There was one story where Lee had been talking to David's wife about something and had told her to not tell David about it so he could use it on the show. There's another one about David wearing a man-bun during lockdown and Lee knew the answer because they had Facetimed during the lockdown.
David's cape shows his mother had the same reaction to children outgrowing clothes as mine, I hate to think about all the paper wadded up in my shoes all those years.
That "Doctor Who" cloak is interesting. Cause it's so obviously based on Pertwee, but David is a bit young for Pertwee. He'd be more likely to have grown up with Tom Baker.
David Mitchell is an excellent actor actually. I can see him in a Beckett play, easily. Or, in any of the existentialist playwrights' plays. (Camus: The Stranger; Beckett: Waiting for Godot; Alberto Moravia: Boredom, etc) Come on West End, move!!! [I mean... Keanu Reeves in Godot? You've got to be kidding... 🙄]
Mitchell is certainly not suited to the stage. You may as well say ‘he’s funny, he could be a stand up’. He works well as a sitcom actor and panel show captain but knows his limits
David Mitchell has appeared numerous times on stage in "The Footlights" as well as touring "The Two Faces of Mitchell and Webb" and additionally in "Upstart Crow". He details his love of treading the boards in his autobiography, which the audiobook of is widely available. Cor blimey, if only there was a way to perchance, search for information on the world wide web at such websites as IMDb.
I am so in love in David Mitchell. Absolute gem in English history.
God damn I love David Mitchell's sense of humour. Between these 3 there's such contrasting styles
I like to think somewhere out there, on a train all alone, is David’s hat travelling in an endless, continuous loop around London.
what the duck do these 3 talk about when they hang out off camera? they have to keep every interesting thing that happens secret.
I thought about that too but then again they are all actors/comedians so even if they know the truth they play along as if they don't

They just lie to eachother
@@TimForTheWin12 I don't remember the man bun one! Lol!
They often defer to the team when it involves Dave and Lee. And would they really be talking about dressing gowns and hats?
Another request: We really need a compilation of every hotel-story, please. Weird how many there are on WILTY, mainly from Lee and "This is my...".
Travelling comedian, uses a lot of hotels maybe ? 🤔

You might have been an Olympic runner had you known proper footwear as a child.
The Bobble hat bit is one of my favourites 💚💙💜
I think David has an incredible sense of humour.
17:15 I love how it took him a while to think. 😅😅😅
"The heck are you talking about"?
The last one is an absolute disaster 😂

However his mother, who made the cape, is more likely to remember Pertwee.
David looked good in that really nice dressing gown.
2:42 A proper SHUT-DOWN! A perfect retort by Mitchell.
It's a cloak, actually, and I have one too 😂 fk me I love David Mitchell, always have and everything I learn reinforces it more.
Jupps laughter makes my day... as strange as it seems...
Because when Myles breaks he loses all his serious demeanor and becomes a child, it’s great.
I too have a travel dressing gown 🫣
I wonder if they had to pay a scale/union wage to the lady from the audience that came on camera for a few seconds

Oh, c'mon!
Waiting For Godot is nothing more than a wordy version of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
