@@jorge_albuquerque when I am using my IEM directly to my valeton it sounds a little muzzled and muddier compared to when I have it on a mixer or amp, when I try to record it on Different NLE it sounds more muzzled and muddy with extra bass. Been scratching my head for months now.
@ I never tried IEM on the Valeton. I’ll check that. About the recording how are you connecting tue valeton? Via usb or with audio interface? Wich DAW are you using?
@ suposly not. But no doubt connecting via xlr has been the best option for me so far. Im using logic. Have you any issue with latency? Im addressing that now. And as soon I find the solution Ill be sharing that.
very helpful as well ofc.. love the production of this video.. but a way to improve it (in my opinion) is to add some lofi bg music.. try it out in your next video!! no idea how you dont have over 1k subscribers with this lvl of production!
Music on the background? I'll try it out more 👍🏼 Thancks for the feedback. Always welcome. Well I'll get there I hope. I'm glad to read these comments though. Thanks for the support.
Excellent video. Can I use the Valeton GP200 as an audio interface pluged in directly into the PC? Is there audio latency doing this way? Or do I need to buy an audio interface?
Hey! Thanks. You can use it as an audio interface. I never fully used it like that but you can. But it depends on your needs. The Valeton doesn’t have latency on its own. I just find it usefull to use it with other audio interface. But Ill make a test using the valeton fully as an audio interface.
@@jorge_albuquerque I you could test it like this and give me a feedback it would really help me! I'm about to buy one but I'm researching for this latency issue.
Hi Jorge!! FELICIDADES!! Excelente video. Can I just connect to my interface just using the XLR input & record this way? Or is it best to go through the USB? Thanks!! I use Pro tools & Reaper.
Hey! Obrigado! (Good Portuguese). Sure, you can. I use that method the most-it seems to be the best way to ensure the highest quality. USB can introduce some latency, though. I'm preparing a video to address the latency issue as well.
Obligado meu amigo! I'm also accustomed to recording this way through an emulated out from my Blackstar amp. I have decided to go digital and will be buying a gp 200. The tube amp is heavy for dragging around & I think the valeton is a multi- function and better for me. Tome cuidado meu amigo & thank you once again.
hello jorge. nice video. big help.. i just want to ask which DAW are you using because i dont have an audio interface, maybe you can give me an advice which DAW should i use for begineer. i do havaleton gp 200. maybe you can help me what to use and how to record without audio interface thanks in advance bro..
Hey hey. Thanks for the feedback :) Yes, you can use the Valeton GP200 as an audio interface. Simply connect it to your computer via USB, and then set the Valeton as both the input and output device in your computer's audio settings. You’ll also need to configure the audio settings in your DAW. I’m using Logic Pro in this example, but you can use any DAW you prefer. If you’re looking for options, I’ve included a video showcasing a selection of DAWs to choose from. ua-cam.com/video/7bfO3FQsE3Y/v-deo.htmlsi=_bUmpnsrIZjxFP5f Let me know if you need further details. Hug! And Happy New Year!
Great content and explanation. Sorry for the “silly” question but I am a newbie: Is it possible to plug a mic into the GP200 and get the guitar and the voice into the DAW? Thank you again
Thanks for the feedback. Yes you can. The pedalboard works as an audio interface. You just turn of cab and amp emulation or you can turn it on for some experimentation sounds and effects.
Muchas gracias por el vídeo . He notado que la grabación de la Valeton es mejor hacerla por la entrada de audio del interfaz usando las salidas xlr. La grabación vía usb no es tan profesional, y además a veces he notado que tiene algún problema se clipeo.
@@jorge_albuquerquecan you just use the gp200 for playback monitoring as well? I mean set the output to the gp200 aswell? I get very bad latency and pops and clicks when i try to use the GP as a interface :( do you think you can help me out?
Hey. I actually never used the output for monitoring but I’ll do the test, and let you know my thoughts. Computer power can also plays a role on latency.
@@jorge_albuquerque thanks. Maybe theres something wrong with my setup, because in the valeton ASIO control panel, it says ” Asio not active”. Is it supposed to be active?
Thanks for this video. Do you have any issue with latency? I've tried Audacity and Garage Band and am hearing about 0.75 second delay from my playing when attached using USB-C
You are welcome. Yes, I have the same issue with UCB-C. It disepers if you connect the valeton to the audio interface. As soon as I know how to solve the latency thru the USB-C issue, I'll make a video about it, for sure.
Thanks for showing the 2nd option. It makes a lot of good sense 😊
I thought it could be. It made sense for me. And the valeton can be used in the both systems so I hope it helps.
great tutorial, but my issue is it sounds different when I am recording it.
How so? Can you describe it?So, when you play thru the computer it sounds good, but when you press record the sound is altered?

Hey hey. Just to tell that I did the test and I didn't notcied any latency while playing using the GP200 as an audio interface. Good to go.
