How do you not have more subscribers?? Great editing, informative videos that aren’t painstakingly long, recipes that are easy to follow (as easy as you can get for Viet food lol). Can’t wait to see your channel grow!
Thank you so much! I'm trying to control what I can, like putting out good quality content consistently and putting good energy into the world, hoping that YT will one day return the favor and put my content in front of more people!
I appreciate all of the home meals. It’s definitely something that I’ve been searching for. A lot of blogs has all of the noodle soup and more fun party-like foods, but it is hard to find the every day family meals. I really appreciate you putting together this series!
@@feedthepudge I agree, it’s something I’m trying to be more aware of as I am getting older. Have you done a kho quẹt video yet? I’d love to see home meals where focus was on using ingredients that may be considered waste product elsewhere too.
@@blahhhblahhh1829 I actually had an incredible mam kho quet at restaurant recently that inspired me to recreate it, will have a recipe up for it soon!
You’ve really been grinding these videos out, keep it up! I hope your channel blows up soon, you deserve it. I discovered your channel a couple weeks ago and you’ll be my go to for any Vietnamese recipe I plan on cooking in the future.
Wish I could taste this. It looks healthy and delicious. Won't be able to source the greens up here on the olympic peninsula. My mom was not a great cook but she turned out a damn fine meatloaf and her flank steaks were stellar and cheap back in the 50s and 60s. One of my favorite soups is Korean miyukgook.... seaweed soup. I could eat it every day. Thanks so much for this video!!
My girl is Korean, and she put me on to miyeokguk a few years ago. It's actually my favorite Korean soup. The slimy consistency is actually pretty similar!
My favorite soup my mom makes as well! Not sure if this is a normal way to eat it but my family adds a little bit of shrimp paste (the same one for bun rieu) and then we eat it with salted pickled small eggplants! Delicious!
Following! Found your book short, then blog then this video. Can you show us what the veggie look like at the store? I would probably buy the wrong one knowing me.
Simple and my type of food! This came in my feed today and I'm so glad. I love a good soup especially when my tummy hurts and i don't want anything super solid. I'm going to have to work hard to hunt down this "spinich" tho🥲 Can't wait to watch more💜
Most of the Vietnamese's grocery stores have this veggie during summer. I live in Houston, and it appears it's preferred hot climate. My nephew got the seeds and planted this yr. It was bountiful. He had to give away most of it.

I like that you shared the dishwashing. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else do that. It adds to the hominess of the meal somehow.
I appreciate you watching all the way through!
So happy I found your channel! You’ve been making all my childhood classics and now I can remake these dishes! Keep em coming 🎉
yessss, i got u!
Thanks for sharing this! Loved this dish growing up

Underrated dish. My mom raised me by herself and and would make this for me every day. Thanks for taking me back.
Being able to invoke a sense of nostalgia or bring back a childhood memory through food is incredible
@@feedthepudge you're the Asian version of ratatouille. Keep at it.
My favorites as a kid were banh it in the triangular banana leaves (hence username,) banh bot loc, cha gio and all the caramelized dishes
Thanks for watching all the way through! A lot of your faves are mine too!

Thank you so much for sharing! My favorite dish is still pho ga
My favorite homemade soup from my mom.

Yum! 🎉
My dad would make this dish. Never knew what the leaves were but it was such a comfy and warming dish!
Comfy and heart warming for sure!
@@feedthepudge thanks for posting this! My dad pasted away 5 years ago and at least now I know how to make this. ❤️
@@TORK03hope you get to make this soon, sounds so special and i’m sure your dad would be so proud to see you make it for yourself
I make something similar with spinach. I use chicken broth instead. Your recipe sounds great and I’m going to try it. Thanks
Fresh sliced ginger would be good in it too
Not my mom, but my dad would make winter melon soup with clams and dried baby strimps
Yum! I don’t use clams, but have you seen my canh bi recipe?
@@feedthepudge yes!
Canh Chua Cá Bông Lau.
I love canh chua!
