This is really beautiful, both the place and to walk there! Viewed from above it looks so cool (and I just feel like somehow knowing, why the place has gotten its name). I'm very sorry about your friend (this is always so sad, and one can do nothing about it 😔). In the old belief all warriors will go to Valhall, and so, in this case, he was there (invisibly) with you.
Well said, and I can add nothing to this other than I too am sorry for your loss Bjorn. Thank you for taking us with you. I really enjoy walking with you in the forests and the places you go to in the fjords. (edited for bad English...LOL!)...and the after thought of: Maybe it was ancestors you heard....
Two women travel up to valhal just to relieve themselves at the sacred toilet haha! This video was really awesome Björn and when you had mentioned your friend who passed I got very emotional. I realize how it is when we lose someone on the earth plane and I empathized greatly with that. And it wasn't only that which sparked my tears. It was the indescribable beauty of the wilderness which added to the serenity of feeling and the sublime nature of it all. This video reminds me the the song by Amon Amarth "Valhal Awaits Me" and for those of us pure of heart that truly does await us in a metaphorical sense. Thank you for your videos Björn 🙏🍻🤟⚔️
Sorry about the loss of a friend .. But they remain eternally in your heart..for as long as you remain on this earth . Really lovely video bjorn thank you for sharing your beautiful places in the land of your birth....
Maybe your friend accompanied you and the Valkyrie were saying "time to go" to him. My condolences. What a lovely way to remember your friend as the trip was beautiful and so peaceful. Thank you.
Condolences to you and your friend's family. Whatever lays beyond, on the other side, may your friend be enjoying the best of it. All my love to you and our World.
Bjorn, your connection to the land, your friend, and your way of life is truly awesome to watch. Those to voices you heard let you know you are not alone. Peace with yourself and your life come through this art to connect us to you and your land. Thank you. This touched my heart.
My sincere condolences. What a great way to honor your friend. I lost my father to cancer. He was only 69. But before he died, I told him about how I was really getting into your videos here on UA-cam. Specifically, I told him about your definition of a heathen: “of the land”. He loved that; he had always called his children his heathens. We grew up in high mountains hiking and camping as children. He loved how we grew up to be adults still honoring the tradition of walking the real earth, breathing in the fresh mountain air, viewing faraway horizons, camping, hiking, just being. My brother and I used to “tear out”. We would escape “civilization” and be wild in the place where we were born to be: the wilderness. We would go camping literally on a whim - no plans, no Portlandia, just instinct. We would listen bands like Soundgarden and Dimmu Borgir and go the only place in our USA state where we could see more than just a few stars at night: high mountains. To this day, we play guitar and bass once a week.
@@annalisa14 Thank you, I would like to meet you as well, Anna Lisa - it would be an honor. Bjørn Andreas Bull-Hansen has said in his videos that people have literally made friends from getting acquainted as like-hearted individuals from his comments section. As you may be aware, he’s a husband, father, bushcrafter, powerlifter, novelist heathen. I was a husband (now divorced - and single), I’m also a father, weightlifter heathen - and I’m teaching my awesome autistic son camping skills. Bjørn’s channel brings great people together.🔥 Portland, Oregon (as well as that whole northwestern territory) is beautiful - beautiful like you with your pretty face in the picture there.😉 I’ll be in Colorado for the next couple of months. I’m on my seasonal paid vacation from my longtime career. I told my ex-wife that our son will be with me all summer long, she said ok. So if you are interested in meeting me, that feeling is mutual. Colorado is also beautiful and wild, my friend. I look forward to hearing from you!
I love it! I feel very blessed to have discovered this channel & can experience a hike in Norway, something I could only dream of! Thank you, I have been inspired!! 😊🌲🦅
You're such a strong, noble soul. I'm grateful that you video tape your time outdoors. It is precious to even just see it. I'm sorry for your loss but I'm sure your friend's soul is looking upon you with love and pride. Eternal Blessings.
Wonderful adventure and stunning views. Your dear friend will be in natures harmony and unspoken peace, spirit is always alive and well. I love you, Bjorn. Love from my heart for all of your nature adventures and priceless wisdom you share with so many. Profound blessings and happiness I wish for you. Nature is truly our greatest friend of which we should all be taking huge care of.
I cannot get out in nature any more, so to see yours is very uplifting. I was very close to nature not too long ago, but that was too hard on my aging vessel as a singular lady out there. Too many gutters, and staining yearly needed to be done, and the river rose to too high of a levels, and it wasn't right for me any more, as hard as tried to make it there, I could not sustain that level of work required, so now I have almost no nature at all, and I really do love her, nature. I learn the Ogham alphabet and trees now. So keep on keeping on Bjorn, your channel is fun, thank you.
I always enjoy these little adventures with you. You cracked me up with the whole ; "I think it's chicken curry, Yep; it tastes like chicken curry" moment. As to hearing voices in the middle of the night: You did pick a spot near a bronze age burial mound after all, what did you expect :) Sorry about your friend Bjorn, I've lost a couple recently myself (jabs and all that)... I'm already subscribed to all your channels so other than when I'm away I don't miss much. Thanks again for including us.
Skal Bjorn,,greetings from the ohio woods,,it was wonderful to accompany you to Valhalla very beautiful, thanks for the drone footage, beautiful,I never cease to be enraptured with nature,,I am sorry to hear you lost your friend,,blessings to you, your family and your dogs,, Robert the Norsemen
I enjoyed this video. I would have to bring a sketchbook and a notebook to sketch the ancient trees and write poetry. I am much older now, limited to much distance to cover. These days I slowly look to see what I have taken for granted in the past. I would enjoy seeing more of this wonderful place. Thank you!
I was happy for you that you were outdoors honoring your friend's memory. At one point, though, my thought was that I was glad you were so far out in the woods where there would not be any other human, and that you were safe. But then, right when I finished that thought you heard voices. Made me nervous for you. So, I am glad you are okay and that you were able to enjoy your night out. Thanks for videotaping your outdoors excursion. Since I can no longer do anything like that, it was quite refreshing to go along with you on your walk. Beautiful views.
What an enchanting place! Those gnarled ancient firs are absolutely beautiful...they remind me of the bonsai trees but instead of being pruned & shaped by a gardner's hands, these are shaped by nature. The burial mound was impressive...I wonder how long it took the old ones to build it? So many stones! Thank you, Bjorn, for sharing Valhalla with us. And, my deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your old friend.
I was touched by the hike today. Your dear friend's passing. The special place at the ancient burial mound. It looks so well tended and respected. And the loo is so practical. A well designed and constructed shelter place. So peaceful. I hope that you found inner peace in nature 🙏
I've been watching your videos on your channels for a while, and I have to say that this is the video I have enjoyed the most of all. Sorry about your friend. A lovely place, tusen takk.
Hey Bjorn, I too have lost friends. Sadly in my field it is semi common. I feel your pain. I like to go into nature and talk with the aesir too. I am wicked jealous you get to enjoy valhalla on earth lol however thank you for sharing with those of us in America, Skal!
What a beautiful spot 👍🏻 I imagine on a clear night the stars must be amazing . Less flame /heat for the pancakes 🙂 you always make me chuckle , cheers 👍🏻🍻
That was a nice video Bjorn, thank you for sharing your trip with us. One thing, though, that was very noticeable to me as a North American woman, was when you crumpled up your dinner bag and stuffed it into the corner of your tent. And then you ate your dinner inside of your tent, albeit in the doorway. It made me think that it must be really nice to backpack and sleep in a place where large predators aren't a big concern. You could completely relax and not have to worry about taking many precautions like we do here, like keeping all food away from your tent and hanging your garbage at night. Anyway, that was just something that I noticed. Also, your tent looked so cozy with the light on inside and dusk coming....it's so nice to crawl into your bed and lay there with the night sounds around you.
Hiking to Valhalla.. This is definitely the best title i have ever seen. So, now i'm gonna watch the vid 👍 edit: The chicken curry made me hungry, beautiful drone footage.. Great vid again! Thanks for sharing, and greets from the Netherlands 🇳🇱, T.
I have watched this beautiful video so many times already. I greatly admire you going out there solo. I used to not think twice and now I am deterred by the many unspeakable things that happen for no reason. Thanks for letting us experience it with you. A fitting tribute to your friend. Sincere condolences.
Beautiful walk in the highlands and spirits from the family burial mound; very special outing! Condolences on your loss… may his adventures continue. Thank you for this video .
Thanks a lot for sharing Bjorn. So sorry to hear you've lost a friend - may he rest in peace!! Maybe the 2 ghosts you heard, were sent by him from where he is now, simply to look after you - who knows 😊 Thanks ahain and, take care!!😢
Such a beautiful video and a beautiful dedication to your friend. I am very sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing the views and the adventure! We can never get too much of that. ❤

My deepest condolences to you and your friend's family. Thank you for taking us along on this honoring adventure on this special day and to such a very special place. As usual I was captivated by the scenery. I hope to tag along on many more adventures in the future. I love the videos that you make when you show us your country. It's very beautiful there. Blessings.

I just discovered your channel and am enjoying it immensely! I'm currently living in a big European city, and feel disconnected from nature. It's nice to come along on these hikes at my desk for now. I've been to Norway once - visited Tromsø and Lofoten, where I did some hiking around the latter - and loved the country and the people. I used to live in the Pacific Northwest of the USA where I did a lot of hiking, and your videos bring back those times for me. I have a feeling I'm going to be binging on these hike videos! Cheers from Paris! Very sorry about your friend as well. I've lost a few recently. All we can do is keep on going and celebrate their memory along the way.

Sorry about your friend. It's not easy to losing a friend . They are hard to come bye. Loved the video.
I’m sorry you lost a friend BJORN; thank you for the hike in the forest. The music and the views and your efforts to make it are appreciated.
I just lost my dog and best hiking and adventure buddy for the last 14 years… I honored him the same way. Cheers.
Thank you Bjorn, you will be remembered for millennia
Bjørn goes to Valhall and hears the babbling of the Nornir the light of Odin truly blessed his life
This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, If Not the most beautiful place
This beats watching the news. Thank s for making me forget this worlds troubles for a little while
I am glad to hear that. I tend to think about life out in nature as the real life and the world out there as the real world.
Nice way to honor a late friend!❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭
