Hey, thanks for the video! Citric acid is way cheaper and works just as fine.. On top of that much safer for handling. Brewtools Docs even recommends it. I found 5% citric acid at 50°Celsius for about 60min is about perfect. Thanks for all your information about brewtools too! Have a nice Christmas and a happy new beer :-)
I would agree it may be cheaper for some that’s why I reference it as a good option. However acid number five is the absolute best specifically designed for this🍻
Using a 10% solution of citric acid at 140-160F requires 4+ minutes to do the job. I used some, for 10 minutes and it did an excellent job. A 5# bag of citric acid runs $15. Easily had from Amazon. I searched the normal suppliers I use and have yet to find "Acid Cleaner No. 5" at any of them.
Did you use BrewTools TSP? Just wondering, because it costs about 50 bucks a lb, making it the most expensive TSP in the history of TSP. It must be really good TSP, right?
Maybe you somehow missed it 🤷🏻♂️. In the opening shot in the background there's a large box of TSP that I believe I got from home Depot. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate the support 🍻

Can I use oxiclean on my conical?
Sure
Do I just use a regular wash cloth?
How often does one have to passivate their stainless?
I'm not quite sure to be honest, I would say once a year. After the initial passivation before you first use the machine.

@@PortlyGentleman thank you. I'll have to see if they can ship it to me. Hate wasting so much starsan on it.
@@PortlyGentleman tried calling them today. They said they don't carry it :/
Passivating the drip trays :D
