the problem with this is the american right almost never does anything as a group in real life. the only time i've seen the right successfully group up and protest against something they believe in was january 6th and even that was super disorganized and chaotic. the disorganization and chaos wasn't even on purpose, like the left would do. we can hate on the left all we want, but at least they know how to group up and make noise for what they believe in no matter how incorrect it is. if anyone tried to do your plan, only a few people would actually do it and it would backfire on them because there wouldn't be enough people for the plan to work as intended.

This is true. There was a time when I thought I’d never take religion seriously and I’m very close to going back to church. This debauchery has gone too far. There are no more morals, respect or integrity in our culture anymore and I blame it on the lack of religion.

I wouldn't exactly call it "cringe." Yes, it is a "fad" in a way. The problem is two-fold:
First of all, people are equating "tradition" with *their own personal perception and/ experience* of "the past." In the case of left-leaning individuals or feminists, they assume such a life is an "oppressive" regression back to the "1950s" or earlier. Even some right-leaning individuals (like Michael) don't really understand Bible-based, traditional values. Proverbs 31 speaks of the *ideal* wife. However, (in broader context) it's really a guide for young men to find a good wife. Most pastors don't actually understand the Bible these days, let alone a majority of the average population.
Secondly (to your own point), people are largely drawn to the aesthetic of living a "trad" life and not actually believing in (much less practice) traditional values. Divorce statistics are proof of that. Jesus and Paul were clear on the topic of marriage and family (in Matthew 5,19 and Colossians 3). Furthermore, living a truly traditional life isn't about posting one's life online in order to seek validation from others or (even worse) monetize on it. Living such a superficial life is more in line with what the Pharisees did. It shows a lack of humility and understanding.
In conclusion, most people end up "doing the right thing for the wrong reasons." One's intent is just as important, especially when it comes to *discerning a path forward.* In the words of TFK, 🎶 "'Cause faith that's a rebell | I can show you the devil" and "The End Is Where We Begin." 🎶

I've been a housewife for ten years. I make my own clothes, I make very good bread and I enjoy traditional cooking fo my family.
It is only now that the twins are 9years old that I began doing youth ministry for the Church on the side and started an education to become a catechist for children.
So you see, I live quite traditional. I'd go as far as to say, I am a traditional wife.

What I'm unsure about is whether Michael is talking about him not being around in the sense that he's not speaking out to defend himself or that he wasn't around in the relationship, but it doesn't matter because either way you look at it, you are forced to take the woman at her word and when it comes to these types of accusations, I don't think it's a good idea to take ANYONE at their word. This is my point.
I can see how it can be taken that way. I've been watching Michael Knowles for about 4 years, and I know he is not that stupid to just believe all women. I know he likes to be very precise with his words, but in this case, perhaps he could've worded his point better.

I lived in Charlotte, NC for 7 years. I was firmly in the left then. I was a SAHM, of 3 young kids who I eventually homeschooled when my oldest was 5. The friends I had were either on the far left or far right who all were SAHMs who homeschooled their kids, traded clothes and chatted about fun, safe places to hang out with children. We all got along pretty well. I can’t understand for the life of me why this is weird to either “side”. Traditional lifestyle then (about 8 years ago) meant doing what was right for your family. Today it means you’re a crazy uneducated right-wing nut. What happened?! When did taking care of your family become so controversial?
That’s what I’m confused about! Why is wanting to have a family “conservative” now?

I live a trad life, my husband is the breadwinner. We share finances, responsibilities, I am blessed to raise my two boys. One son has autism, I am grateful that the lord has blessed my husband with a great job with health insurance. This ex-trad wife lost respect for herself which allowed her husband to disrespect her. Stand your ground, being a stay at home mom is full time job, demand respect and show respect to your husband.
So dumb. That wasn't the dark side of being traditional. That was the dark side of being a moron. I'm a tradwife. Before I met my husband, my longest relationship was 8 months. I averaged 4 months in my relationships. As soon as I saw red flags or that someone wasn't husband or father material, I had no problem walking away. All I had to do was ask myself if this was the environment I wanted to raise babies in. It's much easier to avoid a bad marriage from the start if you approach dating from that point of view.

I disagree with Michael Knowles. I think American tradition can be distilled down to a succinct foundational rule. The foundation of American tradition is self-sacrifice for the betterment of something beyond yourself--family, community, country, etc. Actual, true, and genuine action to make the area around yourself better. It's troubling that the current fad is to destroy everything in one's proximity. Hopefully, it's just a fad.
