    Try using a 8 bar loop as a ruler, on and off and you know the size of it.

    • @CompleteDJMethod
      @CompleteDJMethod  7 років тому +3

      Hey Jota! Thanks for your input! Yup, you can most def rely on the technology count bars for you if you like! Great tip for those who already understand basic music theory. 😊 Although, when people are first starting out, I always teach the foundations before the "shortcuts" so that they understand the methodology behind what the technology is actually doing.
      This basic lesson is intended to teach the foundation of basic music theory. This way people will know actually how to count beats, bars & phrases to locate the "one" manually regardless of what gear they are using, so they don't need to rely on the technology to do it for them. 😉

    Yesterday I bought 2 of your courses for my NVII, and I have an idea for you. What if you design a series of tutorials where you show techniques , tricks on transitions, correct uses of efects, advices, etc. Will be great don't you think? there is a lot of guys like me who search everyday for a good tutorial like yours but short on good explanation. Cheers

      Hey Carlos! Thanks for your awesome comment and glad you are enjoying the 2 NVII courses! You are in luck because what you describe is exactly what's already in the works and coming your way ;)
      The 2 courses you mentioned are just the preliminary basic courses to get the beginners off the ground learning the gear features & intro to music theory etc but I'm about to get super advanced with the practical instruction.
      Here is a link to the description of the entire Complete DJ Method on Groove3:
      www.groove3.com/collections/shortee-dj-method
      Each piece of gear has a full series of in-depth courses (basics to advanced) associated with it. These are the descriptions of each gear series:
      TURNTABLE SERIES:
      www.groove3.com/collections/dj-shortee-turntable-series
      CDJ SERIES:
      www.groove3.com/collections/dj-shortee-turntable-series
      SERATO CONTROLLER SERIES:
      www.groove3.com/collections/dj-shortee-serato-controller-series
      TRAKTOR CONTROLLER SERIES:
      www.groove3.com/collections/dj-shortee-traktor-controller-series
      (*I may also be doing a Rekordbox Controller series as well, but that's not confirmed yet.)
      SO-- all 4 of those gear series mentioned above have comparable courses to the first 2 basic NVII (aka Serato Controller) courses you mentioned.
      All of the gear series also have beginning, intermediate & advanced mixing courses on the way that are all packed with TONS of practical instruction, tips & advice to build on what you've already learned initial basic courses.
      In fact, I just finished filming the Serato Controller DJ Mixing Beginner course last month and it will be released in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for that one!
      Then after ALL those mixing courses, I will then move on to releasing extensive instruction in 2 more practical technique series for those of you who wanna learn beginning to advanced turntablist tricks:
      SCRATCHING SERIES
      BEAT JUGGLING SERIES
      Then, on top of ALL that, I'm also considering introducing yet another series of GENRE SPECIFIC master class courses for those that really wanna dig deep on DJing specific genres of music.
      So yeah, all that's coming :) It's just taking me a little while to get there because I have to teach each course curriculum in a way that's specific to each piece of gear and I'm just now finishing up the basics in each gear series.
      Another words, the Complete DJ Method is a MASSIVE curriculum and what you have is just the beginning but just know that tons more practical technique instruction is MOST DEF on it's way!!
      Thanks so much for your interest & your suggestion, I hope that clears things up a bit ;)
      Needless to say, I think you'll be really stoked about what's in the pipeline and I'm really excited to get it all done for ya! Stay tuned for what's to come and plz feel free to keep in touch with me here on UA-cam :)
      Cheers!

    How can you see the counter on your nomark nv 2?

    • @CompleteDJMethod
      @CompleteDJMethod  6 років тому

      Hmm, I don't really understand what you mean by :counter" -- But if you want to learn all about the Numark NV and NV|| you might wanna check out the full course I created that explains the entire controller: www.groove3.com/tutorials/The-Complete-DJ-Gear-Guide-to-a-Serato-Controller-Numark-NV-and-NVII
      The course is super affordable (only $24.99 ...and even cheaper if you're a groove 3 member). I also offer a few of the lessons from that course for free on this UA-cam channel if you wanna check it out before you buy it.
      Hope that helps!
