Very solid review! The 997s design and color way blows the rest out of the water in my opinion and I'll definitely consider buying a pair. It reminds me of Balenciaga's $1K Triple S sneakers that I would never buy due to the price.
I think the 990v5 value at six is an interesting choice. It’s not like I disagree per se, but I think the ‘value’ is there. Maybe if the category was ‘price,’ it would make more sense. Price as a category may be good given that you’ve already mentioned quality and comfort. Could be redundant. I think when you hold the two in your hand, where that money goes is clear regardless of where it’s made. It’s amazing that these are made in America too. The 991s are made in the UK, more expensive, and not as nice as the 990v5s in my opinion. Regardless, this an excellent video and very well put together. You’re doing a great job.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if I should get the 997H as Ive had my 997S shoes for 2.5+ yrs which have the tent material at the toe. Best shoes I've ever had and now I'll be hitting up Ebay for some more!
I've been collecting new balance sneakers for a few years now and agree that the 990v5 is "overpriced" but I think it's well worth it. The comfort and design really makes the shoe great. The 997h is a great looking shoe but I've been wearing the OG 997 more because it feels better. 997 is expensive but its worth the extra price. The 997s is a new shoe that I dont have in my collection yet but will def add after watching your video. The design is so clean and unique. Must cop for sure!
How do the 990 v5 fit compared to nikes ? I usually wear a 10.5 in nikes should I get the same in NB. none of the stores near me carry them so can't try on a pair before buying.
