Thank you for these, i feel much more prepared to start as there really isn't much training otherwise.
So welcome!
Lauren Craig they don't 'train' anyone because if they did, legally they would have to pay you for it like you're an employee
If your starting to build an interest in making money with mobile apps, you should try out PICKL, it's an app that pays you $5 to take pictures of products on grocery store shelves.
Can confirm: parking next to the shopping cart port is the way to go.

I’ve been binge watching a ton of your Instacart videos lately and all I can say is seriously thank you for making these kinds of videos! I signed up for Instacart about a week ago and my card just came in the mail, so I plan to start officially this week which I’m VERY nervous about. Of course starting anything new you’re not used to can be nerve-racking, but your videos are starting to make me feel more comfortable and confident about it. You make it look super easy and you’ve been answering nearly every question I have had about the app even before starting. I appreciate you a lot for this and I really enjoy your content overall so thank you! ☺️
Awe that’s great! I’m happy to help. Good luck out there! 😊
any updates? :3 thinking of doing it myself.
Steph On The Pedal can u use ur phone instead of the card?

Thank you so much for the videos. I did my first order today, and because of your videos, I knew what to do when things didn't go as planned with replacements, and refunds. I felt more confident, and prepared when shopping.
Thank you so much, and for letting us use your detailed customer message, I didn't think of that. ❤️ I'm a little less anxious about starting now.
This was super helpful! I signed up to do Instacart but I kept hesitating to start because I don't know how to begin shopping. Now that I watched the video, I feel a lot confident and prepared. Thank you for your video!! 😁
Thank you, Steph. I will be starting my first “trip” soon, a little bit anxious but your video is really helpful👍
How did it go?
This was literally the best video for a newbie, thank you so much!
You are seriously so helpful! Thank you so much for these tutorials. I'm about to start shopping tomorrow. I appreciate you! :)
Such good tips for customer service! Thank you for doing this and sharing. I just found your channel and I will be watching more. So appreciate you.
Yes, I almost always try to make a replacement, unless there is no clear similar product.
Just stumbled upon your videos as I’m getting ready to become an IC shopper 😬 just waiting on my stuff in the mail. These are so helpful, I feel more prepared. Lol.
Great info for a beginner! I'm starting tomorrow and was a little confused on what to do. Thank you :)
well thanks for the info Steph its really help me as a beginners as intacart shoppers .,. i watch some of your videos and its all great
Thank you for these vlogs I feel more prepared to start my instacart business. Very much appreciated.
Thank you so very much for your videos . I have been doing Instacart for a month. You and others on you tube have been very very helpful!
You’re so welcome!
you're awesome...your tutorial is detailed and so helpful.THANK YOU!!!
I appreciate you for putting out your valuable time to help a delivery driver like me🙏
Good Going Steph I'm trying to learn ! thank you
I had two promos plus free delivery for 6 month as a customer so I was curious about how the orders work. Good to have an insight into how it is for those doing the shopping too.
I just made $47 in 1 1/2 hours on my first batch! $26 with no tip...turned into a $20 cash tip too. You never know.
Thank, Chad and I will shop next week
Thank you so much !! This video explained everything so well.
Thanks for this! Just starting to be an Instacart shopper & this was very helpful Wish me luck!!
I just signed up for Instacart and have been watching these videos to try and get the process down before I actually go. I'm pretty nervous about doing it and am trying to ensure I don't make any big mistakes because of a lack of knowledge. My biggest concerns are running behind on time, having difficulty driving to/finding their location, and what to actually do when you get to the house. Do you just set the groceries down where they requested and go straight back to the car? Do you ever stand outside just to verbally confirm that everything looks correct? I saw something on the app about how you aren't supposed to just leave perishable items unless you have written consent from them that it's ok to leave it outside.
I started just over a week ago. I take small single orders until I get real familiar with the app and what to do. My problems stem from replacements and no item available. Once I finally was able to get support and they helped me. That took sooo long. I have insulated bags I got from the Instacart Carrot Store. Four good sized bags were about $25. When I leave bags at the door I take a picture of them and take a picture of the house number.
I always learn something from your videos. Thank you ! 🙌🙌🙌👍
Love your video! I'm new to Instacart, just about to begin. I just wanted to get some 411 b4 l start.
Your also very pretty and pleasant to the eyes 👀, so thanks for that!
Again well explained video Steph, thx.
Thank you for the insight! When you accept batches , are you only allowed to accept one batch at a time ?
Thanks for sharing this! You substituted without getting the customers approval? I use to do shipt and was concerned if I didn't get approval on a substitute that they would give me a bad review or no tip.
Thanks for this it’s very helpful I ordered more bags because accidentally I left one of them at a customers, The other one I think got stolen from me don’t ask me how. I’m going to start asking before I check out I know the other day I asked a customer about toilet paper and he was so excited but I didn’t get an extra tip but he did give me a good review so I guess it was worth it
Oh no! I bet your customer was happy to score an insulated bag. Keep asking your customers if they would like to add anything. It will pay off eventually.
Thanks alot for this tutorial..
Truly Appreciated
Great video. Thanks! Do you use the "earnings" to file your taxes?
Just getting ready to start! In my state you cannot bring in reusable bags, but they have started charging for store bags. How do you handle this? Do you take items out of your own transport bags and just sit them on the ground if they want con-tactless delivery?
You're in Denver too! Awesome!
Yeah!
I love your videos! They’re so helpful. I’m a new shopper and I’m just waiting on my card to do my first one. I’ll be glad to get it behind me. I’m 54 and I hate change....Should be interesting. 😳😂
Thank you! You’ll be okay if you start with small batches. Good luck!
I am 77 and it is okay. I try to avoid cases of water . One order I had did have 3 cases of water. I have a small dolly that hold them just fine.
Great information!!! Thank you!! 😊
Thanks for excellent content. I'm new to this and I appreciate all the information you gave
OMG your first order was 265 units? You're brave as hell.
I realized I misspoke later. My fist two orders were small and then I took the 265 unit batch as my 3rd and last order of the day.
@@StephOnThePedal Still impressive! I just started last Friday and have done about 22 batches and the largest I've done has been only 76 units (45 items). Most of my batches are around 20 items and they're super low effort and easy. And fun! I'm addicted to this Instacart gig.
What is the difference between units and items?
@@blaisebanko3487 Hi, I can answer this... Items would be like Oreo's and the unit would be like "how many Oreo's?" so say a person order 10 packs of Oreo's, the order would say "1 item, 10 units" .. 😊
@@blaisebanko3487 you can order multiple units per item
Glad you made videos. Thanks!
I loved this video! I started Instacart because of you! So, thank you!! Can you do a video doing a batch with produce and maybe a costco batches or more difficult batches. Thanks for your videos!! ❤️
Thank you! That’s awesome! I am planning to do a Costco batch still and I do have a few other batch tutorials planned.
We just gonna ignore the fact she made almost $2,000 one week?
😭 I came straight to the comments as soon as I saw that, I'm trying to figure out how to do that!
@@JonLondon210 Idk how that's physically possible. Idk what kind of orders people get, but $20 is about average for one batch for me
Instacart is only at Publix around me. And I’ve heard they only let their employees do the orders. Is this true? I really want to try and do instacart
There's another cool mobile app called PICKL, that pays shoppers $5 to take pictures of products on grocery store shelves. its really easy to use, and convenient if you find tasks when your going grocery shopping, but the downside is its only $5.
not quite sure how she has only 11 ratings for the monstrous amount of orders she's done..that's why i dont believe she really made that much..esp with a 101 speed rating, instacart would not give her very good batches with that speed...also, that customer who reduced her tip $10 would've given her 3-4 stars which would've got her below 5, so i think it's like a test screen
Your videos are super appreciated!!!
hey! i’m also located in Aurora, CO. super cool to see someone from my area :)
Hi so how do you bag the groceries? Store bags ? Or your own and what if you unload to their house take out each item out your bag
Thanks for a great video! Are the prices on the Instacart app whilst you were shopping different from the receipt price?
Hi may I ask you do you feel like you have to speed around in the car to get your goals met
Very informative video! Can you go through the self checkout with online paid orders?
When using the insulated bags, are you puting the stuff in there loosely or do u brown bsg the order first n then put the brown bag in the insulated bag?
Bring it on my friend
Thank you very much, You are really helpful.
Yay Denver I’m Denver driver as well
How do you bag it? Do you use the thermo bags?
Hi all. I did find the video helpful. I'm a newbie and haven't rec'd my card yet or shopped yet, so I'm just watching the process and studying the app for a week or so. One question I've got is about when batches come in. The batch will show location and pay. Are all jobs to be done immediately when you accept a batch? What about these Sunday a.m. batch dumps? Do they have to be shopped on that day? Do they come with a pre-sceduled day? Or are all batches to be done on the day rec'd by the shopper? Thanks in advance
What do you do with items that you cant scan. Like the vegetables?
Nice video steph....You are helping me catch up and learn the app better :-)
Happy to hear that!
How many insulated bags do you need? Thanks!
thank you for this informative video. :-) Just a Question :if I'll sign
up to do InstaCart , will they ask me what car I have or checking car
insurance, etc , or can I do that with a rented car ? Thanks
What about bagging? Do you purchase the 10 cent store bags?
That was the K.S. I used to go to when I last lived in Denver.
Hello! Quick question, so I just signed up to be an instacart driver. Say if I live two minutes from a Walmart but the order says to shop at Publix, so i have to go to the store the customer is requesting or could i go to the Walmart?
Thank you in advance! 😊
Hey Steph! Where do we see if a customer has increased or decreased a tip? I tried looking through the earnings area but don't seem to find it.
Can you pick the area you drive for?
im curious for those who worked retail grocery vs grocery instacart shopper, do u make more doing this? Thats 60 dollars with one customer, vs 70 dollars /8hr a day seems more to me.
If the shop has self checkout , can you check out there with instacart to save time and pack the bags to keep frozen with frozen and the like?
If the customer responds that they would like an additional item at the end of your trip, how would you add that on the app?
Steph, 101 isn’t a bad time at all. When you scroll ‘how am I doing’ down to time, you can click on I think it says ‘see more’ and it will show you how many are in your area and how you rate, also time on all your batches. My area went from 51 shoppers to 200 in a month. Yes, I am in Florida lol.
I thought 101 was bad. I have seen people post crazy good times in my IC Facebook group. I vlog a lot of my IC trips and that takes a lot longer. I’m sure that impacts my time a good deal.
Steph On The Pedal If you shop at Aldi you can get really good time like a 35 because it’s a small store, but when you communicate, check product for damage, check dates, ect. 101 is a good time. It’s easy to run thru a store and throw stuff in the cart running over customers... lol
Great content! Def earned my subscription!
when you deliver the groceries- do you just leave them outside always? and you just have them bagged in plastic bags from the store always?
Hello, Steph. Thanks for making these videos. I've watched a few and just signed up for Instacart. I don't have much of a "dashboard" and they didn't take my address, so I'm not sure how they are sending a card to shop with. It's July, so I'm wondering if they did away with the card? I'm just not sure what to do next here. Any ideas or tips? There's nothing in my email from them and I've been signed up for about an hour.
You are Amazing!!! You really are.
No you are! 😊
@@StephOnThePedal LoL 😄
Do you have to stay within a certain range with replacements? Will Instacart adjust the price for replacements?
You are being missed!!
Enjoyed your video. Thank you!
For plastic bags, do you buy them with the same Instacart card? Or how does that work.
Great vid. Finally did my first batches with the help of you. Also got hired by shipt and DoorDash but waiting for packages to come in the mail.
That’s great! I’m dying to get on with Shipt but I’m waitlisted. 😩
Steph On The Pedal that must be regional because I sent in the videos and then my background check came in within a week. Now I’m just waiting for the shirt and card and can start....though in some of the fb groups they’ve mentioned that shipt pays less so I’m interested in seeing more about it
I’ve heard good things about Shipt. Good luck!
Online paid order can you add items if they want or not allowed and credit card i know you can add anything to that order ..
Yikes!!!! First order was hard. I don't remember how many items, but 11 bags and a lot of stuff not in bags (milk, etc). Should I buy special bags for hot or cold items? Thank you, though, because your vid showed me how to chat with someone to help me fix this issue I'm having.
Hi Steph. Can you direct me on how to view batches on my Android before accepting? Thank you.
What is the Google app that you can use to pay for the grocery you bought? How does it work?
Are you supposed to wait for a response from the customer on whether they want your suggested replacements or not? If they do not answer do you buy the replacements or because of no response you just refund?
You look so familiar to me! Did you used to work at Joe's crab shack in Indiana?
the other day, right after my third batch, my camera came on and IC made me take a pic of myself for identification - I think they are starting to work on getting rid of the bots!!
Yah, it’s great! The selfie prompts are happening somewhat regularly.
Thank you so much!
Your videos help me a lot ❤️ Do you have to wait for the customer to review the replaced items? Or do you just get them if the customer did not respond?
You typically don’t have to wait for the customer to review the items.
I’m stuck on a binge fest of steph on the pedal AND her Facebook group!! I literally just watched both ads so she can get that ad sense 😜
Hahah! Tabatha! That’s amazing. That’s some serious support right there. I don’t even watch my ads. 🤣😂🤣
Your videos rock!
I always say no replacements because I think it will make it easier and faster for the shopper.
Great detail s I wish they are in my area
Hi A.E., love how you explain everything, so simple and easy to understand, I think I can now work up enough courage and go do my first bacht. Thx steph
Yay!! Thanks!
I hope I didn't miss it by accident if you said it in the video... but what exactly are units? I've been looking into trying instacart and other delivery services. I just found your account and it's helping a lot to get an insider perspective before I start!
If the customer wants 20 1 liter bottles of Coke that is one item and 20 units.
We know you as Steph with the new pretty do. Great to see you again. Helpful tips again. BTW, question for you: Have you ever mistakenly left the client's grocery receipt inside the grocery bag? I just did. Yout thoughts?
It will be fine. I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to give the customer the receipt when I first started and nothing happened.
@@StephOnThePedal I knew about keeping the receipt but it was just brain fart error. Haha
Do you greet the customer by the door or you just drop off the groceries and leave ?
Great job!!
Missed your vids!
Is the payment system/rate same for all states and cities?
Today is my second day and I’ve been doing good and there is no tips do you get tips the next day or no tips

Hey can someone tell me at the end of the shopping do we need to tap the card that instacart gave us at the time of signing in right ???
