The best rewind in the history of rewinds... 5:53. Made me lol!
Thats a totally groovy house track. One of the reasons i got into the scene and fell in love with house music.
God bless you. I can't stand house
In all fairness, I liked Bad Boy Bill and DJ Dan back in the day. I also liked speed garage mixed by Robert de la gauthier, 7up, etc..
Extremely helpful explaining the diff between the verse and chorus, among other things, cheers mate
I'm fast approaching my umpteenth mid life crisis and I'm still unusual, but having just bought my first set of DDj-SB2's I've found myself shaking in the corner of my man cave whilst playing music, some of which I would never normally listen to just cos it's easier that way, I find your vids very informative and fun to boot, across the room with my cross fader... It's fuming. I'm really pleased you can count it helps me, keep up the great vids they make me laugh a lot and I'm trying to practise each lesson just after the last.... "Look @ the t*ts on that!" lol subbed :-)
this video is absorbed into my soul..iam a beginner..thanks Ellaskins..from India
Love the self dialogue
*sorry about that
Been looking at how to fi d out wot a phrase is and Ellis has helped me a lot with it and 1 funny guy thanks alot

Good One! Its fun to watch you how you explain very good phrase mixing. I learned a lot while having a laugh. Greetings from Germany. Keep it Up!
Love the passion in the knowledge you have shared through out the days. Blessings.
thanks...I watch your videos for almost two years now. I learned so much.
Also bought the XDJ-RX after your video about it. Really enjoying this kit.
+Hans Haas same here....;-)
Rx2 is better, glad I waited
Watching this exactly 4 years after you posted it!
THANK YOU FOR BEING #DETAILOriented !!!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💯💯💯🙏🙏🙏
Brilliant, great example.
I have some plx1000 decks. Do you have a tutorial how how to use sareto? I do have loads of old cds. But is this the modern way to mix now? Love your videos
usualy if im doin a 16 bar transition at the end of the 8th bar i swap the bass completely re-energising for the next track. always seems to work well...
@@leenobody3249 he means halfway through a mix he would remove the bass ( the low e.q. ) from the one.
And replace with the other tracks "bassline"
Hope that makes sense
I’m so hooked Wing your videos mate!! Thanks a lot for al of them!! 👍🏾🙏🏽
I love this guy
Tusen tack, from Stockholm:)))
Dude! I love your videos! You're great! thanks a lot for making my sets better!

you're brilliant! Wish you were the local resident
An excellent tutorial, muchos gracias
Sir, you are an awesome instructor.
Ive just had a Eureka moment!!! I will be practicing later :)
Great tutorial, you're da man!
and depeding on the track,on the outro track a 1.30 on the hpf makes it sound more natural as if it was built into the track
frightening how many djs look blank when I discuss phrases n phrasing.
Omg so many even people who been djing for years.
I think it’s more just not knowing the phrase- phrase mixing as I didn’t up until a year ago but it’s just using the 16th beat process
So well described and so funny as well.
Your so funny haaha smacks himself in the face🤣
even got the catalogue number on the tune whoa!
Pls advise about phrase eq mixing and reading waveforms Thank you
This music sounds like 80's porn 😂👍 Great channel keep it up!
Keep up the good work man.
Quality as always mate, thank you ♥️
I got a phrase. Get some technics and turn it up. But, I do like digital also
@ellaskins Why do you count 1 1 2 3, 2 1 2 3, etc. I absolutely appreciate all of your videos and they are very helpful but I think counting this way can be confusing compared to 1 2 3 4, 2 2 3 4, 3 2 3 4, etc. Is this just a habit you formed or is there some reason for this?
Each to their own
great teaching as always ty
Very helpful, thanks bro!
please stop red bull lolhaha thank for your help.
Great as always man!
That rewind 😆
Good Explaining...
Question: Wenn I am about to bring an new Track in to the currently playing, it must be after 16 Bars, or can i bring the new Track also after 8 Bars in?
Does that depend on the Structure of the track or should i listen to when a new Thing start to begin in a Track?
Ima beginner but would say listen to the changes after first chorus or drop
hahahah u're an amazing teacher!! thanx man!!!!! ★★★★★
man you cool im learning lol but I want what ya taking lol
love it!
Wow thank you Sir...... :)
hi very good
You actually caught me poking my nose 😧
You are a god, but please never have a squeaky door in the background again.
title of the song plz!
The count is actually: 1-2-3-4, 2-2-3-4, 3-2-3-4, 4-2-3-4 and so on. Nice work though
was thinking the same thing as a guitarist I am used to that way of counting
***** To each his own really, all I am saying is that I am used to that kind of counting
I do it like: 1-2-3-1, 1-2-3-2, 1-2-3-3, 1-2-3-4... IMO it's hard ro count like that :P
That's basically a 1-2-3-4 you thick shit
was gonna say the same haha
Danke Schön XD
Which mixer is he using?
Pioneer DJM 2000
😅😃😃 good m8
then fade out obviously
thank you very much
