Honestly the seemlesscoop mod is the main reason I pulled the trigger to buy and play Elden Ring because honestly I was planning on solo playing when it goes on sale. The mod makes it feel like you all are playing the campaign correctly and it’s a ton of fun to have a squad to explore and fight enemies and bosses(not being able to respawn in a boss fight and being weakened in general play until all players rest together is a good way to balance coop play). The fact the DLC and update broke the mod made me super sad but once it’s up I can’t wait to play with my friends again
So much trouble to just get into a coop game, it sucks. Imagine being able to just start an Elden Ring game with your friend from the start and from the menu like most of normal games, that would be amazing.
@@jada_9827 you are right my friend, actually the creator of the game said that it was done on purpose (as many other things in the game) as a symbolism about how hard is to make connections in life and how lonely and hard the path that one walks is. He said something like that but I do not remember 100% right now, anyway I am very sad that we can't just get a standard coop option, amazing game that I will never play because I do not like to solo in souls games.

It's sad that they promised great co-op experience, but we still need a mod for it not to suck, most people were praising it, but I think it's still a let down on the co-op experience (base game). If I'm promised co-op I would expect to be able to play the game in co-op start to finish, no compromises or illogical limitations (souls games and monster hunter co-op design is dumb).

I love Elden Ring but the co-op system in the base game definitely needs some work, it's one of its biggest flaws imo. Couch co-op is really fun though if you have someone to play the game with. One person attacks and the other dodges. It's really chaotic but a good time.

My brother and I have been combining the co-op mod with the Convergence mod in our latest videos and it has been such a blast! It's definitely worth the effort of going through the file management! I really love what this mod does, but my big issue with it is that it completely disables invasions. Getting invaded in co-op leads to some of the funniest and tense situations, and playing with this mod robs you of this experience completely. Not to mention that the invader is supposed to serve as additional difficulty, since co-op makes the game a lot easier.
so if i progressed to messmer with the mod in my friends world can i progress myself and not mess up his game? for example we didnt kill messmer in his world but if i kill messmer by myself in my own world it will not affect our game correct so even killing it by myself i will join him and messmer will still be alive?

I believe loot is generated separately so if you pick something up your friends should still be able to loot the chest or items that are dropped, i also believe sometimes mobs will drop something for you but not your friends and vice versa

If I installed the mod can I still just launch the vanilla version of the game without any repercussions / without it conflicting with my previous playthroughs? Or would I have to uninstall the mod every time in order to play the original vanilla version? Does the mod only work when launched from the seamless co op exe and then to return to vanilla co op I just launch the original exe? Any response would be greatly appreciated thanks.
So I’ve used this mod a lot and from what I’ve experienced, there’s a separate save file for the seamless coop mod. When you start the game through seamless coop for the first time, there shouldn’t be any of your main game characters there. You can go back to your vanilla characters whenever you want by just starting the game as normal through steam. Hope this helps!

I cant speak for Convergence. But the way the CoOp mod works is it launches thru its own launcher, which puts it into the special p2p mode for CoOp that does not use official servers. With that in mind remember any characters created with CoOp are not available on live servers, they are saved separately.
