You're quite the coastal cowboy Brian! Nice steelhead, seeing that pig break off was heart breaking but I'm sure you'll get em next time. I'd recommend bringing a net for that spot when the water's high, so you don't send yourself swimming! Maybe you are trying to be Aqua-man's sidekick 😂but take it from someone who used to do fish surveys, that water isn't easy to wade or swim in high flows. Also, be careful high sticking your Loomis 😬they are extremely tough rods, its all I fish these days, but they still have a breaking point. They are not easy to replace either, from a wallet or a supply chain perspective. Thanks for keeping your fishing vlogs fun, from a OSU alum, Go Beavs!
Awesome to get such a great comment! Nets make things much easier at the bank. I enjoy the game and if a fish gets the best of me, I’m ok with it! 😄 Next video I get in deep following a big fish down and get wet! Frickin fun day and more in my future.
Love your videos. How do you cure your eggs for steelheads? Any tips you can give us? Maybe you can make a video on how you cure your eggs for steelheads 😊
@ i searched for your video on curing eggs but i couldn’t find it. I will search it again. Just plain red hot double stuff or do you mix it with other things. I usually use pautzke stuffs but never been successful with steelheads so i went back to beads and worms
Try gamakatsu finess wide gap 1/0 or 2/0 makes a huge difference bead fishing look to land ratio went way up. Anyways try it or not but that’s my experience I have hooked 28 steelhead so far and have landed 20. Before I was lucky to be 50/50 hook to land ratio with beads
@@AutomagicFishingI totally agree I used to run size 4 and size 2 but I lost so many fish. A buddy of mine is always posting pictures of steelhead he catches in beads so I asked him what style and size hooks he runs and that’s what he told me so I gave it a try and I’m a believer in running a little bigger hook now. Anyways tight lines man🎣
Fished new setup primarily yesterday and it was very good! Took me about an hour to get used to the extra 9” of length on my casting. Swatted some steel tho
I couldn’t say for sure from memory. I think my drag was set a little tighter than I should have it. I’ve struggled coming off salmon season and not used to allowing the fish to run. 10-12# leader vs 25-30# for salmon.

Love your videos. How do you cure your eggs for steelheads? Any tips you can give us? Maybe you can make a video on how you cure your eggs for steelheads 😊
I think I have a video on that. It’s really easy. I use pro cure Red Hot Double Stuff.

@@AutomagicFishing awesome thank you the tip. I will try it this winter season and let you know the result 😎🙏🏻
@ cool
sometimes I wished I lived in Oregon so i could fish those ocean tribs. Daughter lives there, but I don't think I can use that.
Definitely a wonderful place
Killing it on that river this year or what!?
Getting a good share of fish so far
Yessir! It’s been a blast

How many people have figured out your spot.. lol
Lol I don’t feel like I have ownership of spots…. Until I see somebody fishing my fishing hole, grrrr
Nice fishing 🎣 👌
Thanks 😊
Appreciate you tuning into my channel
Sitting down here in Northern California. So envious that your river actually has fish in them still these days.
Still have a few. Not how it used to be long ago.
Thanks for watching
What location is this ?
Sorry Carlos can’t tell spots.
Understandable 🙏🏻 we’re u in Oregon or somewhere else ?
Oregon has many coastal stretches of river that hold fish
Beautiful fish Brian. Great job!!!
Thanks Aqua Man!

Fished new setup primarily yesterday and it was very good! Took me about an hour to get used to the extra 9” of length on my casting. Swatted some steel tho
You about took a swim this time!! Looks exciting!
It’s growing on me!! I should wear my wetsuit!!
Nice fish Brian slaying it out there can't wait to get out there this week
You’ll get some this week for sure!!
Be honest…Did you thumb the big fish?
I couldn’t say for sure from memory. I think my drag was set a little tighter than I should have it. I’ve struggled coming off salmon season and not used to allowing the fish to run.
10-12# leader vs 25-30# for salmon.
Where place for fishing?
Adolfo
Try coastal rivers. Oregon has lots of rivers to explore.
