Scout is the first Cruiser I actually like the look of (I'm traditional biker). My only worry is that teeny-tiny fuel capacity. Please Indian, do a bigger tank option.
I have a 23 Scout Bobber and I daily my bike. I dread traveling anywhere over an hour ride. I went for styling over comfort but now that I’ve seen these new models it’s a serious consideration.
Just got through break-in miles on my new 2025 Super Scout. I concur with the seat width. I'm coming from a Kawi 900 Custom and that seat is very comfortable. I can tell this more narrow, and I am quicker to need to take breaks for circulation. Definitely some weird idle issues during break-in, but it has basically cleared up after first service. I think the miles per tank being on the short side is pretty clear to me too in comparison. We'll see if they provide any updates to speed up initial tech boot, because it takes just over 30 seconds right now. I largely love the bike, but it certainly has a few areas of improvement. Getting a seat upgrade is my first priority though.
Yes I’m buying one. Ive been building my own, trying to keep the price down. I did notice the limited price jumped from $13.5K up to $13.7k. I’m a new rider, and never ridden before, I haven’t seen any reviews with the floorboards instead of pegs and none of the fairing options on bobber. $500 for sport quarter fairing, $1k for batwing fairing sheesh but i think it would look badass. But the more i build the bike to what i want, i can get a used Chieftain/Street Glide Special for nearly the same price….
i like the fenders on the classic but I'm not into the spoked wheels and chrome i know they were going for the classic look but I hope they'll do a blacked out version with mag wheels in the future
Exactly. Indian really goes to extremes with fenders. Old chiefs had those ridicoulous fenders covering most of the wheel and now the fenders are barely there (except classic scout). It doesn't even look good. Just find a happy medium Indian ffs. Also I realy don't like those fat tires. They kind of work for the bobber, but the classic would look so much better with a bigger rim and smaller front tire. Take the small front tire from the sport scout and the fenders from the classic and you get the perfect scout. Or how much better would the chief look with bigger fenders.
I called Indian about the classic not the only one complaining about the look asked about switching the spoked wheels for mags but it's only designed for spoked wheels it would be expensive to modify it for mags
I too am a fan of the classic look with full fenders, but do not like spoke wheels, too hard to keep clean. And what is up with the 101 being the only one with inverted forks. My Polaris Victory Cross Country has them and Victory bikes first had them in the 2000s.
It would be real nice to hear the engines from these bad boys. A little less talking and a lot more exhaust, shifting, and road noise. This is like watching the Blue Angels without the jet engines...
A great video. I think there's going to be a challenge for Indian though, as the 101 as I understand it will be about $7,000 AUD cheaper than the Sport Chief? Power to weight ratio a very compelling package, with the twin discs and decent rear shocks too. Interested to hear what others think?
In addition to the new bikes, can you comment on the new accessories? Saddle bags, seat, controls, etc are all interchangeable across the ‘25 models. Is that right? Feels like a part of the story that’s getting missed. Indian has taken big steps to make the platform more customizable.
Beautiful bikes, but the electronic dash is a deal killer for me. Ill take an analog speedo and tach, foremost. If there's an additional info center, fine. But give me analog!
@mforganics4985 Because I'm old, dammit! Call me a Yestertecher, but a digital dash just doesn't have the esthetics of a nice analog dash. And digital is going to break, short, wear out, cease to function long before a decent analog instrument. Digital sucks!!
@@Ch-ui6mw oh ok I was wondering because I have an analog, a 1998 Suzuki GSX 750. I was thinking digital because of reviews (I'm new to riding) but I also like things simple. I was wondering if it messes up when wet and stuff like that.
@mforganics4985 Well, in my opinion, it certainly has the potential to have problems with moisture, but I'm sure the manufacturers will deny that. Good choice on your first bike, by the way!! Nice!! I think the potential for problems with digital may lie more with vibrations, but certainly corrosion caused by moisture has got to be a factor, too. Congrats on your bike! Ride safe, ride frequently!
I hear people are having trouble with 101 scout with slow screen uploading, and when it's idling, it sounds like it wants to bog out. Or and fueling the tank
If you go to a dealership you can customize and add all of that I’ve been looking relentlessly into this line up cuz I can’t afford a cheiftan and the dark horse doesn’t look as good IMO
Only at the Scout versus Sportster level. The Chief lineup is lacking compared to the Softail and in touring Harley knocked it out of the park with the new Street Glide and Road Glide.
@@andromedachnothing against Harley but the only lacking thing in the Softail vs Chief lineup is the Chiefs don’t have as many versions which makes sense because this particular Chief lineup hasn’t been around very long. As far as the new Road Glide and Street Glide, the only thing it really has that could be considered better is the infotainment system. Everything else is still lacking. Suspension, power and overall handling is still slightly behind its Indian counterparts. The CVO’s are more on par with the Dark Horse, Limited and Elite but the standard models, not so much. All of them whether Indian or Harley are great bikes but when it comes to overall performance, Harley is still a little behind the curve. At this point it’s more of which one you find more aesthetically pleasing because neither brand is crushing the other in performance. Which is a great thing for us, the consumer. More to choose from is always better.
I've been looking for this exact video! Thank you. Was up in the air about the Bobber or Sport, but now it's bobber or 101. The paint on the 101 isn't my style though. Wonder if I can just customize a bobber with 101 suspension and tune 😅
You can ! The 101 tune cost 300$ on any 2025 scout . The suspension is more expensive . Like you i want the equipement of the 101 , but i prefer the look of the bobber
I saw a used Indian Bagger race bike for sale for $90,000.00 it would be fun to Terrorize Harley's with one of them. I am 5'4" with short arms and short legs. I sat on a Scout with 26" seat height. Putting my feet flat on the ground was easy, but reaching the forward control pegs was not . There are Tall and short people in the world. Looks to me like a lot of short women have purchased Scouts.
Should be great for you, super low seat height, as far as I am concerned the scout could fit to about 6 feet comfortably. The chief is bigger but still good for slightly shorter riders I think
Very complete review I liked it. Only thing that pissed me off was the hand talking while riding. It is disturbing, and hard to follow what you say, because I am thinking about your hands that should stay more on the handlebar 😂
@ kinda. got my bike in september and not a new bike either. i got an unsold american bike that was on the showroom floor over a month so it wasn’t scratch free like a new new bike
Classic is definitely the best looking... only one I really like enough to consider. I'd turn it into a touring machine with a sissy bar, saddle bags, and a fairing.... wish it had a bigger tank though. Your number 1 is my last place... and your last place is my first place... lol... no thanks on that 101

See many cruiser riders on the road here in britain. never do they evan acknowledge me when I wave salute or nodd my head... Is that your prejudice? do all harley riders hate all other types of bikes? also been cut off at roundabouts by harley riders, and most seem to wear just a tshirt of waist coat.. do any of you wear full gear? I guess having grazes etc on your legs, arms or backs are a badge of honour... yet not really honourable.. its not what you ride etc etc.. dual disc brakes... wow is that not odd...? cheers from sw uk.
Got my 2025 Scout Bobber on order and delivery is on the 14th!
Congrats on your purchase! How's your first week of riding it been?
@bradmacklin7265 That is so awesome!! Nice choice!!
Scout is the first Cruiser I actually like the look of (I'm traditional biker). My only worry is that teeny-tiny fuel capacity. Please Indian, do a bigger tank option.
That's a big problem. I'm gonna get mines modded
Get a chief then
@cpuuk I prefer my scout got it down to 490 lbs more nimble
45 min video went by fast. The sign of a good job.
I have a 23 Scout Bobber and I daily my bike. I dread traveling anywhere over an hour ride. I went for styling over comfort but now that I’ve seen these new models it’s a serious consideration.
Shock upgrade.... Way cheaper than a new bike... Simple fix...
10 inch risers on the 101 with the bobber bags and you're good
Not to mention the windshield can be added to all models. Can literally build your perfect scout almost.
Update: i said almost because you can’t option the batwing quick release fairing on the Sport Scout. Which is what i would prefer.

Did a test ride of the Bobber myself and stalled twice getting out of the Parking lot😅😅

What's the vibrations like on the 101...as you mentioned the vibes on the sport?
I really like the new Indian Scout lineup. 2 downsides though: price and exhaust sound.
Not bad….but show the Chief line….for comparison…

The 101 is $30,000 in New Zealand
Indian is so much better than HD in every way.
as much as i wish that was true...

What are your thoughts on having mini apes on the 101?
My 2015 Scout hurt my back. The newer scout may not be better.
I'M DOUBTING BETWEEN THE SCOUT (I LIKE BOBBER, AND 101) AND THE HARLEY STREET BOB, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO
looking forward for my 101 in the end of july/sometime in august (hopefully because polaris doesn't seem to send bikes when promised to sweden)
Did Polaris fail you?

what is the cost of the Roster 101
Assuming you meant "Scout 101", it's $17k.
Indian's take on a metric take of a Harley
I hate the exhaust covering up the engine
Agreed. I'd rather see a pipe on both sides, or the rear pipe joining behind the engine instead of in front.
Dyno the 101!
added performance" yep think I would pay the extra.. But no you do not mention the performance figures...
These are fine bikes for $10,000 MSRP. At $17,000 they're probably just about the worst deal you can get for a new motorcycle.
Can always find something cheaper, but don't want to buy something crappy that I don't even like just because its cheap.

Pretty standard for American cruisers. But yeah, it won't keep up in the twisties with a Rebel 1100.
