  • Allison sits down with the three incredibly talented sisters who comprise the band, The Warning, from Monterrey, Mexico. They have been playing since they were old enough to hold instruments, and have already played alongside bands like Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses. They are currently on their North American tour this month and will be opening for Muse in Europe this summer. They talk all about their relentless drive and work ethic, how they got their first break, what it’s like to open for their idols, and the secret weapon of their sibling magic.

@@krash66 hello Tom, yes they gonna headlining and play in sold out arenas, which couldn’t happen to more deserving girls. “ sorry young ladies “ but we have to mention their manager Mr Rudy’s tireless “ kicked out trough the door and climbing back trough the window “ style work. The girls deserve all the attention, which to be honest, it wasn’t the way in their US tour. Small venues with electrical problems, and they never did complain about at all. In Canada, the venues were bigger and almost all were sold out, but how the Canadians treated them made my feel like crying. Not the sad kind of crying but the happy one. And soon, they gonna make their name as a household name all over the world. This coming tour is not a really world tour yet, but they are itching to go back to Argentina again, and if I could bet some money, that they would fill up Rio del Sol, I would bet anything I have on that. It’s in their destiny to become great, and no one would deserve it more than this down to earth and level headed and braking the false conceptions about Mexico. Viva Mexico!!

@@dabhidhm4093 Correct at the very least. I am old enough to measure them against Rock musics' original GOATS, including several members of the 27 Club, and a certain band with statues in Liverpool. TW stands up well to that comparison musically, and Pau's lyrics are beyond any except the very greatest. Just Imagine a songwriter who could see a need In My Life, and then build a Bridge Over Troubled Water, and then obliterate the drum kit like Keith Moon.

My wife suddenly passed away Feb. 11, 2020 from a rare heart condition. I was literally grieving myself to death. I didn't care for life any more.
About 3 weeks later I was trying to listen to youtube videos. YT made a suggestion of The Warning covering G&R sweet child. I always liked that song so I gave it a listen. Watching them and especially Ale on the bass was so interesting. The next day I gave it a listen to again and then I was hooked. I now listen to them every day all day.

Muse inviting The Warning to do the UK part of their European Tour minds me of Def Leppard inviting them to finish Def Leppard's Mexico tour in 2017. Def Leppard had TW open for them in Mexico city the first night of their 3 show tour (Mexico City, Guadalajara, then The Mother Of All Festival in Monterrey, which TW was already committed to). TW did the first show and The Guadalajara show was, I think, two days after counting a travel day. TW was not originally supposed to be at the Guadalajara show. Def Leppard was so impressed by TW that after the first show, they asked TW to join them in Guadalajara. TW, always willing to take any opportunity, said yes. There was a scramble to get clothes, food, and equipment, but pulled it off. The played the Guadalajara show with an even more impressed Def Leppard watch from the side of the stage, which is very rare for the main band to do. Then TW nearly gets hospitalized after their opening for Mother of All, giving their all playing in extreme heat.
Joe Elliot of Def Leppard was so impressed that he talked about The Warning in his radio show.
DPA really made some believers and great friends in those few days.

Allison, not sure if you realize how The Warning has revived OG rockers who had simply given up on any modern music. Most numerous are 80's fans, but also 70's fans of the groups the ladies watched with their parents, like Queen and Pink Floyd. Yes, even fans of that well-known band from Liverpool. I was thinking about it too, in Spain it was like a taboo to try to sing rock in spanish until Tequila (an hispano-argentinian beatles-like group from the late 70s) came and did it, Héroes are one of the few that actually made it work, and I'm confident now that they will release an album fully in spanish and it will be huge

My favourite: In June 2023 The Warning became the 1st Mexican / Latin American rock band in 20 years to be invited to the prestigious German fests, Rock Am Ring & Rock Im Park. Allison - They brought up a few things in the interview that Ale has done at a young age, but there is much more to consider. Ale had recorded three full length albums of original songs by age 15. She (along with her sisters, of course) opened two shows with Def Leppard at 12 years old, She opened two shows for The Killers at 13. She opened stadium shows for Foo Fighters and Guns 'N Roses at 17. She toured four shows with Muse and more to come this summer at 18. She has been a Spector Bass featured artist since she was 14 and plays a custom 5 string that Spector delivered to her when they were at the studio recording their last album. Quite a resume for teenaged kid! And she's the quiet one.

She's the one who allegedly told some nameless record executive that they'd rather play what they like for 10 people than what someone else wants for 10,000, and there are other things I've seen in interviews and documentaries where she comes across very hard-nosed and focused on more than the music. Not coldly so, but definitely of the form "nobody's going to take advantage of us". I could easily see her being an entrepreneur in some creative industry.

This is a different format than "some random local radio personality, where we give canned answers to questions we've been asked a million times". It was more free-flowing and open. I think Ale needs to feel comfortable, unpressured, and supported by her sisters to open up... plus, I really do get the impression that as she's getting older she's consciously working on being a tad more open and engaging. This is by far the BEST interview I have ever watched. What an amazing deep dive into these very gifted musicians. I only discovered The Warning just before Error was released. I had already been teased by a couple reaction videos (which I am generally not a fan of), but was so blown away by the talent. Once I glom onto a band I MUST learn all I can (I did this with Maiden in 89 and Metallica in 87) about them. Dany, Pau, and Ale are the most genuine rock stars out there. The humility (being VERY humble) and gratefulness to be where they are is amazing. During the lockdowns they went out of their way for the fans to entertain. They'd play video games (watch them play Mario Kart, and Little Nightmares 2), do a full set concert from The Cave, watch Pau bake, or their special days (Dany Day, Pau Day and Ale Day). Truly these girls are a gift to the music world, and I have said this many times before, they WILL be bigger than Metallica and Iron Maiden. And you have been warned!⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘

These ladies are so much fun and wise beyond their years. I'm with you Allison I took notes too especially Dany saying it shouldn't be a burden to take care of yourself. My connection to TW is that you feel how much they enjoy performing on stage it seems so natural to them. It feels like they're enjoying that you're having fun at their show which is rewarding for them. They're going to be huge over the coming years and they will make it because of the strength of their family and team behind them.

Allison, it’s easy to see just how much you love them and their work and are rooting for them. However, the way you interview is exceptional. Your questions are excellent, and you put your guest at ease. You’re an artist, interviewing artists and this interview was stellar. I hope you do another with them soon!

Lol and people say playing video games will get you no where. I was lucky to discover these girls just by luck on the weekly spotify list one day with the dong dust to dust. Sounded really good so i saved it to my favorites. The more i heard the more i got interested in the band. Was a surprise there was only 3 percormers and then surprised all three were sisters. Was fun to learn about them and hear more songs. All thanks to that random list so i always check it often.
