    timed correctly and in experienced hands vocals over vocals can be done but timing and key have to be be spot on for it to work .This kind of mixing is a bit advanced but once you have the basics down then its good to explore this technique when practicing at home .Its not often that i come across vocals that will work together but when i do its great

      +Alden Padron Yup, just find your sound, spent a lot of time curating your music and looking for new tracks that excite you. I have been playing for years but only recently played in public. I realized that really working on how you want your set to flow takes a lot of prework. I'm 35 and work full time.

    BAD MESSAGE!some of my best mixes involve mixing 2 vocals,some fall in beautiful,don't over complicate,you tell by instinct and your ears,my trademark mix has one tune asking a question and the other replys,it's an amazing effect,your ears let you know if the vocals are gonna clash,suggesting ANY vocal clash or overlap should be avoided is a restricting message,I've mixed keys before by using fx or removing keys,basslines,precussion,some of my best mixes are done mixing records that most wouldn't even consider and low and behold you got a blinder of a mix,never count out anything until you've tried it,using fx,filters ect you can mix records that previously you wouldn't dream of,and many trax you think are naturar partners severely crash,I do mixes and remove and or filter keys and vocal so you can mix them...and whats all the nonsense with shades and stuff,your ears work everything out,you sound confusing in an attempt to sound clever,you don't have to conjure up images,just listen to the tracks and mix them,if it's an egregious clash move on,if not you can use effects if you want a certain mix that has key issues use your fx,and your ears,yer making a simple thing sound needlessly complex

  • @Ravinstomper
    @Ravinstomper 8 років тому +2

    @alden. sorry but you can't just decide to become a dj overnight! it should be a long enjoyed hobby first then move into profession which takes years. You need to have a passion for music and entertainment and lots of hard dedication. if you have just seen someone dj and thort I'll have ago at that then you will fail. If you want to start out and build a reputational profile then that's fine do it by all means but if your doing it just for 'fame' then dont.
