The first ever interview of the show. Castle is interviewed by Beckett, after investigations into Alison Tisdale's murder show that the killer has been copying the methods of murder from Castle's books.
Castle stars Nathan Fillion as Richard 'Rick' Castle and Stana Katic as Det. Katherine 'Kate' Beckett alongside Jon Huertas as Det. Javier Esposito, Seamus Dever as Det. Kevin Ryan, Tamala Jones as Dr. Lanie Parish, Molly C. Quinn as Alexis Castle, Susan Sullivan as Martha Rogers and Penny Johnson Jerald as Captain Victoria "Iron" Gates. Castle also formerly starred Ruben Santiago-Hudson as Captain Roy Montgomery.

@@Scottlp2 s7 had a lot of great stuff and I loved the 3XK episodes but you can really feel how the show changed. Still Nathan and Stana as well as the rest of the group pulled it to the end. Last eps were great to me

I liked this short hair look, but she really only sported it in the first season.
I wish season 1 would've been longer. Would've love to have seen more of Beckett with short hair.

OMG, how they changed! Particularly him!
You know, when people talk about the worst series finales ever, they usually refer to Dexter or Game of Thrones. And yes, those had problems. But none of them even come close to the colossal disaster that was the series finale of this show. It still pisses me off to this day that such a great series ended on such an awful note.

I got hooked up on this show, 2 months ago. Pretty late, but who cares! I love Castle. I'm on season 7 right now, but i saw that everyone didnt like the ending. I will finish the series, because i must. But, this is, i guess, a curse of all the good and long series. Writers seem to not know how to close a story, a good story and that is saying something. GoT, Lost for some people, Castle, TVD, and so many more. So unfortunate. In the end though, who cares. I will always go back to the 1-6 seasons and watch the episodes and die from laughter :P
Christoforos Psychas Another reason Breaking Bad is one of my favorites. It had a story it wanted to tell and nailed the landing.

@@christoforospsychas2092 It had a terrible ending, because it got canceled out of left field, and they rushed an ending, so it wouldn't be a cliffhanger.

Stana got married in 2015. My opinion : Fillion never swallowed that.

I just realized... judging from the guest star billings (starting at 0:59)... Ryan, Esposito, & Lanie were not originally series regulars.
[Meanwhile, at 0:32... a "series regular" that didn't even get recurring guest star consideration... I think the 1st ex-wife (Jericho's "April Green", NCIS "Shannon Gibbs") ended up with more appearances.]
The show runners hadn't decided if Ryan, Esposito & Parrish were going to be permanently cast roles.

It doesn’t. Supporting characters can be just as important as the main ones.
I really enjoyed the one off episodes where they were the main characters instead of Castle and Beckett.
Stana was bad ass right from the start.

I would say , they have been very active on instagram since years ago and they don’t follow each other on it ! Come on you cant say it doesn’t mean anything ! Nowadays every teammate co worker does that ! Plus all the rumors we’ve heard about them .,
but personally if i ever get the chance to say my opinion on it , id say nathan fillion did fall in love with her in real life but she was committed to another man and it started the whole thing :D .
maybe its me overthinking or having a feeling that their tensions raised after season 6 which was the time they got involved, there was kissings and ... .
Honestly i hate to see law and order goes on for centuries but series like castle or mentalist ..... .
Will this internet rumor ever die!? There is no proof that they hate each other. Just rumored assumptions based on the fact that the show had been cancelled. Which was when the rumors started btw. It means nothing that they don't talk about each other on or about their respective shows or follow each other on social media. At best I would say Stana was ready to move on to other work and Nathan wanted to continue with Castle. And even that is only speculation based on their contract negotiations the last two years of the show. There isn't any proof of them hating each other anywhere. I have never heard anything other than wild fan speculation spun out of control. Rumors without fact in other words.

Honestly? While mismatched crime-solving partners is far from a new trope, it helped reinvigorate it and there have been quite a few copycats since..."Lucifer" included.
Don't get me wrong...love "Lucifer" and how Tom Ellis makes you root for the Devil and his relationship with Chloe as they solve crimes. But they took one of Neil Gaiman's famous characters and used it to make a whodunit...
I noticed the same... and they got together in s5. And earlier Castle and Lucifer had something in common, as much as Chloe and Kate

They didn't hate each other
They never should have let those two get together. The last couple of years were a real soap opera.
I think by then they had lost the creator/original writer...but whatever happened,,it was a shame....just an amazing show in the beginning...and the chemistry between the two leads hadn't been seen since Bruce Willis and Sybil Shepard.
And repeat the stupidity of the writters of JAG ? Shows were the 2 leads don't become a couple after a few seasons are written by morons !
It wasn't about them getting together, it's how they developed the characters once they got together...
I prefer Patrick and Lisbon...
