Did you know that the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary has a basis in the bible? Let me know below!

The Bible does NOT say everything we are to believe has to be explicitly mentioned in the Bible. It does give authority to what we now call the authority of the Catholic Church as given to Peter and the apostles in Matthew 16 and 18. Loosing and binding mentioned. That is Christ given authority so if the Catholic Church says she was assumed then she was. This happened formally on November 1st, 1950 and is a required dogma. Those that say otherwise are anathema. Simply stated I believe it 110%. For those that don't read Luke 2 and pay attention to what Simeon filled with the Spirit says to Mary. Clearly shows God will use the Virgin Mary to reveal and thus test one's true heart.

@@gregnorthway3814 "That is Christ given authority so if the Catholic Church says she was assumed then she was"..Greg, that does not state what they have authority to bind and loose. That is an assumption not based in any text or fact. Not a good way to figure out what actually occurred....

As a fellow Catholic I absolutely believe in the Assumption of Mary. It is difficult to say exactly where Enoch and Elijah went beyond the Earth. I know the word Heaven can refer to a number of places between Earth and the Beatific Vision. Some theories are they went to Abraham's Bosom or what was called Paradise where all the OT saints went awaiting the opening of Heaven after the resurrection and Ascension of Jesus. Some say they are still in that waiting place as they are destined to return to Earth at the endtimes where they will finally face bodily death and then go to Heaven proper.
I do agree that Mary is in Heaven at the Beatific Vision, body and soul, as Jesus is.

It doesn't make sense that God would take these two good, but imperfect men and leave His own, blessed mother to the grave. Hers was the most exemplary life of all.

As Catholics we believe know that the Blessed Virgin is the "Immaculate Conception", she was conceived without original sin. Archbishop Fulton Sheen went into that subject with great detail everyone should look that up. Death is a punishment for original sin so she would be exempt from that and in being the mother of our Lord why would we believe that he would allow his mother to decay in the ground? As Catholics we also know that when Thomas came to the tomb to venerate the Blessed Virgin after her death, she appeared to him and gave him the "Sacra Cintola" the Holy Belt. We also know that she is the Gebirah and the Theotokos and according to the Old Testament and in the story of Bathsheba it tells of how she sat at the right hand of Solomon, the wisest king ever, as the ear to the people their advocate. Throughout the Old Testament the mother of the king was crowned as the queen and sat at the right side of the king so why would we not believe that our Blessed Mother would have the same position with her son our Lord in heaven?

Remember there was no Bible in Jesus' time. There was no printing press. The Bible got collected long after Jesus time. Jesus' words came down orally as tradition. So stop relying on the Bible alone! Read up and use your natural intelligence called common sense. No need to be a theologian.

Difficult to make our Protestant brothers and sisters see this truth when they are already so anti Mary, so anti the Mother of God. But will keep trying.

For most Protestants it would need to be explicit, not “possible” or “cryptic.”

Speaking as a former protestant, even explicit things are rejected. Over & over again, we ask the Blessed Virgin to pray for us now and at the hour of our death. That gets translated as worshipping her, as if she's the one saving us, rather than the Son, Jesus. If asking for intercession equals worship, then why do they worship each other, asking each other to pray on their behalf?

Not assumption but human assumptions.oral traditions over written word. Same in both Judaism and islamic. Mount transfiguration event both Moses and Elijah spoke with Jesus yet it was a vision. The 3 disciples wanted to build tabernacles for both, yet a cloud covered them and only jesus was there. Elijah and Moses considered 2 greatest prophet's yet jesus was above all. He alone was the high priest who alone died for our sins. Moses body was never found, not translated. Revelation 12 is not about Mary. Jesus was the servant like Israel. Jesus Never sinned ,to say Mary is same is against the many references from Moses and the prophets and psalms, that Jesus testified to the 2 disciples on the road to Emmaus.

Mary’s assumption is NOT in the Bible. God can do whatever he wants but that does not mean it will actually happen. BTW during the Middle Ages relic hucksters claimed to have Mary’s breast milk in a cup as well as other relics. There is absolutely nothing in the Bible saying Mary lived without sin.

Thank you Carlos! I just heard a video of someone saying Jesus came and took her and told her the rapture will be soon. And others in comments are saying they have also been told the same. I have seen a number of other videos in the last few years saying that also and again comments saying the same.
Your video is completing for me what I need to know;:
    1. To Love God
    2. Obey God
    3. Get others to God

If not in the bible no where, it's not in the bible. 2 John 1:9-10 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

@@kadeshswanson3991 The Catholic Encyclopedia says: “As the presence of any sin whatever is incompatible with the indwelling of the Holy Ghost in the soul, it follows that at this moment John was cleansed from the stain of original sin.” The Church has never stated it officially, but doesn't dismiss it either. Personally I have no clue. I just brought it up as holiness doesn't seem to be a reason to be assumed, however increases the possibility.

Genises 5: 24. Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him. 2 kings 2:11, As they were going along and talking behold there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire which separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind to heaven. Enoch and Elijah takin up by God is recorded in scripture, nothing about Mary, even in acts 1:11 it records jesus taken up, They also said men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven, enoch, Elijah , jesus, all taken up and recorded in scripture, nothing about Mary. Why? Because Mary died like us all and was buried, she was a sinner like us all, Roman's 3: 23 , for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Roman's 6 : 23. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in christ jesus our Lord
