There is no way in hell I would have ever figured out this calibration. So sincerely thank you so very much. You are appreciated in the flight sim community.
Gavin, thank you so much for taking the time to create these videos. It really is very much appreciated, and I think I can speak on behalf of the entire flight sim community to say a massive THANK YOU!!!
Love it. I just really hope they get the chart screens working. And it would be absolute perfection for me. The aircraft is brilliant already dont get me wrong! Thanks FBW
I managed to get mine set up earlier and it all worked pretty well, although looking at this video I still need to set the engine start switches up - I'd forgotten that. I did make the mistake of putting my A380 into a holding pattern while I tried to figure out what to do next, which managed to over-stress the aircraft and throw me back out to the menu. 😆
Amazing thanks for this! I’m using the honeycomb bravo throttles and couldn’t figure out why the throttles were behaving in such bizarre ways. Didn’t know FBW had setup their own throttle calibration for this aircraft 😆
You had problems with overlapping throttle because your throttle axis have curves set by default, if you open sensitivity for your axis in settings and set everything to 0% and Reactivity to 100%. That will fix the issue with scaling of the axis. Also you can still use "Throttle 1/2/3/4 0 TO 100%" aircraft will recognize them.
hello Gavin you have to go to the sensitivity setup and put every thing to zero to have strait lines and then you can calibrate your throttle without touching the deadband in the tablet
Great video to the CLOSE end, then the overlapping values, you jumped and I could not get it to work. I wish you had more patience and explained that, which is the CRUCIAL point. Thanks
Hi, any clue how to set up autobrake selector ? The hardware switch does not work properly, when i set any autobrake setting it automatically switches back to disarm.
Your help fixed the throttle issue. Thank you very much! But I have a problem. The brakes, spoilers, and flaps are defaults, but the fbw380 won't move according to the lever position. How do I fix this? Actually, I reset my tca once
If you have or know someone with a 3D printer, make some new detents to push Flex and Toga higher up the range. Makes it a lot more realistic than having them evenly spaced like the TCA throttle is set up out of the box.
I also recommend checking the charts for throttle (sensitivity - set everything to 0) In my case, the throttle did not see the idle position because of this. so i had only revers climb and toga. setting all of that to 0 fix this issiue
I am curious about that as well,I got only 2 options, flaps fully up or down spoilers the same and gear only goes up for down position in need to press G
Happy to be shot down here but as you set all 4 in settings would you not need to select 4 in the efb. 1 and 2 go off the one axis now so using the 2 axis option in the EFB would surely only calibrate to the left hand physical throttle lever to do all 4?
Not quite. So msfs is now set up for engines 1 and 2 to be controlled on one axis, and engines 3 and 4 one the second axis - so you're only calibrating 2 axis in the EFB.
It appears MSFS doesn't have enough autobrake setting positions to get the knob to work in every position. The best I could do was disarm, LO, Mid (2) and HI. BTV and 1 don't seem to have a binding option in MSFS. Hopefully changes in MSFS2024.
I’ve tried using the side stick to move the nose wheel when taxiing but found it extremely challenging. The plane would start turning left when I was trying to turn right for example. Any thoughts of a fix for this? Maybe I did something wrong on my end. Thanks for the help!
Very helpful tutorial, when I try to move my left throttle forward, it puts in in reverse thrust, but my right throttle seems to work, like the left throttle is reversed, any suggestions ?
@ thanks that fixed it. Also, is it normal for the plane to keep drifting into one spot? , like I can’t control it, as the Rutter keeps steering it towards the right
This unfortunately highlights one of the biggest issues I have with MSFS2020. You cannot set up profiles and assign them to specific aircraft like XPlane. I did an A380 flight then wondered why when I switched to the 737 I had both engines controlled by 1 thrust lever.
There is no way in hell I would have ever figured out this calibration. So sincerely thank you so very much. You are appreciated in the flight sim community.

Thank you so much for this video. I would never been able to calibrate/assign my controls without this :)
Love it. I just really hope they get the chart screens working. And it would be absolute perfection for me. The aircraft is brilliant already dont get me wrong! Thanks FBW

Once again, clear and precise for us noobies. Thanks again. Will make setup a breese.
Glad to help!

I can confirm this. I used the Fenix TCA profile and this works fine. You then also do not get the overlapping error.
Was shouting at the screen watching the struggle with this last night!
I set 1&4 and 2&3 that way I can use reverse thrust on the middle throttles
Changing sensitivity settings got it to work for me. Took a few hours going back and forth to it but eventually I figured it out.
nice thank you!
Lossless scaling and lock Fps and the. X 2-3 Fps. Works perfect. Even in Dubai with a lot of traffic I have smooth performance.
What card do you have installed?
My gtx 3060ti simply cannot handle this aircraft, although I do appreciate that the A380 is in Alpha release

Great video Gavin... Australia.
So helpful - as always :-)
Thanks so much Gavin.
Thank you for the guide! What have you gotten as your sidestick sensitivities for this big bird. Would you mind sharing them?
I was hoping for a video like this, thank you
hello Gavin you have to go to the sensitivity setup and put every thing to zero to have strait lines and then you can calibrate your throttle without touching the deadband in the tablet
Yeah, I noticed that too ages ago, after going through the FBW manual for recommended settings. I don't even need to touch the EFB for that.
Thanks for the setup video!
thank you so much for this tutorial, it helped me alot :)
make sure to check sensetivity before starting the calibration, set all to 0% ded zone like 5% ,reactivity 100%.
Shame there isn't a video like this for Honeycomb Bravo
I couldn’t find that calibration tab for the life of me! Haha doh.
Thanks.
What sensitive for the sidestick?

Thank you very much🙏🏻🙏🏻
Why is there another (2nd) column of assignable inputs to the right of those you are assigning please (which always seem to be blank) ?
great job me friend help a lot thanks you have a fan
Glad I could help
Thank you thats was very usefull :)
Hi, any clue how to set up autobrake selector ? The hardware switch does not work properly, when i set any autobrake setting it automatically switches back to disarm.
Is it possible to configure the Auto Brake knob on the TCA quadrant to match the A380 which has a similar Auto Brake system?

How do I switch between fbw a320 and a380 settings ? Do I have to roll back den profile ?
I can’t get my reverse thrust to work what do I do
How do I configure the tca Boeing throttle?
On the Thrustmaster throttles there is a slider switch Eng1&2 and then 3&4. Does the position of these switches matter? Thanks for your video. I
The deadband wont move out of the grey, tried changing the values but nothing is working.
Can you do a tutorial on getting the flaps lever and speedbraked and parking brake to work

My throttle is at idle but in the sim it is In the climb detent??

Hi quick question, do you know how to put the btv on the throtle quadrant to work, thx
Did you get a fix? I'm trying to figure this out lol
Fenix uses 0-100? I had a normal throttle axis for the A320 and it worked. Should I have 0-100 for Fenix?
If it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it 😉,I’m using the same setting
how do i make it climb
I need help with setting up a single throttle, and how to calibrate it
Assign the one throttle axis to all 4 engines. Then select 1 throttle axis in the EFB.
I set my throttles to use the 0 > 100% and they work fine

I am having trouble with this one as well

Hi Gav, is there any way to configure TCA autobrake knob to work in the A380?
Did you get a fix? I'm still trying to set up BTV on my auto brake panel but I can't see the setting anywhere
when i increase throttle speed on the tca, in game the throttles go backwards, is this something to do wih sensitivity, how can i do this
Check to see if REVERSE AXIS is ticked in MSFS settings.
Now that mapping is done, I’m concerned about this big boy 8k textures chugging 21Gb of my vram😂.

I use Sonicviz A/C Manager, the payware version. Got if off Orbx don't know if anyone else sells it.
What’s your sensitivity settings?
i don’t have throttle 3 and 4 in the power management part. Not sure why
Did you select “filter” to all?
@ nvm i wasn’t looking well enough 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
ta, just set this up for two throttles, tomorrow will plug in the additional throttle and set that up.
Excellent tutorial to assist! But looks damn complicated?!
TCA Sidestick Sensitivity Settings Gav?
I've not had chance to adjust mine yet, but I believe FBW have them as linear.
Why not just use spad next?
How do I get it

Make one for rudders. Rudders are not working.
Please.
