it seems like most of the time water is murky and cloudy cause of bogs. here in MN there is no such thing as somewhat clear river or lake water. If you put goggles on and go under everything will be a reddish brown getting darker the further down until you can't see. It's all that carbon in bog stained water the particles are so fine it doesn't' settle. That's why Red Lake is called Red Lake cause the sun can make the bog stained water appear red in the right conditions. Its like this with every body of water that has watershed from a wetland.
A lot of of rivers are murky by nature, here in the UK we have a lot of peat in my rivers so they're almost jet black when you look at them. It's rare to have crystal water like this

The word swastika comes from the Sanskrit svastika, which means “good fortune” or “well-being." Old sewing machines do not have a high value because there were so many of them and people took good care of them. Result: there are a LOT of them out there in great shape. That one you have is only good for a boat anchor.
Those Singer sewing machines were the top of the line back in the days. I still know people who love to work on them, because they are just a piece of art. We even have a shop in my town who repairs them. I would definitely clean it up and see how it turns out.
I would suggest, in regard to the sewing machine, if it is a Singer sewing machine, that you contact a retailer that still deals with Singer parts and equipment. They may be able to tell you more information about the model you found and when it was made. I know there is a place in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania called Sunbury Sewing Center that still deals with Singer machines. You should be able to find them easily via Google. Back in the late 1960s, Singer had a slogan that went, "What's new for tomorrow is at Singer today." Maybe it should be changed to "What's new for tomorrow is found in the river today."
Those treadle sewing machines are easily available at any antique shop. They have almost no value, maybe 50 bucks. It would be pointless to invest time in restoring it when there are hundreds available for sale in almost mint condition. There are at least 50 for sale on ebay right now.
@@jimthesoundman8641 still makes for good UA-cam content. I’ve seen plenty of youtubers restore worthless junk for satisfying videos. Even after restoration it’s barely worth anything but that video makes them money and there are plenty willing viewers

The Singer Sowing Machine can be restored. An internet search can locate a pro for you. I wouldn't know the cost but it might be worth it for you to check it out. Also please stay safe.
You should take the sewing machine to a youtuber who restores things! I have seen a bunch of people on yt restore computers and old tech! (If you do can you tell us who you sent it to? I would love to see the process of it being restored if even possible)
If I still had a big house the sewing machine would be a great decoration in my sewing room. We down sized big time, check some of the craft and quilting stores.
Talk to the Historic Preservation office in the State about the "vessel". From the looks of it, it could be either the remaining hull of a ferry boat used before the old bridge was built or a pontoon for a pontoon bridge. I a pontoon it could date from the Civil War. Either way could be something the State would be very interested in.
You need to make that "WOO" sound you make into a ringtone or text notification..lol. that sewing machine I would clean up. Would make a cool conversation piece..I'd buy it, but I collect antiques. Being a fisherman, when I see you get rods, reels and baits I always get a bit jealous. Good one guys!
Send the sewing machine to a UA-cam Restoration Channel. If it is really old. That would look awesome to see in good shape again. I WANT TO KNOW HOW OLD IT IS!!! 😀👍
the items you picked up at around 3:45 look like clay divali lights (called deep or divo) they hold ghee with a small cotton wick and are often set afloat on water during divali (hindu festival of lights/hindu new year time) 🙂 source: my culture 🙂
That barge was big enough for at least two horses, it was probably on a rope between the old bridge area. The sowing machine would be a cool electrolysis transformation! I'm 90% sure the old cast iron isn't damaged, especially if its old American steal with 5%nickel.

@nanalee gage, I've thought that several times also!
@@laurie4275 When somethings tossed in a river, finger prints degrade very quickly-like only a few hours-so that’s a non issue.
I often think the same way, especially a bag! I’d like to know if any of those bottle were still full? Lol we’re the pearls real or fake? I’ll take the real ones!! 😂
@@laurie4275 fingerprints do not last long
You can soak the sewing machine in plain white vinegar. It's great for old tools, to get rust off.
& it's cheap
OMG! The first thing you picked looked like some kind of explosive device. Then you tapped it on a rock😀.👌Those small clay bowls - people use them as ashtrays.
That's the Hwy 20 bridge, that crosses the Chattahoochee River, between Cumming and Buford Georgia. They replaced the older bridge with the one seen in the video 5 years ago. The big "boat" thing were panels they construction to hang under the new and old bridges as they worked on them.
That is true about the Swastika. Even today you can find it on products in Korea. It was always good but then the late 30's early 40's changed a lot of lives.
The item you find @ 1:26 is a carbide tooth they use on the drilling auger for cutting the holes down for the bridge piers. As they wear or break they drive them out and replace them. They spin in a socket and are sacrificial. Look up IC Welds channel videos.
Thank you for calling the police!
Thank you ❣😊
I always wanted to dive. But I'm scared to death of seeing a body ! A fear from childhood!
Also, your friend said you'd be cleaning the river as well.
That's wonderful 😊 ❣
I’ve been diving for 20 years now! I can assure you I’ve never found a body. I found a tire full of cocaine but no bodies.
If you take that turtle shell and clean it up inside and out real good you get a polish and polish the top they come out looking really nice.
Wait a sec while I go put my dive mask on so I can understand what you're saying. LOL Beautifully clean water! Your channel is overtaking all other dive channels.
LMAO
The big piece at the 6 min mark is the actual platform to the bridge. It is the old bridge that at one time spanned that section. It was pulled or knocked off and allowed to sink.
That was a fun day. Lots of cool finds. Great video. I had a lot of fun. Can’t wait to do it again.
New sub! GRB
Wait a minute, I don't know why!! Why can't you remove certain things from the water? You just said "you know why" but... I don't. Please inform me 🤔 I just found this channel and its introduced me to an entire new genre of YT video and I love it!! Great work, you've found some things that have brought closure to a lot of families. You're the hero we didn't know we needed so badly!! ❤️
WB Locks are used in Industrial Applications: We use them at our Power Plant and Substations. The lock is made of non-ferrous metals to prevent corrosion...
Object at 4:41 looks like the bottom of a little feeder or waterer for baby chicks, fill up a mason jar with feed or water place bottom on jar and invert.
What a clean river so nice to know they still exist
It's probably already been suggested before but maybe there's a UA-camr who does restorations you could team up with? A lot of them try to pass off fake stuff as real restorations so to have one do the stuff you give them, real, proven stuff, that would be really refreshing to see man!
Thanks for what you guys are doing!! Making our rivers cleaner one dive at a time! Awesome!
His reactions to finding things is so giddy it makes me smile!!
If anything, thank you for cleaning up our waters. You are awesome! I clean forested areas.
GREAT FINDS GUYS!! Another Fantastic adventure Nug. Love them Georgia River Boys Too!! Didn't see Gavin though. He must be schooling it.
Nug Glad you are diving and doing videos with other people that Britain you’re the man good luck and keep the videos coming
No, I don't know why you can't retrieve the guns from the river 0:42. I've seen a few of 'Depth's of History' channel magnet fishing episodes when Britain & his cohorts find guns all the time (and then notify local PD's.) Nug, why can't you do the same? I am in Oregon and am not aware of any laws that forbid retrieving firearms from the water. Thank you for all of the great work you & your entourage do to clean up waterways everywhere : ) The river seems quite clear on this day and it's rather fun & interesting to see how you find things. On days when the water is roiled up sometimes it's too spooky and I fast forward. Today's video is terrific. Kudos
I'm not sure what your talking about but most of my dives are with Britain and we remove ALL the guns we find and turn most of them over to the cops.
@@exploringwithnug early in the video you talked about something that could no be removed...he must have thought you meant guns...but perhaps you meant mortars and other explosive devices?
@@exploringwithnug That's the same thing I was wondering, because you said you can't remove any artifacts. What's specific artifacts or relics and why can't you remove them? This is the 1st of your videos that ended up on my feed and the sub.
You guys are amazing I love what y’all do! :) congrats on almost 60k
Thank you so much!!
I was so excited when you pulled the singer out of mud, it’s the most beautiful thing ever!!!
Sewing machine cleaned up would definitely be yard art. I have seen several of them used as such in my area. Good job on the stolen pack.
The sewing machine looks like a treadle one. I have one. ♡
Am I the only one who smiles and gets just a tiny bit excited when they find a darned old golf ball!! ♡♡♡
Love the clay pots. I want to magnet fish the lake I live at in the near future. I do a find a lot of cool items that I flip on my UA-cam channel, but mine are usually found above ground lol
🍿😎👍 I like that I can understand you underwater. Usually it's blub blub blub🤔✌️♥️♻️
Wow @1:47 hehe it's really time to get new wetsuit gloves Jeremy! :-P Nice diving video and cool finds as always! :)
You guys were right in my neighborhood. I guess that had to be the Chattahoochee River. Good job guys. Subbed
Awesome. Thank you. Yeah we was up in Cumming
Great video, you do a great job cleaning up the waters, keep it up as I really enjoy watching.
There’s a guy on UA-cam that restores old things. He’s very talented. Maybe send the singer to him. I don’t recall his name. But, I’ve seen him restore a lot of ww2 and Vietnam war era lighters.
The boat was probably for an old ferry crossing before the bridge was built or when it washed out.
That's hwy 20 bridge in my hometown of Sugarhill.
You guys should go to Settles Bridge as well.
Thanks for all the interesting videos.
Always like the fact that all the scuba channels I see you all do wright by callling the police. Cheers to all you divers.
Stay safe stay well
The singer sewing machine is likely dated around 1880 - 1910. My family in England has owned Singers for my whole life. it is a very British thing to have around.
The water was so clear!! Beautiful! That gigantic thing you found was it all wooden? Could it be part of the old bridge? Regardless of what it is, it’s a relic! 😂
Awesome video! Only suggestion if possible would be to add captions. It’s really hard to understand when you’re under water :(
You state that you are at a new bridge site. Is this also a different river than you usually go to? The water is so much cleaner! As always, I really enjoy your videos.
***I HAVE WATCHED SO MANY VIDEOS OF OTHERS THAT CLAIM THEY PICK UP TRASH AS WELL. YOU MY DEAR ARE THE FIRST PERSON THAT I HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN PICKING UP THE TRASH AND PUTTING IT IN YOUR BAG. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. TELL YOUR FRIENDS (YOUR IN THEIR VIDEO'S) THEY NEED TO ACTUALLY SHOW THEY PICK UP TRASH AS WELL. THANK YOU AGAIN...LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS...Marie***
@M there is loads of other divers that pick up trash and they were removing it when Nogs wasn't until loads of us got at him to collect it and dispose of it correctly.
Old sewing machines do not have a high value because there were so many of them and people took good care of them. Result: there are a LOT of them out there in great shape. That one you have is only good for a boat anchor.
Wonderful finds and thank you for sharing your video with us all ❤ your friend Shirley from new Bern, north Carolina USA 😮😊😊
Hello From CANADA ! Love the show keep it up !
Thanks! Will do!

Finding that golf ball right off the bat took all the pressure off of this dive.
Wow, water is so clear.
Those Singer sewing machines were the top of the line back in the days. I still know people who love to work on them, because they are just a piece of art. We even have a shop in my town who repairs them. I would definitely clean it up and see how it turns out.
I like how the cops just free diving in full uniform in the thumbnail 🤣
That was a cool sewing machine. It is also good to hear there was no faul play involved with the lady, other then stolen bag.
Amazing the clarity of the water
Good instinct on calling about that bag/purse
I didn't realize how fun it is to watch Nug scuba diving. He's funny
Please send that sowing machine to one of the big restoration youtubers. I’d love to see it restored
That would be neat
Those treadle sewing machines are easily available at any antique shop. They have almost no value, maybe 50 bucks. It would be pointless to invest time in restoring it when there are hundreds available for sale in almost mint condition. There are at least 50 for sale on ebay right now.
@@jimthesoundman8641 still makes for good UA-cam content. I’ve seen plenty of youtubers restore worthless junk for satisfying videos. Even after restoration it’s barely worth anything but that video makes them money and there are plenty willing viewers
@@jimthesoundman8641 ×
@@jimthesoundman8641 What he said...but, yes, it's cool to find any machinery!
I have seen people turn old sewing machines into mini tractor yard ornaments.paint it John Deer green and add wheels. Great clear water you got to dive in.
Great video Nug. Love watching you dive. ❤️❤️
Cool finds love the candle holder I'd clean up the sewing machine made make a garden thing out of it .. I was given one like that but in better condition and it still works
What is the time stamp on the candle holder ?
BEST video of the day !
That boat is a 'punt' propelled by very large poles, ala gondoliers, Oxford punts.
Great finds today Jeremy. I love the old sewing machine.
It's good that you guys recognized that bag and ID situation was hinky and had it checked out just in case.
You solved a theft. I thought you were going to find a whole place setting of dishes.
AMAZING clarity on this video!!
What a nice field of view you got there...if we have like 5 Meters you can call yourself very lucky
Awesome, video Jeremy. 🌷🌷🌷
Get the Sewing Machine to work and you can make your own Dry Suits...
the items you picked up at around 3:45 look like clay divali lights (called deep or divo) they hold ghee with a small cotton wick and are often set afloat on water during divali (hindu festival of lights/hindu new year time) 🙂 source: my culture 🙂
That sewing machine was crazy 🤪. You look like u need new gloves lol🥶
That barge was big enough for at least two horses, it was probably on a rope between the old bridge area. The sowing machine would be a cool electrolysis transformation! I'm 90% sure the old cast iron isn't damaged, especially if its old American steal with 5%nickel.
Cool finds ! Cool video ! Keep em' comin' ! 👍 🇺🇸
WOW 😳 how's the water so clear?? Definitely NOT in our Houston Bayous! LoL 🤣
Right?! It's like a mile from the dam. Usually the water thats closer to the dam is clearer.
Cool Singer sewing machine. Great dive and recoveries.
Wow - I’ve Never seen water that clear! Amazing!
