Anybody who has raced knows how easy it can be to let your temper get the best of you, and how quickly it subsides once the tension and nerves settle afterwards.
I mostly just get pissed at myself, lol. I've had morons bump shoulders and get really squirrely and dangerous in the peloton, and I just do what I can to get away from them. At the amateur level I never understood guys getting so intense about something that's supposed to be fun.
Thankfully haven't noticed this much in road racing, mainly because I'm not that good and hang out the back of the pack most of the day and have fun trying the sprints, but summer last year I saw unbelievable tempers during a 24 hour endurance race, it was on a closed circuit so packs formed and were pushing up the back of slower groups, I joined these groups during the day because drafting was allowed for this race but at night I backed off and stayed out to the sides , you could be enjoying the night time peace just trying to stay mentally focused thinking about your breakfast in the morning and you could just hear two people absolutely tearing into each other across the track 😅
I just find it amazing that there aren't more serious injuries. I crashed going 28 mph and was out for 4 months and was in the hospital for 5 days. Who says that competitive cycling is not a contact sport. Nice clips Edit: Andy Hampsten and Greg LeMond back in the 80's TDF

So if the cyclist did not have enough room to break in time how is the motorbiker supposed to do this being even closer to the car in this moment? Furthermore, the cyclist runs up and overtakes the motorbiker from the right and behind. The worst place to be seen from the motorbikers perspective. So no, I would not blame the motorbiker. That incident was created further ahead and above all, I would rather blame the race organizers for leading the race through such an obstacle.

When one is a FULL bike's length in front, I would agree. However, allowing the rider in front to overlap the second rider or to cause him to break in order not to be overlapped, seems in no way justified. With that logic, the second rider might just as well give up on winning.
One time we were a group of 4 riders and this white dude driving a big truck tried to run us out of the road, and he made the mistake of stopping at the store. We went into the parking lot and into the store to confront barefooted and he was so apoplectic and sweet, knowing that he was up for a drumbeat. Never be aggressive towards drivers when cycling, not a good idea at all.
Perhaps the most egregious example is Andy Lakatosh intentionally crashing Jame Carney right after a keirin race at the Lehigh Valley velodrome, 2005. Lakatosh thought Carney impeded his teammate and therefore hit his bars intentionally to make him crash. He did while the race was being filmed and the video is available on UA-cam. He was suspended for 6 months. Track director Marty Nothstein and teammate Leigh Barczewski were also suspended due to their forceful defence of Lakatosh.
Regarding the Remco wheel change fit, someone clipped him in the echelons causing spokes to break or such, which is why he already was so on edge. Then the mechanic really fumbled things up. Normally losing a bit more time isn't that bad, but with echelons, you can lose a lot of time. The turner incident was Turner and Sheffield riding in the way to stall a break attempt, Turner even at some point cut Remco off when he was moving to the front. Obviously Remco should have played it differently, but it wasn't like his outburst came out of nowhere. Really should show/provide more context in a clip like this.
As a 30 year triathlete, I'd say, as a group, there is a far higher percentage of assholes who are cyclists than most other groups of people. Also, typically people who are assholes on their bikes are also assholes behind the wheels of their cars.

Me, when a car pulled out of a driveway of a restaurant ignoring me and forcing me to a full break, resulting in a frontwheel wheely at the driver side of the Kwantum team car driven by mr. Jan Raes himself. But seeing his shocked face made me laugh again. No harm done there. No even a scatch on both bike (a Motobecane diffusion) and the Volvo 245 GL.

An contributing factor of losing your temper during a race cycle competition is because you trained most of the time to participate, and when you fail or crash it’s simply logical to become angry and having the feeling that everything you trained for is wasted for a single mistake.

I once got stabbed with the blunt end of a toothpick, turns out it was just a cyclist trying to punch me.
I am amazed by cyclists😱. Like, you need yo be strong but not big, you need insane agility and balance. The lack of space in the lanes?? I would crash in less than 1 foot of the start line.

Yeah, Ive never really been a huge fan of Remco the person. Remco the cyclist on the other hand is something else. I just wish I could seperate the two, because I would love to cheer for this guy.

I heard a few podcasts with him: he’s not as superficial as he comes across, although one dimensional, he’s become more self aware of how he comes across. There’s just some growing up to do. (But I’m usually bored watching him racing)
