Awesome performance! Very melodic. How do you find the latency when playing into the GP200 & monitoring through your computer? Is it noticeable or distracting at all?
@@elbowjames7625 That's frustrating. I saw Leo Gibson's latency test and it had the GP 200 only a tiny bit worse than the Kemper, Quad Cortex and FM3 stage so I assumed it would be really good. And other people are raving about how good the unit is, no mention of lag. But then here's someone with actual experience using the unit who isn't happy with the specific thing I'm worried about so... Thanks very much for responding with all the details. I'll have to re-evaluate my options.
@@elbowjames7625 Good info. So if I got a separate audio interface which I know has low latency like, say the Motu M4, and plugged the Valeton into it just for effects, do you think I'd still have unusable lag? For context- I'm building a budget home studio for myself. I was thinking I could skip buying another AI unit and just use the Valeton straight into the PC, outputting to monitors or headphones...but I don't want the lag I have had in the past trying to record guitar. As you can probably tell, I'm not ultra tech savvy, but I'm learning. And I am buying a house shortly, so I can't justify spending Axe-FX III money. I thought the Valeton might be a solid budget piece of gear. I just don't want to deal with stupid latency problems.
@@elbowjames7625 I think the Focusrite and the Motu are pretty similar units...For now I'm renting so I'll be using headphones anyway. I'll get the Valeton and see how it goes, and if I need to use a separate interface I'll just have to buy one later. Thanks for taking the time to reply to me, I really appreciate it as there's not much information online about this topic. Out of curiosity, what headphones do you recommend? I was going to go with the Audio Technica R70x. I heard good things in terms of how they're nice and neutral for recording music and I already found other AT headphones to be pretty comfy.
As a bass player I would like to sp,it my signal and treat highs and lows with separate effects. If I understand well this unit cannot split signal. So this is a pity and should be be repaired soon. Otherwise this Line 6. Clone ist worthless

@@elbowjames7625 How did you have it hooked up? Any pedals in front?
