Quick note. If you mount your monitor board on the backside of the metal monitor use insulating tape like kapton so the pcb doesn't short out touching the metal.
Instead of drilling holes for the new joy sticks you can swap the metal plates and re use the same holes. It worked for me when I upgraded my joystick 🕹 😌
I used the same joystick holes.. only removed the on and off switch and volume control 😬

Hi, bedankt voor deze tutorial. Echter 1 vraagje, ik heb verlichte knoppen besteld. Hoe sluit ik deze aan? Aan de usb boards en dan aan usb 1 en 2 van de Pandora box?
Verlichting werkt via encoderboard die je in de set krijgt.
Normaal hebben de knoppen 2 kabels per stekker en de verlichting 3 stuks.
Dit komt omdat er dan extra kabel inzit voor de stroom toevoer voor de LED in de knop.
Dit kan je gebruiken via een Raspberry Pi or een Mini pc als je die in de arcade stopt.
Ga je dit doen met een Pandora's box dan word het al heel lastig want dan moet je zelf een stroom toevoeg maken.

@@vincenzorutigliano5435 also look into ODROID-N2+ for the best performance. It’s a lot better than the rpi4 .
If you have pandora box handy this makes sense. I have a lot of rpi 3B+ laying around since they are cheap and rpi 4b 2GB is cheap as well.

thanks for the vid, i just ordered a street fighter 2 legacy arcade1up, if i were to do something like this at the bear minimum i would need the proper lcd controller, 2 small buttons, 2 proper joysticks, proper new wiring for buttons and the pandora?

Pandora 11 $80 buy a big screen hook up to wall. Make a $40 Home Depot stand for Pandora joy stock panels main system. Call it a day. Money saved, big ass screen miniature screen out. Add a Amazon stick wow!

Heeeelppp: I have a Pandora DX with 6 buttons and the preset controls for playing ps1 games won't let me have the R1, does anyone know how to swap a button to replace it with the R1? (For resident evil 2)
Should of marked the button connectors with the correct colors with markers to save time.

I've just bought a TAPDRA Pandora Box DX Version Familiar Home Edition to replace my arcade1up electronic board. I'm having a little problem with the monitor configuration.
I wired it with VGA, mainly because it's a 4:3 monitor. I changed the resolution on the pandora, but I cannot fit the screen in my monitor. it is displaced to the right and I cannot move it. Do you have any specific configuration manual related to this issue?

Hold the reset button and boot up the pandora that is how you swap resolutions of the mainboard. You can always adjust the monitor with the tiny button board that comes with ths arcade1up monitor kit. Did you try both ?
@@WickedGamerCollector yes. i have tried all. with hdmi and vga. in the screen i saw 720 p, but displaced to the right. with the butons of the monitor kit, i push full in dispaly side, and complete it all the screen, but i dont see all the windows. allways there is some of the picture hidden in the right

I just got the Capcom Legacy cabinet with a light up marquee. How can I get the marquee to light up with a Pandora's Box?
I don't own a cabinet like that.
Question remains where does he get his power from and what is the voltage ?
Because if it isn't 12v you shall need to find a different power source for the right voltage for the marque.
Is it normal that some roms like super street fighter 2 turbo dont have any demo mode ? There's no demo if i let the game running just a super sf2turbo screen..
Hi there. How do I get the 2 player start button to work. I have 1 player start button. And the two player start button is pause. I soooo want the 2 player start button to not be pause but 2 player start so that I can play 2 players with my son. I've even taken it into a computer shop but they ain't got a clue so I'm back to square one. Can someone please help me. Its driving me nuts.

So I followed all your instructions, also bought all the parts from yours links , but it seems that the new joysticks 🕹 port its different, I don't know but I need help this is really frustrating

To make it easy ... yes otherwise you need to do some soldering 🤔, also what cab you have makes a difference 😄 did see 2 different kind of joystick quality when modding these machines.

Depends what model you have.
My first gen where all horrible buttons and with wires stuck to them.
Later models I could remove cables from buttons and stick another cable on it.
And they where not really bad.

Connect the original speaker of the arcade on the mainboard... if you have a family edition.
It's the 2 pin connector.... comes with the Cabletree 😬
I just exchanged this 1lb to 4lb spring and gates to octagonal ones + purchased a bit bigger battop (I have MK2 cab). I don’t see any sense of exchanging those joysticks.
Are the joysticks much better with the new springs and gates
@@theknight8036 I would say they are relatively good. They are not the same as Happ or Sanwa official products but for me they are ok.

With pandora's box you can use Coin & Start to exit option.
See the settings for the pandora's box mainboard by pressing the little black button on the back.

How did you power up the sounds?
With pandora I plug it into the mainboard itself.
Also using the main stock speaker.
Sound like a charm !

I think arcade repair technicians promote these videos. They have a dozen arcades running in their garage. Nothing like old school crt screens for centipede! Lol All on one package for home use is not efficient! Commercial yeah!
