  • Allow us to take you on a tour of the 2017 Plateau FL.
    To learn more about the Plateau FL please visit: pleasureway.com...
    We highlight the unique front lounge, which utilizes the swivelling captains chairs to create a second dining and work area. The new 2000 watt inverter provides even more functionality to the front workstation, as you can power any 110v or USB device straight from the two lithium coach batteries.
    We also take a deep dive into how we achieve our renown fit and finish by showing the installation of our plywood subfloor as well as the construction of the kitchen cabinetry!

    I really like how you go into detail on how your coaches are built with such quality. You don't see this from any other manufacturers out there. I'd love to see a 4 x 4 version of the ascent.

    Very nicely done, Dean. Two things I'd like to see you address to make the coach better. First, an operable, street-side, awning window in the forward lounge to foster cross ventilation. Second, a bathroom without an exhaust is troublesome. A Ventline Vanair fan would evacuate steam, heat, and odors. This is an extremely wellmade product reflecting fine craftsmanship and pride. Love your dedication to quality.

      Hi dkb2go, thank you for taking the time to share your comments and suggestions, we appreciate the feedback. Regarding the bathroom vent, our placement of the Fantastic Fan, seen at 18:34, allows it to properly exhaust the bathroom as well as the kitchen area.
      We leave a small gap along the edges of the bathroom doors to allow moisture to escape, but we also recommend leaving a bathroom door open or ajar while showering. This may sound counterintuitive, but the shower curtain inside the wet bath is what will keep water from getting outside the shower area. Thanks again for the feedback and for watching!

    • @2badger2
      @2badger2 7 років тому

      But do you want the bathroom to be vented into the kitchen area?

    • @MrDorian61
      @MrDorian61 7 років тому

      The key word is exhaust. The air from both areas is drawn to the outside. These multi bladed fans move a lot of air.

    What a beautiful, well built conversion. Love the FL layout. I would like to see an all electric FL, with under the hood generator, compressor refrigerator, induction top, and diesel heat. And a bathroom fan.

  • @dlg5485

    This is definitely one of the highest quality class b vans out there. However, those ground effects that run along the body sticks out way too far, looks terrible. Also, you guys need to offer an all electric version of this coach with more batteries and solar panels, with under-hood generator instead of Onan. Diesel fueled radiant heat and hot water systems are also becoming more popular with people who don't want propane on board. Roadtrek and others have been offering this type of configuration for years. A lot of people want an all electric coach.

    • @gregsimpson621
      @gregsimpson621 7 років тому +1

      D LG Exactly! I love the 2500+ generator off the diesel engine. And 470 watt solar panel system. Typically have 2 batteries off each system although I'd prefer 6 batteries total with the newer sine conversion system. Solar panels use to be 50 to 100 watts. I've seen some with 300 watts per panel. And they use solar panel air deflectors, both front and on the side for side winds. I want to be propane free.

    Great video, this is the unit we want for our retirement. Im 6'3" but looks like I won't have a problem standing in the galley area. The FL is perfect for 2 people that keep different sleep patterns. Does the sofa have different textures on the seating part and the back that folds down? The airstream sofa is uncomfortable because of this, your head is resting lower from the waist up.

    this is what we would like to have in the future. I personally would not want the sink in the shower. The shower is too small already, a wash of hands is only a step away. I would like to know the fresh water storage, which I am sure I can find online. Great video and product.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +1

      Hi Dave and Purdy, regarding the sink in the shower, you certainly have the option to remove it if you were to custom order your Pleasure-Way. The fresh water tank capacity is 30 US Gal/113L, the grey water tank is 35 US Gal/132L and the black water tank is 12 US Gal/45L. You can find all other specifications, weights and measures here: pleasureway.com/plateau-fl/ I hope that helps, thanks for watching!

    I think for the money this is the best built Class B I've seen, my favourite floorplan, and the length of the RV for driving is just right for me. I especially like the passenger side windows and the window behind the driver's side. I hope Pleasure-Way will look into exterior paint: graphite gray or platinum; and I like the no-decal look. Since there's a solar panel on the roof, will there be a ladder available as an option? Can I get a bathroom window that opens? Also I wanted to add that the cabinet handles are amazing... so handy for hanging things up temporarily, unlike push button handles. Thanks.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +1

      Hi Lyricist1anda2, glad to hear you are a fan of the front lounge floorplan. Regarding the window in the bathroom, the reason it does not open is because of the original glass panel of the chassis it sits in. If you visit 2:03 of the video, you'll see the first glass window pane and that's what the bathroom window sits behind. As for an optional ladder, we currently do not offer one. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

    Do you have a option for tilting the solar panels to get more efficient power generation? I do a little off road driving and I was wondering if A/T tires might be better than the all seasonal tires, the tire thread is just a little deeper. Do you offer than tire option? Thank you.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому

      Greetings! We currently do not provide an option for tilting the solar panels. As for A/T tires, that is something you will be able to order through your Pleasure-Way dealer: pleasureway.com/locator/ We ship the motorhomes with the standard, Continental VancoFourSeason tires provided by Mercedes-Benz. Thanks for your interest!

    I am in love with the FL! Is it a 5 speed automatic transmission and gasoline and/or diesel? I am moving to Dallas,Texas and saw you have a dealership in Halton, TxXwhich is only like an hour away from Melissa, Texas. Right now I am in NJ. Also is this the same type of stainless steel sink well as in the Airway stream. i don't want my fork to fall into it and pierce through the sink.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +1

      Hi Jen, the Plateau FL has a 3.0L V6 BlueTEC Turbo Diesel engine and features a 5 speed, automatic transmission. The stainless steel sink is very high quality, we can assure you that. All other specs and details on the Plateau FL can be found here: pleasureway.com/plateau-fl/ Thanks for your interest!

    Just test drove your Plateau FL...and loved it...is there any way to retrofit the TVs to connect headphones?

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому +1

      Greetings! Connecting headphones directly to the TV is tricky. The only inputs the TV has are HDMI and coaxial cable, meaning, you can only connect headphones through a third party device like an Apple TV or Roku. For example, the Roku allows you to plug headphones directly into its remote. Additionally, Apple TV allows you to connect Bluetooth enabled headphones. However, these solutions will not work if you wanted to use headphones for watching cable TV via the antenna, as that is connected directly into the TV. I hope this helps, thanks for your interest!

      @@pleasureway So curious, I believe the Jensen brand provides a headphone jack, but more importantly, it also provides for 12v usage. I know Jenson TV's cost more but your price point should consider it. Is the a benefit to using a TV on 12v DC vs 120 AC?

    Ok...I saw passenger seat and i think problem I had looks like it's still there. The seat is just too short, not giving the support I want as my husband would drive, I would sit next to him. I hope this will be changed some day. .? The manufacturer should make seat like a passenger car seat...deeper.

    • @pleasureway
      @pleasureway  7 років тому

      Hi joneslr25, unfortunately we do not build any of our models for all seasons. Although the coach can still be driven and operated fine in winter conditions, you will not be able to use the fresh water system as there are tanks and water lines exposed to potential freezing temperatures underneath the motorhome. We recommend winterizing the fresh water system at that time. Thanks for watching!

      Some companies (UltraHeat) make heating pads but they use power and they would work best if placed on the tanks before the insulation was sprayed on the tanks.

    Does not sound a good practice: drilling through subfloor to the metal sheet may cause rusty in long term, but who cares, anyway ? Those who can afford the commercial build and afford good mechanic.
