@@ValRuca I was seriously tempted to order from Newegg, but decided just to wait for the monitor to come in stock at Scan UK, just in case there were any issues and I needed to return it.
Mine arrived today, going through the settings now. The "screen saver" and "auto logo brightness" only seem to lower overall max brightness (by quite a lot on the Screen Saver setting) i'm leaning towards leaving them off since image retention is supposed to be addressed by pixel cleaning and the Screen Move which i don't mind having on. Plus this thing has a 3 year warranty covering burn in etc.
@@xellestar yeah, I turned off screen saver as it dimmed the image quite a lot. I left auto logo brightness on as its effect is less pronounced. Overall I'm really liking the monitor - it was worth the wait.
@@ijmcd curious do you see much difference switching between Gaming HDR / Cinema HDR / Console HDR / DisplayHDR? It's hard to tell with DisplayHDR because when you change to/from it the monitor blacks out for 5-10 seconds which is annoying. But toggling the other 3 while in a game it didn't seem to change anything, not even a little.
The Screen Saver setting seems to dim the edges of the screen immediately when enabled. Tested this in games, video, and even on the desktop. Anyone else see similar? I’m on the 103 firmware fyi
@adamfisher869 Hey man just got this monitor, have you noticed if you enable VRR in the Asus OS, it shows enabled. But if you go the the info tab in the Asus OS, it shows as off???
Thanks a lot for the video! Really helpful, just set mine up now. One question I had was about the gamevisual setttings, they seem to change the colour and brightness quite a bit. TFTCentral - or anyone else! - do you have anything to add about these?
Those are just various preset modes but yes they will change appearance a lot. If you’re following our settings guide, don’t use those modes, use the one we recommend in the video
I have weird issue when toggle HDR on which the near black in some scenarios will be raised, it is happening in most dark games, it is not vrr flicker because I tried to turn off G-Sync and it is still happening, can you please check that? I have a video I uploaded on reddit showing what I'm talking about.
Would you know if there be any cheaper WOLED variants this year? I was reading a lot about cheaper QD OLED 165hz variants comming out in September, AOC AG326UD and MSI 321UP which come at great pricing, for example msrp for aoc one is 850$. Are there any cheaper WOLED variants in the making, with lover refresh rates like these? I somehow always prefered LG panels, find them softer and more pleasant for the eye, but here in CZ, LG 32gs95ue is 1500€ and ASUS PG32UCDP is 1650€.
I order the monitor a week ago. Should I bump up the saturation from 50% and if so should I do so from the OSD or from the Nvidia control panel? It’s justs that in comparison with the PG32UCDM it seems like it lucks some vibrant because of the panel type.
I returned the UCDM due to lack of brightness. Is this one any better in terms of overall brightness? Like snow maps and sunny days? I really want to try one but if it’s almost the same as the UCDM than I probably will wait to see what 2025 brings.
@LexLutha ok do you remember which HDR mode you used for that on the UCDM, and was it before or after they did the firmware update to offer the brightness boost in HDR?
@LexLutha ok thanks. You’d find the P model brighter then generally as the old Console mode on the M model before they updated the firmware was quite dark in high APL scenes like many “peak 1000” modes on QDOLED panels. tftcentral.co.uk/articles/testing-hdr400-true-black-and-peak-1000-mode-brightness-on-new-oled-monitors
hello running FW105, running HDR on in windows, when i go ito HDR Setting on the monitor, i do not see "adjustable HDR" instead i see Brightness adustable (toggle) and also Dynamic Brightness boost, i still do not have access to the color option in the monitor settings
Maybe they’ve altered how that’s accessed. The brightness adjustable option is the one you want to enable to allow you to bump up to full brightness for HDR
I've saved up to this monitor a few months now, and i'll get it when i get my next salary.
Definitely going to use this to set it up
Was waiting for this. Thanks
Very helpful. I've just pre-ordered this monitor from Scan UK, so will use this guide to set it up when it arrives.
Wanted to preorder with them too but ended up ordering mine from Newegg in the US. Arrived in 5 days and worked out cheaper 👌🏻

useful! thanks for that!
Can you guys address uniform brightness settings please? Is it any safe? Its annoying when screen changing brightness with i.e maximising windows
Absolutely it’s safe. I’d def recommend using that mode for SDR and desktop applications
I just got mine today, but I can’t seem to find the firmware update. Are you able to give me the direct link so I can update the “P” model. Thank you.

Hey there TFT Central.
I Wish and hope you will do a Video just like this for the PG27aqdp ✨🙏
We will. It’s recorded but just needs to be edited and uploaded soon

If you were going to do that I’d prob do it from the monitor side of things instead of NVIDIA control panel

When do you think we’ll start seeing high resolution monitors like 5120 by 2160 and above?

do you have for LG 39GS95QE-B and the 34“ version? They should act same is my guess?
No we haven’t reviewed those screens I’m afraid
do u have best settings for Asus 39"?????
Afraid not
Great, but why is my ‘Anti-Flicker’ menu greyed out and not adjustable?
have you got VRR disabled?
@@tftcentral Yes, the anti-flicker menu is greyed out and cannot be set regardless of whether I enable or disable VRR.
HOW DID YOU MAKE IT INTO hdr ?
Enable HDR in your OS when HDR is enabled in the OS, the monitor show HRD ON and then you can change HDR settings
IMAGE IS BLACK FOR ME
