I'm a returning gamer, having taken a hiatus for several years and i picked Skyrim up as my first game back at 30 years old. This helps bro, I remembered some things about the game but I've been taking my time and I can't express how fun it's been.

I've only started this game not too long ago before Christmas. Being a 26 year old man now, this game was a boon in my high school. Alas, I didn't have a computer to play the game with. So, I can only chime in the discussion among my gaming friends.
But now, I have a computer, and the kick in the butt to finally start the game. And least to say, as a self-proclaimed RPG fan myself, I'm instantly hooked by it.
Hopefully, I can play this game for the years to come.

I played Skyrim for the first time in 2016, barely knowing any English. Still, had so much fun and the game is so good at guiding you through it that I finished without problems.
Years later and I still play Skyrim, now delving deeper into the roleplay aspects and I owe a lot of my improvement in English to this game.

Great tips right there, but there are a few things you may forgot though:
Take the road east directly out of Helgen to find a skill book on a bandit robbed card and another further east to the left off the road guarded by wolves. Once you've discovered Riverwood both locations would disappear.
If you go to Bleak Falls Barrow before talking to Farengar, Delphine will not place a otherwise unobtainable unique book on Farwngar's desk.
Directly left of Bleak Falls Barrow behind the corner behind the main door is a hidden strongbox with minor loot
Entering most caves at a low level will permanently lock the enemies and the loot within to your level.

Something I do on every playthrough is join the Dawnguard immediately after leaving Riverwood for the free crossbow. It has the base damage of a freaking daedric bow, it's a steel weapon so you can benefit from tempering it very early on, and even if I'm not doing an archer run, it's nice to have as a backup option.

At the enterance to Bleak Falls Barrow (outside, before you enter the dungeon instance), while standing in front of the door, there is another adept locked chest with some pretty good loot (good price to weight ratio like gems), and an apothecary satchel. It's hidden at the left side behind the wall, but from the dungeon gate run left and hug the wall until you see it, you can't miss it.

If you wish to use mines like those in the Sniper Elite (WW2 Sniper) game such as trip mines and others. You can in Skyrim. There is a magic device called a rune that can be very powerful when used carefully. One reviewer said runes are very weak when used real time against an opponent. That is not their strength. You spend mana to lay a run and can only place one initially. As you grow you can lay more and they become stronger in effect. There are runes for:
    fire / frost / shock / poison
You can use runes anywhere but they are best for closed pathways like tunnels and corridors. To use the runes sneak into a position not seen by anyone. Place the rune and sneak away again not seen. When the rune goes off you get credit for sneak attacks. You can bait people into runes if you need to.

There is a Skyrim location in which you can upgrade 2 (Stealth and Archery / Firebolt or 3 (with Bound Bow) skills. It is not hidden but hard to reach so need a horse. Go to Iversted just like normally for the Greybeards quest. Do not cross the bridge over the river; instead turn right and take the path going downhill.
Follow the path all the way towards its bank. There are rocks on the left side about halfway. Turn left go into sneak mode then cross the rocks and go into the river. There is a troll in the cave we want to avoid for now. Follow the water to the bank on the opposite side of the river. Sneak up the bank until you reach rocks and turn right to move behind them.
Turn back and face the river again. Sneak back towards it until you see the cavern with the troll. On the edge of the cliff you drop onto a small scarf of land that is still above the ground of the river. From there you can torment the troll with weak weapons. The object is not to kill the troll but rather enjoy the skills you upgrade.
    Regards

Lean to use the quest marker system and the map. If you are hopeless at direction finding use the clairvoyance spell. Note the map has a full and local mode(L with keyboard), try in a town or village.
Learn to use the favorites/quick selection system. Keyboards can use key bindings to switch weapons/spells etc so no need to break to the menu in the middle of combat.
Combat quick press is attack with no stamina required, long press is power attack uses stamina. Try taking a few swings at nothing to compare them.
Combat foes can block. You can do things to break their block. Foes have stamina and will power attack, you can block.
Just starting now, if using steam you are likely to get the anniversary edition with included fan made DLC. Note that survival mode is fan made and is really hardcore mode.
Adding. Also if this is your first time don't select "Elf" as race because of LOR or anything else where the elves are the good guys. In Skyrim elves are racial supremacists. The Empire, the guys that line you up for beheading in the beginning are in Skyrim enforcing The White-Gold Concordant on behalf of the Elves/Altmer. You should learn all about this as you play. Functionally in game there is really nothing dependent on your race, although being able to breath water is nice but you can do that with potions.

A couple of things to mention to a noobie, Take Faendal as soon as you can as he can carry loot for you, and also when you can afford to train archery from him, just go into his inventory and get your gold back.
Finally for me at least followers have a nasty habit of dying in Dragon attacks, and I think if you are using a guide to start it's worth telling a new player that unkillable followers exist in the game, and it's up to them if they want to look them up.
From my personal point of view as someone who feels like they have spent uncountable hours playing Elder Scrolls games starting with Morrowind, then Oblivion and Skyrim, I would really recommend a new player just play thru the game once without excessively using a guide. It's ok to make mistakes, you can't kill essential NPCs so just have a blast.

The only amendment I feel should be made is in regards to stealing. I'd say there's more than just gold that's safe to steal before joining the Thieves' Guild to access fences. Lockpicks and arrows are also safe, as they are both weightless (unless you're playing Survival Mode). I'd also say other things can be safe to steal on the condition that you're planning to use them relatively soon, like ingots and ores if you're working on leveling Smithing or Soul Gems if you're leveling Enchanting, but also restorative potions if you're running low or skill boosting potions if you're planning to make use of that skill soon (steal a Potion of Haggling, drink it, then sell off a bunch of stuff for extra money), certain foods (especially in Survival Mode), or, rarely, better equipment you don't have easy access to otherwise. Crafting materials and ingredients get used up, and the products aren't considered stolen, so you can grind Alchemy with stolen ingredients and then sell the potions you don't plan to use. And if it's equipment you're actively using, I don't think you should be worried about the additional weight, it would be the same even if it wasn't stolen. But if you do steal better equipment, you might want to join the Thieves' Guild pretty quickly. It won't remain "better" forever.

I STRONGLY APPROVE of Master Neloth's opening advice: do not worry about game mechanics, just have fun! Trying to figure out game mechanics is like watching a movie and trying to figure out camera angles, lighting, props and the script. It totally kills immersion. For example, can you improve your archery skill in the game and level up by intentionally shooting at friends and non-hostile characters? Yes, you can, but its a stupid way to play a game, it breaks any feeling of immersion in the world as a story.

What mods are you using on your game? Thanks for the video,I feel like using the same strategy, but never focus on only 6 skills to balance.

Before you approach Riverwood, fast travel back to Helgen, turn around, take the left fork, and go until.you find the Ambushed Caravan. There will be bandits, so be careful. But, it despawns when you approach Riverwood. So, don't miss it.

I do this! First I do some quests so my character's level increases! Then Winterhold trains his magic! Then defeat Alduin! Then I convert Mimak to Brothers in Arms! mods! then the vampire hunters! and the other Elder scrolls! And finally I overthrow Stormcloks or the Empire!

Another piece of advice is to avoid mods on your first playthrough, excluding ones that fix bugs and glitches exclusively. Once you have a feel how the game functions, you can go into ither stuff. Also, do research on mods. A bad mod can brick your character or even force you to install the whole game.
Also, although this goes against what I just said, if on Anniversary Edition, get the Anniversary Content Picker mod. There is zero options otherwise to disable any of the included Creation Club mods. Without getting into technical details, the mod tricks a script/code that checks if Creation Club content is installed by having them present but only actually having the mods you have chosen to install installed. Be warned that things like the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch requires certain mods to be installed, unfortunately.

It's better to leave Skill Books for when your Skill is around 90. They will always give enough XP for a level-up and since Skills take more XP to advance, it's going to save more time in the long run. Skill Books can be recognized by their value, they will always be worth 50-60 Septims.
Also, Skill Book XP is affected by the bonuses from Resting or the Standing Stones.
