Actually BTB, even the organic one, has maltodextrin which raises your blood sugar 4x the amount of regular sugar. I switched to “Zoup“ very similar without all the bad.
❤ A girl after my own heart...the more gravy, sauce or condiment, the better! So easy; will be making this weekend. Im a diehard label reader too. 👀Love the kiddos laughter in the background...so pure, so precious. 😊
❤Hallelujah someone finally figured out a thickener for gravy instead of all xanthan gum...slimey in my opinion. I did try using just a fourth of a cup of VKF about six months ago but it didn't get thick...so now I know that I can use 3/4 cup...thank you very much...still praying for your health ❤Praise the Lord Jesus ❤hey everybody please ask Jesus into your heart today while you still have time ❤
I love making sauces/gravies with your 2.0 flour! That's the first thing I tried making when you published the 2.0 flour video and have been using it ever since. Total gamechanger for sure! Instead of bouillon I use homemade broth/stock, sometimes some heavy cream and season based on the dish I'm cooking. My husband has negative health reactions to many of the preservatives and other additives in many of the ready products.
Thank you so much Victoria! Could you please do more holiday ideas and can you also do regular lunches and dinner? How to eat Keto on a budget for large family?
Most bouillon cubes have preservatives that I am allergic to, so was very happy to find Better Than Bouillon that doesn’t have the preservatives that give me migraines. However, it’s still full of bad things so still not great. Someone in the comments recommended Zoup brand and though it says natural flavor its ingredients look better than anything else I have seen. Will definitely try it! It says no artificial ingredients so maybe the dreaded Natural Flavors will be benign.
I have always used Better than Bouillon and don't mind the extra carb. They make a really tasty ham paste for ham gravy. My grandmother used to make homemade ham gravy and BTB's comes close to that. So, now I can make ham gravy with Victoria's recipe. So excited! Thank you, Victoria!!
It does! I’m using Lakanto blueberry muffin mix and add fresh blueberries to it, but it is so very expensive! But, for me, at least, easy to prepare (I am disabled-all the ingredients have to be within arm’s reach of my wheelchair).
I'm so glad you shared your recipe. When I made gravy, I followed a recipe that used xanthan gum & it has sort of a slimy texture that I wasn't crazy about. I did think about your flour but wasn't sure how to go about it, so thank you again for sharing. I can't wait to try this. I was just wondering, have you tried to make sausage gravy using this recipe? Would you use the same amount of your keto flour & use your keto milk recipe? Let me know if you've tried this. I bet it would taste good on those NSKF 2.0 dream biscuits that Highfalutin' Low Carb made on his channel. I made those biscuits & they were amazing. My husband loved them too! If you haven't already tried them, you should! Thank you for all your wonderful recipes.
Interesting. I never saw someone put the roux in the broth instead of adding the broth to the roux. It shouldn’t matter which way you do it, right? Adding broth to the roux might help you more easily thin the broth to your desired consistency by simply adding as much broth as you want to get it right.
Nice job. Try using the knorr bouillon that comes in a jar, it's powdered so no need to wait for a cube to dissolve. I like the better than bouillon also but it takes too long to dissolve. The taste of the knorr bouillon powders are great. Question.........in your experience with bamboo fiber and oat fiber, are they interchangeable? I'm sure you've answered this in a video but have no idea of which one, thks.
Better than boullion for sure. Nasty stuff in the cubes. Better flavor too and no need to stab the cube. This will be awesome as a sausage gravy over your buttermilk biscuits! You could add a tich of Worcestershire sauce for additinal flavor and color. Fork tines would break down that cube if you insist...
Wonderful Victoria! I have a request. Is there anyway at all to find a keto replacement for popcorn. I am on keto for health reasons. And as you know popcorn is way off the list. One thing I truly miss is popcorn. So if anyone could find a replacement it would be you! Thank you so much!
I love popcorn too. I have tried Pork King Good salted butter flavored pork rinds. They checked all the boxes. They are crunchy & taste buttery. I was surprised by how good they tasted. You should give them a try. I bought them from their website. Share your thoughts if you try them.
Rudolph Foods online sells pork rinds you can cook up yourself either by frying in lard or, better yet, air fry. (No mess and the hot air is free!😉) It takes a mere 6-7 minutes in my Ninja Foodi and they come out fresh and perfect! They are sold in a 10 lb. box, but last about a year. Talking about fresh! Sprinkle with your favorite keto seasoning. They are delicious and there's plenty to share. I highly recommend!!
I have used vegetable or chicken broth or even the water out of the tuna can. Add whatever herbs and spices that go with what you're serving. I've also used the water I used to cook cauliflower in and some heavy cream and parmesan cheese to make more of an Alfredo type sauce.

Awe thank you friend!
better than bouillon is way healthier and far less chemicals than the cubes. I prefer a few more carbs to have much better ingredients.
I will use my homemade bone broth.
@majaw7432, same here. I've used BTB for about 24 years and love it. It makes some of the best soup stock, too.
Actually BTB, even the organic one, has maltodextrin which raises your blood sugar 4x the amount of regular sugar. I switched to “Zoup“ very similar without all the bad.
@@jessicakoeser3591 Thanks for sharing that. Is Zoup in regular grocery stores?
Can't wait to make and add pork sausage! 😋
Yeah, am thinking this is a great consistency for a white sausage gravy over keto biscuits.
I thank our Heavenly Father for your inventiveness Victoria!
Thank you for staying ahead of the holidays. And I love how you smother, the best! And eeekkkk, look how close you are to 100k subscribers. Yeah!!!!
Thank you friend!

I'm thinking this with Chicken Fried Steak!
Looks delicious! Thank you for all you do for this community. You area jewel, any blessings to you and your family!
It looks wonderful, Victoria I’m looking forward to trying it!
Thank you💙🙏
Look into Zoup! It has no maltodextrin like BTB or carbs.
I love gravy and I still use your Roux recipe. I’m making this one though for sure. The kiddos in the background … so precious! Love it all!!!
Yummy gravy, cannot wait to try it. Thank you forball you do. Your recipes are so wonderful. ❤

It’s great stuff. Been using it for years.
Thank you for a great recipe. I was wondering if you might include some blueberry muffins sometime. Just sounds good for breakfast.

We love gravy here in South Louisiana. You don't have to brown the flour? Thanks again. May Jesus continue to bless you and your family

Thank you so much for all your hard work!!!! As a request may I ask for some hoagie rolls/sub sandwich rolls?
Wow! Can’t wait to try this!

My response was the same, add the broth to the paste to avoid lumps!
It works either way.
Delicious!
Thank you 😋

❤❤ love your kitchen! Excellent recipe
I will stick with the better than boullion paste. Better flavor. The cubes are made with so much salt.
Can this be used to make a roux for gumbo?
That was my first thought when I saw this video. Will have to give it a try.
Thank you very much.
Is this the gravy you would use on biscuits? My gravy has milk in it. Do you have a milk version gravy recipe?

You had me at gravy 😂
Will this work with your nut free flour?
❤
😀
3:15 Why did you remove it from heat here? Did you turn the heat off to add flour?
Can I use oat fiber instead of bamboo fiber?

Pork rinds are nice and crunchy. (I'm Carnivore)

Try the Churro ones!! OMG.. so good! @@sheilahaun8544
How many carbs and how many calories?
What about darker turkey flavored gravy?
Can you use beef or chicken broth in place of the water and bouillon cubes?
Certainly you can.
I have used vegetable or chicken broth or even the water out of the tuna can. Add whatever herbs and spices that go with what you're serving.
I've also used the water I used to cook cauliflower in and some heavy cream and parmesan cheese to make more of an Alfredo type sauce.
Is there a lot of sodium?
Hi Victoria, please can you tell me why my flour is not smooth like yours? It looks crumbly with balls. Does anyone else have this problem?
Add the broth to the roux gradually while beating out the lumps, like a traditional roux. It will work either way.
Can you eat this way and still lose weight or is this for when you reach the weight you want to be at and you want to maintain it?
Yes, you certainly can eat this way and lose weight!
Was it chicken thighs or chicken breast? Lol
It look like chicken breast, just like she said.
Chicken thighs.
Can this be frozen? I like to be able to grab and thaw. I’d imagine it could for at least 6 months if stored properly.
use the giant Ice Cube trays for Whiskey drinks. The silicone release nicely and come in larger sizes. I also freeze my alfredo.
@@MJN0922 Brilliant idea!!!!!
