I agree with you. Willow and Oz was a huge love story. One of the most heartbreaking episodes was Willow falling apart when Oz left. I think it's rather disingenuous to sideline the Willow and Oz relationship in order to big up the gay one. Willow was clearly bi-sexual and that should be celebrated by both love stories to Oz and Tara.

I think Oz and Willow were my fav couple in the whole series. Here she was this kooky brainy but so clearly awesome girl who gets with this cool guitar playing awesome guy. I just loved their story. And really horribly felt it when he ditched her to find out more about his werewolfness. That eps where he and the other werewolf/rock girl are talking and they both kind of make fun of Willow for not knowing some drum reference. Still kills me to think about it. How he basically rejects her for not getting him; like he finally realized she's not cool enough for him. It was horrible but done so well.

He was cursed, that's why he needed his soul. Spike, on the other hand, had things to prove. He wanted to be better and he would do anything to prove that he WAS, that he was worthy. Spike's arch is also heartbreaking but his character growth from William to Spike to a champion metaphorically slays.

Yes. I dislike that most of the clips and discussion are from seasons 1 and 2, the weakest seasons. The show soared in every single way from season 3 onward. Not a fan of this focusing so much on Angel, who yes was significant to Buffy's early journey but was a relatively small part of the show compared to everything else. I dislike that the video glosses over and ignores the many huge pivotal journeys from seasons 3-7, including very dark arcs of the show like Buffy's depression and struggles with being addicted to violence via Spike, dark Willow, Warren's actions and what he represents, Spike's rabbit hole of obsession and se;xuaI vioIence, other addictions and all kinds of life issues, and so on. This video unintentionally really sells the show short by ignoring the meat of it.

As a little girl who grew up (born in 2000) and had a father who loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer and encouraged my growth and independence and Buffy-ness. I can't explain how important Buffy Summers (and characters similar to her like Veronica Mars and Lucy Pevensie, etc) was to my childhood and view of myself. I thought being more masculine and negating my femininity was the only way to seem bigger and more empowered until I witnessed them just being themselves and growing more comfortable in themselves. Now I'm at the age where Buffy was ending college and I feel like I could be Buffy. That I make my own destiny and no one has more control over me than I do.

He was in the group sitting on the left end. Second, I was on Team Angel until Spike came on. While I agree that Angel will always be Buffy's true love, Spike loved her more than Angel. Angel only loved Buffy when he had a soul. When the curse was lifted and he lost his soul, Angelus did not love Buffy. Spike loved Buffy even without a soul and fought really hard to get his soul back so he could be worthy of her. At least that is my humble opinion.

I do think that Spike was in love with her which was sweet and yea they did have chemistry, but I think the whole Spike/Buffy thing helped Spike more than Buffy, in terms of trying to find who he was. I felt that Angel and Buffy had real chemistry and things seemed natural and organic between them. Most of all, their love for each other was mutual. With Spike, I thought it was a one-sided, unrequited love on his part. Often women can be won over/worn down by that soul-rending, persistent, damn it all approach, but I just felt he forced it too much.

Awww… how am I just finding out about this reunion!!😣😣 I totally loved this show. When my son was just 6 yrs old we watched the whole series together and whenever we used to pass near a cemetery he used to say “Look mommy it’s Buffy’s lair !!” He also grew to love all the characters. Last thing I will say is that I’m 100% team Spike 🥰 I felt Spike’s love for Buffy was stronger and more real because he loved her when he didn’t have a soul and he did everything in his power to get a soul. When he finally had a soul he loved her even more that he sacrificed himself to save her. Ángel on the other hand only loved her when he had a soul and he had one because he was cursed not because he wanted one. When he didn’t have a soul he tried to kill her and even killed her friend slayer to cause her pain. Anyway so happy to see the cast together. Thank you for all the good memories 🥰🥰👏👏👏

They captured so many human young adult moments in a fantasy show with monsters and heros. It still blows me away just how well orchestrated it all was and sometimes not even on purpose! As a young teen, watching Buffy and Angel it really connected to the excitement, but also fear, of first love. Being vulnerable with someone for the first time as a teenage girl, there's always fears of rejection or doing something wrong. When Angel lost his soul, they played right into those fears that a guy will flip a switch after being sexual with a girl and turn into a jerk. Angel was someone we knew would never do that, but being a supernatural show, anything can happen. We got to really see what that kind of broken trust looked like from a young girl's viewpoint and be a part of the feelings of confusion and shock at Angel's switch.

So during this they pose the question of who was better for Buffy, Angel or Spike. And I agree that Angel (with a soul) is better for her than Spike (with a soul), only because with Angel she fully returned that love. But Angel (no soul) and Spike (no soul), there's no comparison. Without a soul Spike improved as a person and loved Buffy; Angel without a soul killed her friend and tried to end the world. So in my humble opinion, overall, Spike was better for her because he loved her with or without a soul....... and they could bang.

Ok I don't care whose feelings get hurt, I completely disagree about who Buffy was best with. I am team Spike. Know why? The DEMON fell in love with Buffy. Unlike Angel, who was cursed with a soul and had no romantic future with Buffy whatsoever, Spike the DEMON fell so hard in love with her that he risked everything (he literally almost died) in order to try to be good enough for her. He knew the pain he would go through beforehand.
    1. Both Spike the man and Spike the demon loved Buffy wholeheartedly until the end.
    2. There wasn't a negative stipulation on sex where Spike's soul was concerned. They could have lived happily together for a lifetime.
    3. Buffy loved Spike more than Angel, it's what I personally saw in the show. They knew each other so well by the end of the last season that there was an actual platform for lifelong love and trust.
    4. Let's face it... Without a soul, Angelus is the single most evil and nasty being that existed in the show. I literally hate him.
    Conclusion???? SPIKE FOR THE WIN.

I always hoped they would do a three season wrap up. Give the actors a little extra fun work, although Hannigan and Boreanaz have been incredibly busy. Going back after two decades would be perfect. Spike and Angels obvious aging could be explained as a result of having their souls. I watch Buffy and Angel atleast once every year. Was so in love with these shows growing up. Could not wait to come home from school on the days Buffy aired.

Team Spike. Angel was a jersey in life and as a vampire. Spike was the nice guy that got turned into the monster by the actions of others rather than by choice. It would have been nice to see him get the girl after he came back to who he was in his soul.

I must applaud Charisma Carpenter for the courage needed to show up, to see Joss again. But she did it for the fans. It was easily the biggest meeting of the cast members ever, and we wanted to see everyone. Yes Tony Head was busy and for some reason they didn't invite Eliza Dushku (they still had guest stars in Alexis and Kristine) so props to Charisma. Were it me, I would've shown up for the fans, and then kicked Joss' fake feminist ass so hard it'd be sore for a month.

Genuinely think she was being a diva. They literally incorporated her pregnancy into season 4 of Angel. Feel she was probably demanding more than she was due and was let go as a result.

Eliza Dushku won a sexual harassment suite against the star of Bull who created a horrible working environment for her. I don't think she's been seen on TV since.

@@BusyBusinessHostingNPromotion yeah but like I said, they literally incorporated her pregnancy into the storyline. They were working around her. What she said and what clearly happened are two different things

Truly one of the best written shows in the history of TV. Think what you will about vampires, demons, etc, it's witty, clever, passionate, smart, funny and makes you feel. Too few shows have ever achieved all of that, so this one deserves to be on Top 10 lists.
