Probably started keeping tabs on their progress from this time. And this year not only have DPA opened 9 shows for their idols but Dany also got a customized Manson guitar from Matt Bellamy. What a journey so far!!!

For now, their support of Muse for concerts is completed. They did 4 shows in Mexico back in January and 5 shows in Europe (UK and France) during late May thru June). If you notice Ale alternates playing with a pick and finger-style on Resistance. She was more comfortable playing finger-style and still prefers it to this day, though she does the same thing on Error and plays Z with a pick. Liceo is the school they attended in Monterrey. So they are performing in front of their friends and classmates. No pressure at all. LOL

During Hysteria, Ale went overhand to show off a little. She was more than capable of reaching even on her teachers 6-string. The Warning - Ale y su maestro Pablo (bajista de Los Claxons) at 04:55
However, she didn't perform with a full size bass until she got her first Spector bass at 13 from Thomas Illgen. Thomas is the one that gave Ale her first two Spector basses.

The fan who gifted Ale two full-scale Spector bases was Thomas Illgen, a bass player from Germany and a big fan and Patreon of The Warning. Hysteria was shot at the outdoor event facility of the girls' private school, Liceo de Monterrey Redwood, at 7:30 am on the last day of school (June 2015). Although parents were invited the stage crowd was mostly their classmates. IIRC it was staged so the girls could submit videos to the Berklee School of Music in Boston as proof that Ale and Pau were capable enough to attend later that summer even though they were underage (15yo minimum). Video was shot by TyP&Art, a local media/news company, and sound was recorded by Victoria Records. I believe both companies donated their services as part of the band's GoFundMe campaign to attend Berklee.

And this was before she got comfortable playing with a pick.during the recording of Mayday. And Ale going "over hand " is for show, not because she couldn't reach the strings as she shows later on in the song. this was recorded at their school...... in front of their class mates so, no pressure there!

As a bassist of nearly 50 years please let me assure you and all other doubters that switching between overhand fretting and underhand fretting has absolutely nothing to do with ease of reaching the frets. It is done to exhibit the fretting prowess of the bassist. If it was done due to hand or finger size it would be much easier to drop the thumb under the neck and shift the arm, it is much harder to play over the neck and shift your minds view of the strings and frets. I’ve taught young people to play and would never suggest to someone with small hands to go over the top for better reach, though I do occasionally slip my thumb over the top to catch the “E”, especially when doing octaves between the “E” and “D”. Ale is an absolutely awesome bassist.

A couple of small corrections. This is misunderstood by many, but they never uploaded the covers on UA-cam for attention, they just needed an easy way to share their performances with their family & friends and uploading to UA-cam and sharing the link was the easiest way; the channel was on their father's personal account and was not even called The Warning then. Also, I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, Ale playing over the neck was just for show, as there is a video of them rehearsing this song and Ale plays everything under the neck in that one.

So, you're familiar with a band called Sabaton! Who isn't?! I love their music, I'm not the biggest fan of Joakim though. His voice is good and suits Sabaton, but he's not even the best vocalist in the band. Their lead guitarist is called Tommy Johansson, and his voice is incredible. He's done a lot of solo videos of cover songs which are excellent, try Alone by Heart, The Show Must Go On by Queen, or Seperate Ways by Journey. His cover of Africa by Toto is EPIC...He's done dozens of excellent covers though. He also is the lead vocalist in his own band called Majestica. They are awesome, and Tommy not only has one of the best voices right now in metal, but one of the best voices, ever. Try Above the Sky, or Metal United, to start off with. 🤘🤘

Pronunciation: (emphasis on 1st syllable) OH - too (say quickly) - ken (but more accurately 'kyen', where the k and y are pronounced together).
Curious, do you prefer to watch without subs, since most of their videos include English subs. I know some prefer to focus on sound and music upon first listen.
Anyway, appreciate that you take the time to do the biography research and then present it. Wish more reviewers did that instead of the insincere ask of viewers to give them the info in the comments. Guess they've never heard of Google!

Thanks for the pronunciation, I slapped myself because I knew that, but DaneBramage brain kicks in and I roll with it, LOL. I prefer without subs myself, but a lot of my views like the subs so I make them for each of the video so it can be left at their discretion. Thanks for the comments, I try to give credit to the artist as it is them who provides the content for my own channel. Plus, I want to know more, that's why they do this!

Never going to happen. Nothing against manbuns, LOL. I just cant stand to grow my hair our longer than an inch on the sides. Curious though, why?

No. Ale was showboating. She “went over the top” strictly for showmanship and no other reason. How else could she have completed 3 years of jazz bass lessons, often using a 6-string.

Don't be. We all find inspiration in different places, but now that you are aware.....go check them out!

You're just too giggly for no apparent reason. It reminds me of Jimmy Fallon.
