    I love your RV videos.
    I could watch them all day.
    Now all I have to do is find the money to buy one of these so that I can drive some where and lay around instead of laying around at home at watching videos about RVs.

    These are great versatile vehicles. We love our 2017. If you are own one or are considering buying , I highly recommend installing a anti sway bar. The bar will greatly improve the ride and handling . Pleasure way removes the stock bar to facilitate room for the generator. I do not understand how pleasure way can justify not replacing a stock component they remove. Do yourself another big favor and replace the stock (junk) tires with a set of Michelin ltx defenders. You will be amazed how much these 2 upgrades will improve the driving experience. Smoother, quieter , much less body sway, especially in windy conditions.

    The 2000W inverter might max out if it's used to power the microwave at the same time it's powering other devices & the power sockets. A 1000W cooking power microwave typically draws 1500W constant. Reducing the cooking power won't help either, because most microwaves don't actually draw less power when you do that, they just cycle between 100% power and 0% power. Only an inverter microwave, most of which are made by Panasonic, actually reduces the draw wattage when you reduce the cooking wattage, and even those are only about 75% efficient (i.e., reduced cooking wattage of 750W requires 1000W draw). Might want to up the wattage of the inverter or put a Panasonic inverter microwave in there.

    I have seen this RV at RV show. The cabinets are solid solid solid. I believe they will last a lifetime.
    This is a well thought out design. The execution is definitely first rated. I love it.
    My only reservations are: I want to stay away from Onan. I know the 2nd alternator is not powerful enough to run the A/C, but I don't intend to use the A/C while camping, and I don't want to deal with the Onan maintenance. I would like to have more solar, more lithium (400), and an all electric fridge. 4x4 would be nice, although not needed. But at your price point, I am surprised that you are shying away from it.

    Great all around van ! I also noticed something you've done better than other van is that you addressed the concern of feeling uncomfortable with the seams in a convertible sofas! However at this price point, and since you said you want people also able to use them as a secondary vehicle, why don't you add the following:
    1. Removable head rest for the rear seat, also mount point for car seat
    2. Adding a secondary bed/ berth so that the van can sleep a family of four (or if your customer is retiree, they can take their grand kids going camping)
    3. Storage/box/rack or some place to put ski/surfboard, camping chair/table...
    4. Higher power solar panel.
    5. Swivel passenger side seat (not that necessary since the living area is the bed, but could add to the feeling of space inside the van)

    You said if you "ever" have a problem (flat) I assume...Pleasure Way will provide assistance...yet your printed literature states one year assistance...so, is it one year or "ever"? I am sure your lawyer would argue "one year"...that aside...really...really nice job, congrats on a great unit.

    @markbtw7987 7 років тому +23

    That's kind of ridiculous to not include a spare tire just to discourage drivers from changing one on the side of the road. Just for the sake of safety it should always be there, just in case you're in a very remote area where assistance wouldn't be feasible or timely. It's also rather arrogant to assume that a technician from your assistance program would be more versed in roadside safety than the driver of these vehicles. Otherwise great van.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +19

      Hi MarkBTW, thank you for your comment and concern. We still offer the option of adding our rear door mounted tire carrier to all our standard body vans. We also include a tire repair kit with compressor that will provide adequate service for most tire damage scenarios. For those that are frequently in locations that are out of cellular service, away from emergency assistance, and are comfortable changing a tire, then adding the tire carrier may be something to consider. Thank you.

      @billhautz5861 7 років тому

      Got to agree with Leonardo and BTW for anyone that doesn't know I used fix-a-flat once and while it did work when I took the tire in for a more formal repair I was told that that tire was toast because of the Fix a Flat and could not now be plugged. In other word it fixed the leak but ruined the tire. Had to buy a new one! So, beware! Maybe they were jerking my chain , but that's what happened

      Dragovich class B is always expensive on many reasons. the main reason is its indemand. many people like it and buy these class B for stealth camp, easy to drive, fuel efficent and people use these for full time rv life like supply and demand. there is a good market on class B thats why the price is high.
      just wanna add: pretty clean built. simple and clean. but i dont like a Generator on class B specially on small van like this. all in all 9/10

    • @vermontmike9800

      Bill Hautz this is complete BS. I've had a fix-a-flat tire repaired the traditional way and it lasted the entire rest of the time I had the car. The tire specialist said it doesn't harm the tire.

    Is there a square or rectangle table available? The round table would make it tough to do work on a computer.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +1

      Hi Mary, yes, we use a rectangular table in the plateau FL + TS models and it would be possible to add that table to the Ascent. The main reason we don't include a larger table in the Ascent is the lack of a proper storage spot for one. The Plateau TS and FL each have a designated spot for the larger table, so that would be the only thing to keep in mind. Thanks for your question!

  • @rdvqc

    Looks great though 200 AmpHr should be doubled at least - Lithium Ion good though. 2000 Watt inverter good.
    If the tank status meter is accurate it would be great - still a challenge in many implementations.
    With a bit more DC capaciity a 12v compressor fridge would save the pain of worrying about the RV being sufficiently level. 3-way sounds great but it has its challenges. Hooks in head great! The sink in the head is probably surplus based on our experience.
    Next the whole thing should be implemented on the Ram Promaster.
    Canadians still do the best class B motorhomes!
    Written as I sit in my Roadtrek Zion.

    • @iamkat2
      @iamkat2 7 років тому

      Oh, I see from the web site, the window is mid-way up the wall in the bathroom. Seems there would be privacy issues when showering. A fan and/or a window at maybe eye level when standing would have been a better choice.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +2

      Hi iamkat2, thanks for your comment and questions. To ensure privacy and seal the window while showering, we include a small shower curtain that attaches to velcro pieces located on both sides of the window. It completely covers the window while also keeping water away from it.
      Regarding venting for the bathroom, the Fantastic Fan located right outside of the door, seen at 19:41, provides all necessary venting for the bathroom. We leave a 2 inch gap at the top of the bathroom door to allow the fan to properly vent out the bathroom. We centrally locate the Fantastic Fan so it can also provide venting for the kitchen area as well as the rest of the coach. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!

    Damn that was a very detailed review, Fantastic! However, the design is great, but for my taste it's a little off. The sofa bed is great, but a flatter surface would be nice. The bathroom is too cramped, plus a sliding door is preferable. The dining table is too small if you have guests, I can't imagine 4 people eating dinner on that table lol. Big thumbs up for the auto switch power source. The fridge is great. Very versatile, can be powered in different ways. I like the Control panel, you can adjust/On/off things by a push of a button. The bug screen is awesome and the awning, it auto retracts itself when there's a high wind, how cool is that? :D The fact that it's so small, you can literally take it anywhere where a regular car can go. 8/10. Awesome work :D Thanks! Subbed

    You take the time to make a big deal about your elimination of the spare on your smallest model unit stating that the unit is too heavy to change the tire safely but also make a big deal about actually putting the continental spare tire kit on the larger model. Kinda a conflict in reasoning one might say.

      Hi Elaine, Ultraleather is a polyurethane synthetic leather. It is not real leather. We use it because of the many advantages it has over real leather likes its ability to breath, durability, stays cooler, easy to wipe clean and is very low maintenance. If you're curious to learn more about Ultraleather check out this link: goo.gl/7uj4Xb Thanks for your question!

    • @elainemarie9470
      @elainemarie9470 7 років тому +1

      Pleasure-Way Motorhomes Ah! Thank you for explaining that.
      I am wondering how well the materials hold up to desert conditions, with arid heat. The synthetics break down faster with a shorter lifespan, and anything with chemical components off-gas VOCs much more in these warmer climates.
      I love traveling on the road in the Southwestern USA, and have noticed increased aging processes' impact on everything.
      Including myself, LOL.
      Much appreciation.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому

      A great aspect of Ultraleather is that it's Greenguard certified, meaning it meets all VOC emission standards and does not off gas. More info on that here: goo.gl/Fbe8eA
      Also, Ultraleather is resistant to cracking from excessive heat, odorless, and keeps its soft feel aesthetic in varying weather conditions. Here is a handy chart that compares Ultraleather to real leather and PVC products: goo.gl/kRZSfZ I hope that helps!

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +2

      Hello, the CAD and US MSRP can be found at the top of this page: goo.gl/0pYcMZ
      Regarding dry camping in the Ascent, if you were to run your fridge, furnace, hot water heater and stove from your LP gas tank and use the 200 amp hours of lithium batteries to run your LED lights, USB ports, water pump, and other small 110v electronics through the inverter, you could easily dry camp for a few days. Additionally, if you have solar panels and adequate sunlight, the panels will help keep your batteries charged. Of course the amount of time you can dry camp depends on how much power you consume, but the Ascent will provide you with plenty of options. Thanks for watching!

    The black plastic door handle looks so cheap. If they were chromed or body colored, the Ascent would look so much better.

    Beautiful! Love it. Just one small thing, the "extra" passages on the back sofa , while they have seat belts, no head restraints! Not good! Other than that, pretty cool.

    With the price tag, this is buying a home on wheels...or a mobile home you can drive.
