What kind of content do you make?
I make videos about science, doing a PhD and living with tinnitus and hearing loss, with a little bit of life thrown in too.

I’m Beth, I’m a northern first-gen and final year PhD student.
How old are you?
I’m 26, although I often forget how old I am. I feel about 20 sometimes…
Where are you from?
I’m from North Lincolnshire originally but I’m currently living in Leeds with my partner Zach and our cat Hendricks.
How long have you had tinnitus & hearing loss?
I’ve had tinnitus in my left ear for over 11 years and subsequent hearing loss for about 9 years.
What are you researching?
I’m studying platelet inhibitory cyclic-AMP signalling in the context of cardiovascular disease. I basically ask for blood donations all the time which makes me feel like a vampire.
