To think 5 years ago Froome was seen as the well rounded GC rider but Pogacar has shown his explosive power winning monuments and even being competitive on cobblestones with Mathieu Van der Poel! Not a particular fan of him but you have to be impressed by his talent!!

That stage 8 win was something else, it's like he turned on the nitro boost and rode off. I hope in 2023 he doesn't blow his energy so recklessly on Tour of Slovenia and comes to TDF with a vengeance.
True, but look at the moment of attack... In the back you can see that Vingregaard's crashed earlier that stage. His shoulder is exposed. Perhaps he could've followed that day if he hadn't crashed earlier in the race. He dropped him on Mont Ventoux later in the Tour.

i think vingegaard proved last year and this year that when it comes to being a GC rider he is on par w pogacar. This tour you can't say it was just pogi vs Jumbo Visma as pogacar had yates, majka etc.

In a race that starts on the same line within the time limit of 1 or 2 minutes, Pogi would of course win, but it is difficult to predict who will win in a race that takes more time than that.

Carapaz made no friends in stage 17 last year. Sat on their wheels the entire time, did no pulls, then attacked near the top. Was quite glad he finished third that day.

@@abcD-wf9yr yes we can speculate and you may havr a point. And the Bahrain hotel raid was strange. But my mentality is that without evidence i just try to enjoy cycling. Anyway its not unlikely that all the top riders take stuff that may or may not be uci legal, may be bending the rules, may be faking asthma. But at the end of the day i dont want to point fingers and if doping test aren't picking anything up then im not gonna speculate about who is clean or not, or (not normal)
@@abcD-wf9yr Apparently his stage 8 numbers weren't weird compared to great numbers of other great riders, it seems that the other riders just weren't of the same category (that day) and honestly except Roglic I didn't expected anyone else being able to threaten him even before the tour start. And honestly Tadej seems to thrive in difficult circumstances with rain and 'colder' temperatures, having it a bit more difficult during hot days, so stage 8 were perfect conditions for him.
He is over 90 (92 comes often), which is considered medically impossible. So, we all know what it means.
Pogacar will be the best in the history . change my mind .

@@kyanlow4898 how long until "evidence" came out about Lance doping? Not just conjecture.....evidence. He finally admitted to doping years after the fact. The reality is, this guy is doped to the gills....period. He puts in consistent, peloton busting attacks over and over and no one can seem to respond. Cycling didn't magically become dope free over the past several years. It's neat watching him attack. But, I ain't blind to the fact he's clearly running on premium fuel.
