I used to have Toon Twister, but I lost it somehow. The only short I remember making was one where Spongebob, and maybe Patrick, challenging Squidward to a race throughout locations from the four cartoons. It ended with Squidward tripping over a watermelon, making Spongebob the winner, and ending it with Squidward crying. Also, Hobo Bros.
I remember I got it as a Christmas present on Christmas Eve, 2003 when I was 11. My dad thought I'd spend hours playing it since it was based on my four favorite Nicktoons at the time. I played it once and lost interest pretty quickly. I only made one short. It didn't help that it was the same Christmas where I got my GameCube with various Sonic games (as I was a huge Sonic fan.) I found the limited selection of everything disappointing as well, especially the characters. I mean, Jimmy Neutron's character selection didn't even include Sheen and he was one of the main characters on that show. I had the X-Men Cartoon Maker since my early childhood and I got a lot more use out of it since it had a bigger variety of characters, backgrounds, props and such plus you could even draw in it so there was more freedom for creativity.
Oh wow, this brings me back! I got it from my school's Scholastic Book Fair (I wasn't really into books xD) when I was in like 4th grade and - no joke - I spent hours playing this and making my own videos. I specifically remember doing Nicktoons adaptions of classic fairytales, narrated by Jimmy Neutron. I called them "Jim's Fairytales." I am the worst :P I used the audio recording feature to impersonate the characters and make my own dialogue, too. I now edit videos and do some animation too, as well as act. So in a way, this game really got me into many of the things that I've grown to love :) Thank you for reminding me of this.
They need to reboot this game and give us access to more animations, much more dialogue, animated backgrounds (if you want them to be), fully rendered 3D environments, free camera control (so you can see the 3D environment in any angle you want to), interactive props, all the music from all the shows, free to choose for any scene you want, and so much more. Include Danny Phantom and My Life as a Teenage Robot for access to super-hero/villain characters, weapons and enemies and the possibilities are endless. I think there's potential here for a good game. Could be like G-Mod (or maybe Valve's Source Filmmaker?) but with Nicktoons if they give you tons of free reign over the characters, dialogue, backgrounds, camera and animations.

It's kinda weird that Nickelodeon made 2 games with different shows, when they easily could combine 3D movie maker and Toon twister. I guess it's because of 2 things. 1. Some toons like Spongebob, Fairly odd parents weren't created in 1990s, meanwhile Rocko and Ren & Stimpy were already outdated for early 2000s standards. 2. Different developers, 3DMM was made by Microsoft, and TT3D was made by Schoolastic, so maybe that's why. But I feel like these 2 games would be perfect as 1 big game with 7 nicktoons! For both 1990s and 2000s fans, it would be awesome!
If you want a better Nickelodeon Movie Maker game, there’s one that was made in 1996 featuring characters from Ren And Stimpy, Rocko’s Modern Life & Aaaahhh Real Monsters and it feels a lot more easy to control the characters and props in it.
I got this from a book sale at my school years ago. My sister and I had fun playing it. I was shocked to discover Wayforward made it. A company I'd forget about only to rediscover years later due to the Shantae series. It blew my mind when I found out I played something they made several years prior.
I went over to watch some gameplay and it’s cool how you can get the characters to address anyone. My childhood self would be amazed hearing Mr Krabs say “Hello, Carl!” (actual line from someone’s movie) When I heard Cindy from Jimmy Neutron say “hello Spongebob” I realized that may as well just be Sandy. I think they share a voice actress.
My little sister had that game when she was little I don't remember too much I only remember her making a cross over with spongebob and cast of the farily odd parents I do remember playing Nickelodeon 3D movie maker I made a lot of weird movies back then 😅

I spent HOURS playing this game when it came out. It was hard to find lines the characters said that actually made sense to what you were doing. But it was a real lot of fun. For a kid of the time period. This was exciting.
