This brings back wonderful memories. Our Aunt and Uncle would take 4kids (my sibs, cousin and I) camping on small island in Georgian Bay Ontario Canada. We would stay for a week and it was such a wonderful adventure. No other people, no noise, no TV, radio. We swam, read, talked and played games together. We were so very fortunate. ❤
Thank you for sharing this lovely overnight camp Bjorn, just beautiful. Lying in my ‘box’ room right now, with the window and curtains open, watching the moon (wishing I was camping) 🏕️
I love what you said at the end of the video. Living in boxes looking at boxes is getting to me lately. In fact I reached the point where I can't stand it anymore. I keep pushing myself to go in to the office.. but it's getting harder and harder to do it every morning - that push to do something I really don't want to - but must in order to get money. Without the money - you can't really survive... I'm not going to be able to grow my own food, make my own clothes and be entirely self-sufficient because I've been raised in this consumer society and I'm completely unprepared for any other type of living. I do camp out in the woods some times and walk in the countryside.... but it's only for small amounts of time. Also employers are ramping up the pressure constantly. Many of my friends and colleagues are reaching breaking point... some of them have anxiety attacks, some of them had to stop working due to depression. It's got worse recently.... I mean during the 90's and 2000's it wasn't like this... people seemed happier - even when they were working. Work life became too intensified and people getting poorer - bosses getting richer and I feel that soon the people won't be able to take it anymore. They will refuse to do it. But what comes after? I don't know.
Once people resort to shoplifting to survive, they'll end up getting housed, clothed and fed for free. Eventually you get kicked out, but they'll take you back to the hotel once you go back to survival mode.
"If we can't connect with nature we can't connect with ourselves. "That was an amazing statement. I hope more people can realize the beauty of nature, some people i know dont want anything to do with it, too dirty, etc. from where they get it i'm not sure, probably just too many conveniences in their life, and something they didnt experience much as a kid maybe
I visited Norway one summer and thought it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen, even more beautiful than Alaska! Bjorn, your outdoor videos are awesome.
Norway is FULL of rivers and islands like NO OTHER country in the world, you have at least 3,000km of this coast line, without people, only nature, but its better stay in the south, because the cold and the few hours of daylight of course, like Alaska
"We were not meant to live in boxes". A wise and proud statement. A wonderful and inspiring camp!!. I greatly appreciate your excellent videos and words of wisdom. Mike in Texas
Oh I Love that lantern attachment for sm gas tanks! Where did you find that little treasure? I couldn't find it in you camping equipment. That would be a great addition to my back pack. Much Love Brother and Thank you for all you do and share with us all!! ❤🌟❤ ❤🌎❤🌟❤🌎❤
Hello Bjorn , Nice Tiny Island , And great to see you using jokes too ! , 😂 , I have spent my day in my Box ! , Deep Cleaning three rooms ! , makes a change , I am hardly ever here , Be Well my Friend , Strength , Honour and Respect to you and the Family .
This was just great...I can not walk across my house but 2 times and I'm in extreme pain...if I could do this...I would...but so glad you can do it for me and take me places Bjorn...thanks...
I love this video! The drone footage is great! What a wonderful tiny island on which to spend the night! :) You mentioned boxes - have you noticed, very few things are square in nature? Humans make squares, rectangles - nature makes spheres and things with rounded edges, a much stronger, more durable design. Thanks for this video, Bjørn!
Which is why the ape-men bowed down before the Monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey- they had never seen a perfect rectangle before. Actually, it looks like an iPhone!
I’ve eliminated as many boxes as I can in my life. I usually only spend a few minutes a day looking at a screen. I am also lucky enough to only work about three days a week, so it gives me time to get out and enjoy nature while I still can. When I am too old to get out there, I don’t want to regret the things I did not do.
Last week , a few days in the mid 70’s , a few days of low 80’s , and one day at 86 degrees , and today , the ground is covered with snow again , typical April in the Upper Peninsula
Bjorn, thank you for the Norway you show us. Here we have fences everywhere, no trespassing sings. At our parks we can only camp at designated campgrounds Fortunately we do have a few state forests where we can find some freedom Love your Norway!
It always strikes me how a tree-line reflected in water looks exactly like an audio waveform. I wonder what nature is trying to say? Great video Bjorn.
I so enjoyed the canoe/kayak paddling you took us on. What a beautiful little island you camped on. It all made me eager to get my kayak and camping gear ready for when our provincial parks open. Nature is life! Nature is freedom! 💕☀️😎
I've been doing this type of solo camping (among other types)for many years and it keeps me sane, grounded and happy. I'm lucky enough to live in a place (far northern michigan) where there are many wild areas to do this for free.
I aprishiate you doing so much work with your video editing and footage to share your adventures out doors. And your message rings true with us. Thank You.
I lived in a remote part of the world, The Kimberly West Australia, I worked 2 weeks on 2 weeks off at a local mine site, Plenty of time off and great money living in paradise, I didn't kayak because I wasn't on top of the food chain, But living the dream, Now in a city, shockin depression, once you experience real peace, it's hard to replace.
Thanks for sharing both the adventure and your heart Bjorn!
And thank you, David.
@@BjornOutdoors No telescopic fishing rod?🤣👍

Nice scenic video of possibilities. Solo Canoeing on a lake alone with nature.
True the words that "no man is an island".
Whilst talking about freedom, your expression and smile nailed it!
