There are 27,000 universities in the world. This year Leeds University is ranked at 86 the QS international tables which brings it within the top one third of one percent of world universities.. It is of course a Russell group university. The top 100 employers in the UK (ie The High Flyers' report which is viewable online) ) publish an annual ranking of the 20 universities whose graduates they favour most. In the real world this counts for quite a lot more than the often baffling and sometimes downright bizarre national rankings that appear in publications like the Times and the Guardian newspapers (Lancaster and Loughborough universities were consistently placed as top ten universities in the Times national rankings???!!! You have got to be kidding!!!). For 2022 the High Flyers' list places Leeds at number 5 out of 120 UK universities for employment appeal. Cambridge is ranked at number 7 and Oxford is ranked at number 10. As the biggest centre outside London for banking and legal services Leeds is the wealthiest city in the north of England with upmarket shops, restaurants and cafes. The university has a very attractive and safe campus 10 minutes walk from the thriving city centre. On and around the campus there is some lovely architecture and a buzzing social scene. Of the UK's 120 universities Leeds falls consistently within the top three for the number of applicants. With an impressive international standing for the quality of its research and a first rate social scene Leeds will always be a serious choice for a great many academically gifted undergraduates and postgraduates. Leeds is also one of the most international universities in the world.
If you are wondering about different ways to work out, there is a place called the climbing lab. Its a little far out but its absolutely brilliant! I think its around £10 and you can pretty much stay there as long as you want. Not to mention its super fun! Check it out if that sounds like your type of thing! :)
I would personally suggest CitySide. But anyway any place within post code area of LS2 is pretty safe. Do not go to Sentinal Tower, too far away from the uni and supermarket.

Yeah, CitySide is a really nice place to live in, would recommend. One downside though, social and public study area is realtively small compared to others.
I just got my offer to study there . I am so excited and thank you ! How is the university life ? Can I make friends there? Are the people cool not cliquey? I studied in Australia before that is why I bit worried . It is my first time
@@whateverinbetween9444 hey it’s en-suite so means it’s shared kitchen, but u do have bathroom in ur home. If it’s studio then it includes everything, in the end depend on which type of room u choose.

I would rather recommend student accommodations like The/Sky Plaza, CitySide, White Rose View, IQ Altus, Symons House etc., or choose YPP properties like Live Oasis or Havana, if budget allows. Living in the mid-point between main campus and city centre would be of huge convenience for you, with huge supermarkets, shops and everything you need within walkable distance.
Yeah. Accounting and Finance is definitely a good one. I'm studying Financial Mathematics, I would recommend this one too since it is a course that integrates the study of mathematics with business finance, accounting, and economics, taught jointly by LUBS and the School of Mathematics, which is one of its kind across the UK. It enables me to get much stronger preparation from the mathematical side, but at the same time equips me with practical financial knowledge required in the job market.
honestly both are great but i’d say leeds is way better socially and it’s a campus based uni, but at the end of the day pick what you are comfortable with :))
