Hiya - first of all... thank you for your service! ... and good on you for taking up the guitar. I hope it's going well for you. I'm a MASSIVE Gilmour fan! I still love my GP200 and the one thing I'll say is: I don't see the point in buying the Junior version. There's not a HUGE difference in price, and the regular GP200 is SO SO good! that said, I've never tried a Jr, so don't REALLY know its limitations.
Love the sound of the preset. Will be trying it out when i get home. Hopefully it wil sound as good with humbuckers, since i don't own any strat or single coil guitars. Maybe in the future, you could A/B your created patches. single coil vs humbucker and what to tweak. Cheers mate

Thank you for your kind words Gianluca. On this video, I was using the 'inbetween' strat sound... Bridge and Middle pickup together. Another Brick in The Wall sound! If you want to know WHICH model of Seymour Duncan pickups... I can't remember! They MIGHT have been 62 style pickups... It's been about 30 years since those Seymour Duncans went in!
I downloaded your preset and then I understand that... good sound but the player is the key! Can you post a preset to became such a good player as you are?@@PaulBondMusic
I have been thinking of buy a Valeton GP200 ....you are doing a great job on the demo's. I wonder if I might ask for an opinion, am thinking of running it through a powerstation straight into a 1x 12 cab. Do you see any downside to this?
Thanks for the comment. I actually DO see a downside to this! You see, the Valeton either needs to go straight into a mixing desk/PA or it needs to go into a FRFR cabinet. If you are not sure what they are, FRFR cabs are essentially little PA systems that look like a guitar cab. Presuming you are talking about a Freyette Powerstation, the Valeton doesn't need attenuating, and although it'll need amplyfying for gigging purposes, you don't want it going into a traditional guitar amp or guitar speaker. I hope to do a video about all this soon.
@@PaulBondMusic just want to update you briefly. I got the cab and power amp pedal. Hooked it all up and just played without altering any GP200 pre-sets. The volume and clarity is absolutely there, the sound is incredible. I can honestly say this is the best set up I have ever had. I would seriously recommend anyone looking for a cheap versatile rig to explore this.
Hi Paul. I've got my gp200. Just made a start installing the gp200 software on my computer. When I switch on the gp200 and activate the software it takes a full 60 seconds to load up before I can use the software to control the device from the computer.. It also drops out sometimes after 20 seconds.. I'm trying a higher quality usb C cable.. Bit of a disappointing start.. Still got plenty of time to return it.. Best George..
I would say it will almost certainly be the cable. My software probably takes about 10-15 seconds to connect to the unit. Once it's connected, it's solid as a rock.
Paul I've changed to a quality usb C and it's stable. Takes 20 seconds to connect then loads in 2 - 3 seconds.. Good enough.. Much happier now.. Bit of a perfectionist here 😊
exacly right i compare it to bos gt 1000 of my student that cost 4 or times more and the valeton trash the boss which sound thin and digital and not friendly use @@PaulBondMusic
Hi Daniel... You have probably found out by now, but any digital amp such as the Valeton is not intended to be plugged into a tradition guitar amp. You SHOULD hear something, but it won't sound great. Digital amps are designed to either go into a FRFR cabinet, a PA system or straight into a studio recording system.
Thank you for the compliment... I can't exactly remember what I used for the solo as it was pre-Valeton, but I'm pretty sure that it would have been my Kemper.
Also find the settings to enable alternate switching and dual switching of FX. Like enabling dst and dly whilst disabling rev for solo work. That sort of thing. Easier than hitting multiple to attain the same.
@@PaulBondMusic I played classical guitar growing up and switched to electric guitar 5 years ago. I am really not up on tech, but learning fairly fast. I would like to see a video of the difference between through monitors and amps to see what needs to be tweaked.

Looking at different Multi Effects pedals to use with my Lap Steel and really like this one for its vast array of options. Is there any way you can do a video of the 200 through the 200, and maybe review a 200-Jr.
Thanks !
Cheers mate
Good point - I haven't tried it myself yet with humbuckers. Let me know how you get on... good or bad lol
Awesome song!!!
Awww - thanks so much.
GR8 demo love it
Cheers 😎
Wow! What a guitar tone master... best sounding clean guitar I've ever heard! It's amazing! I'm on the way for a GP200 after this... And what a guitar! a beautiful sound from the first stroke just before processing! Can I ask you what kind a pick up you choose for this amazing instrument? Thanks so much and keep posting patches video! Greetings from Italy!
Thaks so mack

ops! Thanks so much...

I downloaded your preset and then I understand that... good sound but the player is the key! Can you post a preset to became such a good player as you are?@@PaulBondMusic
Just great!
Cheers Felipe
Hi Paul ...have been following your set up for the clean sound etc...but how can I access the Valeton presets so I can import the file to my unit?
When I refer to the import at 17:30 in the video, I am using the Valetone software with the GP200 connected via USB.
Best
George..
Bit of a perfectionist here 😊
@@georgewilkins4231 Pleased to hear it's better.
amazing video u play very good ..just thinking to sall my old boss processor and buy the valeton
For the money, I still believe that nothing comes close to the GP200
exacly right i compare it to bos gt 1000 of my student that cost 4 or times more and the valeton trash the boss which sound thin and digital and not friendly use @@PaulBondMusic
I bought the valeton gp-200 jr but i dont get any sound when i pug it into my amp? Iv never used tech before. Always old school pedals.
Hi Daniel... You have probably found out by now, but any digital amp such as the Valeton is not intended to be plugged into a tradition guitar amp. You SHOULD hear something, but it won't sound great.
Digital amps are designed to either go into a FRFR cabinet, a PA system or straight into a studio recording system.
i cant wait for the song well anticipated please could you send us the tone you used for the solo please ?
the wah drive
Thank you for the compliment... I can't exactly remember what I used for the solo as it was pre-Valeton, but I'm pretty sure that it would have been my Kemper.
Maybe come up with a complete collection of original settings for clean, crunch, rhythm and solo.
Yes I should do that!
Also find the settings to enable alternate switching and dual switching of FX. Like enabling dst and dly whilst disabling rev for solo work. That sort of thing. Easier than hitting multiple to attain the same.
And using eq as a boost.
Hola, podrías emular la distorsión del the rockman ? Saludos
That's a good idea... I'll have a look into that when I'm back off tour.

I love this guy! When you make a patch do you go through monitors or your amp typically?
Ahhh - I'm feelin' the love!
ALWAYS through my studio monitors.
Would you like to see how to use the FX through an amp?
@@PaulBondMusic I played classical guitar growing up and switched to electric guitar 5 years ago. I am really not up on tech, but learning fairly fast.
I would like to see a video of the difference between through monitors and amps to see what needs to be tweaked.
Hi I need help please. Any idea how I can simply play backing tracks through the valeton using my mobile phone so I can play along (using Apple Music or even UA-cam backing tracks)
If this isn’t doable what’s the easiest / most normal way of using backing tracks to play along with.
Thanks !
Sorry for the late reply... did you manage to figure this out?
@@PaulBondMusic yes I use an ‘aux in’ going into the unit connected into my
iPhone and just use UA-cam backing tracks 🙏🏻
Awesome! Now subscribed!
Awesome! Thank you!
