- Hi welcome back to the restoration of my Ford Escort RS Turbo. In this episode I carry on with the body work and we have a small update on some new parts I have for the RS.
I’d like to thank one of my subscribers for helping out with supplying the under body bolt kit and the new boost hoses. If you like what you see and want to grab yourself some new bits for your RS Turbos, I have add Scott’s contact details below. Please contact him as I’m sure he has loads more items for these cars.

Thanks again for all your support and I hope you all continue to enjoy the videos.
👍
enjoying your videos mate, only thing i can suggest from some experience is to either remove or cover all your glass up, the grinding and welding does them no good in the long run and will leave them covered in crap.
Been a while , but family first nice to see update
Thank you 👍
Getting there now Chris .
And thanks for the shout out 👌🏽
No worries, thanks for the help!👍
Do you do bolt kits for a mk3 escort convertible 👍
Good content Chris, I enjoy watching anything to do with the RS turbo.
If you were selling the dump valve and hose I'd be interested
Thank you for the support, I’ll bear that in mind mate.
I like this but then I'm biassed I'm his Uncle
Thank you Peter!
Good video, well explained. Even though I'm restoring a 1992 Rover 3 door GTi, the same principles are used for rear inner and outer arch replacement on both cars - so I'm watching this with great interest. I'm a bit envious as you can still get arch panels for Escort. Watching this video also reminds me that I really do need to paint the inside of my garage white to help with lighting.
When you go to weld in the inner and outer arches, have a bucket of water and a damp cloth to hand to help cool the panels down between welds. Or use compressed air to cool the welds to reduce distortion. Will that spot-welded run off normal domestic socket?
Thanks for the comment, I had a J reg 220 Gti in metallic green many years ago. It was a fast car, I wish I had kept it. My dad had a 220 coupe in red at the same time. I’ll be back working on the rear wheel arch soon so keep an eye out for that video. Thanks for the tip, I’ll have the compressed air ready for cooling the panel when I weld it in. The spot welder came with a normal 13amp plug fitted but I do have 16amp sockets fitted in the garage so may change the plug over. I’m glad you are enjoying the videos and please keep watching.👍
Looking for details of the guy that sold you the bolt kit 👍
